Despite only really playing at the weekend due to working I'm now 180k through Level 31. Today I cheated somewhat. The M25 was stationary, so I opened the app and left it on. I had 8 eggs cooking and between junctions 18 and 22 managed to hatch 7 of them. Mantine, 2x Exegcute, Krabby, Eevee, Togepi and Magby.

Congrats Abbey on reaching Level 30, and commiserations Spammy on not being able to log in.

I fear he TM's are a step too far on the Pokémon world for me! I'm sure someone else can help you.

I am wondering about all this "only 50 candies a day" nonsense, that's more than I ever made in the old system...and have only had it once in the new system, the gyms are such high turnover. I had one in For 24 hours, but that was a new gym which is a bit more out of the way. I went to put another mon in it today, but valour had just taken it over. I couldn't bring myself to battle it down as it was the only red gym in town!

So what are these fast tm thingies, how should I use the one I got for the best?

A fast TM affects a Pokemon's first move. So you only want to use it on a Pokemon whose first move you want to change.

For example, if you want a double Dark Houndoom (best dark in the game with double dark) but its fast move is fire and charged is dark, use your fast TM to reroll the dice and have a chance at getting a dark move to make it double dark.

Does that make sense?

That does make sense. I tend to be of the" tap your screen a lot and make the other guy fall down" type of player.

I've had 3 rare candy from 2 raids, is it a level thing?

DameDeDoubtance Ha ha It's just the moves can make or break how good a Pokemon is.

If you have a double dark Houndoom, you get the STAB bonus too (or any Pokemon that has double of the same moves as it's type, i.e. Fire Pokemon with double fire).

So I'm going to use my fast TM on either my Houndoom to try to get double dark or my Typhlosion to try to get double fire.

I'm not sure whether it's a level thing or not, but I've done eight raids now, done all levels, and still no rare candy! I must just be unlucky

Where I live there's loads of raids happening all the time but there's never anybody there, so I haven't a hope of joining a team, it's always just me.

Bloody unlucky! I'm still in 3 gyms and 2 others have piled in. There just aren't enough red or yellow players round here so the gyms don't stick.

Need to hold off and stock up on potions and revives, I hate not being able to revive 'mon. I feel like a bad parent.

Well I've had three mon kicked out of gyms today after holding them for a few days. 50 coins. Meh. Cba with gymming whilst there's no incentive to keep them in.

Both my pokemon have been kicked out. Thankfully as it happened yesterday amd today i got 100 coins. A few coins more had I been in the gyms using the old method so I guess that's good.

I lile the new Gym systems. Gyms switch reallu quickly here so I used to get in 1, maybe 2 and then collect the coins straight away.
Then I wouldn't bother again with gyms until the next day. So I got on average about 40 coins per week.
I'm getting close to 50 per day now. My mons usually get kicked out after about 90 minutes but I can put several in different gyms throughout the day. Brilliant!

Oh, and I finally caught Snorlax!

I had 3 mons in and they were all kicked out around midnight, same thing happened the day before and it's always the same 3 players. They all own mighty mon and seem to have lot's of each variety, multiple Snorlaxes etc.

It's weird because I've never seen any of them playing, not one, but I have seen most of the other gymers of all three teams.

I have come to the only logical conclusion, there is a crack team of Vampires working my patch, bastards.

I have the same problem with no one ever being there for raids. I am now going to stick to level 1 and maybe an odd level 2 that I can beat on my own after spending yesterday in a level three one and not being able to beat it on my own.

Ruhrpott the same for me! I'm either at work taking a few minutes at lunch and can't wait around, or at home where there is only one gym, no players, and I can't leave the house anyway because I have the kids.

No one else is doing raids here either it seems.

For the first time since mid-March, I got an evolutionary item outside of my 7-day streak! And it was a second King's Rock which was the last one I needed. Also I now have enough for a Meganium.

I'm going to do a little lucky egg sesh, which'll get me to level 30, and 222 Pokémon in the dex.

Happy with that.

I think there are two many raids around here. I work in a hospital and there are about 6 gyms directly around me which is good but they are all running raids all day and i don't think there are that many people playing around here anymore. Also can't really go up to all the people sat around the lake in the gardens asking if they are going to go in the next raid or sat on the seats in front of the dentist school. Yesterday was loads of people around as it was sunny but no one joined in the raid the whole hour.

And I only use my free pass so only one raid per day

I have 5 spare king's rocks! Finally got my sun stone which is the last one I need of the special items (well need another one too but don't have a sunkern to evolve yet anyway)

In evolution items I have:

• 5 King's Rocks
• 5 Sun Stones
• 8 Metal Coats
• 1 Dragon Scale
• 5 Upgrades

Mostly only get them at the end of my 7 day streaks.

I've tons of the others, but this is only my second ever King's rock. Poor old Poliwhirl has been waiting around for this day since gen 2 came out!

Just done a big mass evolve and declutter. 53k xp, so now only 50k from L32...
Now evolved Sunflora and Kingdra.

The rate of raids has calmed down. I didn't do any yesterday as DS2 was around. There's a L2 starting up in a while so I'll have a go at that. I'm definitely doing better on the coins with this system. I've noticed more players have got a foothold in too.

I live too far away from the gyms to see when any raids are starting up :( Going to go for a bike ride to the shop now (to buy stuff for making cornflake cakes thanks to another thread!) and will have a looksee if there are any raids going on. Will go via the graveyard to stick someone in there.

Er to stick a pokemon in there, not a person!

I got stopped by a man in the graveyard talking about pokemon but because he was talking quickly and the language barrier, I wasn't quite sure if he was asking me if there's a better place to play pokemon than in the graveyard or telling me off for playing pokemon in the graveyard. Oh well.

Did two raids today (first one using yesterday's raid pass, then got a new raid pass so did another raid on my way home) and got a Quilava and a Bayleef and defeated two gyms and found a friendly gym to put one 'mon in, though two of them are home already with just a couple of coins between them.
