Despite only really playing at the weekend due to working I'm now 180k through Level 31. Today I cheated somewhat. The M25 was stationary, so I opened the app and left it on. I had 8 eggs cooking and between junctions 18 and 22 managed to hatch 7 of them. Mantine, 2x Exegcute, Krabby, Eevee, Togepi and Magby.

Congrats Abbey on reaching Level 30, and commiserations Spammy on not being able to log in.

I just caught this in a raid! I'd been walking my exeggcute to try to get one so was happy to see one in a gym.

I called it Eggward Grin (Yes, I'm aware it's a girl but I don't like Eggwina and really wanted an Eggward so transgender it will have to be!)

I took part in my first raid this morning and it went pretty well. I caught a crocanaw which was pretty cool, as I didn't have one.

Psammead yy it seems pointless to be in more than one gym when you can't guarantee they'll come out on different days. Also, everyone seems to have realised it's better to leave gyms until the pokemon are all demotivated and then take them over. We have three gyms nearby where that's exactly what's happening. In fact I have to go out later and may take DS so he can take down one of them down. The pokemon will all be low by then.
Since the new format we've had 6 pokemon in gyms that have lasted from 14 hours to 2days12hours and we received 128 coins. I guess it still works out more than we would have received under the old system even though two of our pokemon returned with no coins.

That doesn't seem to be happening here; everyone just takes them down as and when they get to them regardless of motivation. It only takes 3 or 4 goes to kill them.

I have 2 pokemon in two gyms. Does it mean that I will only get 50 coins for tje two of them? They have been in there from the day that the new gyms were set up.

Dillite2 Pretty much, yeah. If they both come out on the same day, you'll only get 50 coins.

If one comes out on Tuesday and the other Wednesday, you'll get 50 on Tuesday and 50 on Wednesday.

Can you put a pokemon into a gym while a raid is on? I realized there is space in a gym that I drive past on my way home but there will be a raid on at that gym around that time. Golden egg, three heads, no way I can do it on my own.

No, I asked the other day. When a raid is on you can't see the Pokemon that are in the gym, add a new Pokemon or feed berries until the raid is over.

Running out of potions now, they seem a bit thin on the ground. I love the new candy you get after a raid, saves me walking 5k a time and they are edging me closer to my Tyranitar.

Still glitchy, had to reload over a dozen times on a walk today which was frustrating. My avatar can't get near things she just stands still like a potato, was smooth a silk before the update. Hope they sort it out as it's getting tedious.

Yeah, they'll want to make sure it stays in the gym so your team can keep it. I regularly feed other Pokemon low on motivation.

I like how you see all the mons stood together in the new gyms, they always look like they are at a slightly awkward drinks party together and have run out of conversation Grin

Did my first raid - Yay Magicarp! Don't think my Jolteon took any damage at all. Think I'm going to like raids after all, hoping for a Croconaw or Bayleef tomorrow. Rare candy is ace. Just wish I had a bit more spare time (Can I give up my job and just go to raids? Can I pay the bills with rare candy?)

After walking a million miles to get Tyrannitar, and evolving a 'caught my attention' Larvitasr because I didn't have a better one, I hatched a 'wonder' tonight - should have waited! Oh well, got loads of candy now.

You get coins from gyms, not candy.

If your Pokemon came out a day after each other, you'd get 50 each day. It sucks if they all come out on the same day though.

But I think they're working on that Smile

Yes, the gyms are a bit weird now, I don't really know what to put in - it almost seems to make no difference. I'm using Umbreon as my first choice, just because I think he's cool.

I'm loving the extra storage. It always made me sad having to throw things away. It's especially useful for players like me that use a go plus (all the time) Grin

Know where my pokemon are when they are in gyms. I used to name and date them before and I'm glad not to have to do it anymore.

I'm going to be earning a lot fewer coins though. I was regularly earning 100 a day before. I'm not sure it matters too much though. 🤷🏻‍♀️. I don't buy incubators and I've now maxed out my storage.

Yes, no matter how long my Blissey stays in the gym now it won't earn any more that 50 coins. If I get it out on a day when something else comes out it earns nothing.
I would rather rotate them in and out every day than have one in for days.

PokemonGo Oh yes, I love being able to know where my Pokemon are! I used to name them according to gym before too.

I also love that it tells you when you battle how many battles your Pokemon has won so far!

I guess I'm confused by how gyms work then - why can you not get more coins from your Blissey?

TheweewitchRoz At the current time, you can only get a max of 50 coins per day.

So if Blissey has been in there for two days or ten, it will only come back with 50 coins. If another Pokemon has already come back with 50 coins that day, the Blissey will come back with no coins.

I believe they'll change it though; I think it'll take a few weeks for everything to settle down, glitches to be fixed and changes to be permenant.

With this 50 coin limit per day I don't see the point in feeding berries?
