Despite only really playing at the weekend due to working I'm now 180k through Level 31. Today I cheated somewhat. The M25 was stationary, so I opened the app and left it on. I had 8 eggs cooking and between junctions 18 and 22 managed to hatch 7 of them. Mantine, 2x Exegcute, Krabby, Eevee, Togepi and Magby.

Congrats Abbey on reaching Level 30, and commiserations Spammy on not being able to log in.

Thanks Psam. Not sure we will see those here but will definitely save them. There's never anything good here anyway! Never seen a Lapras, one Snorlax in the wild which got away in a single shot. I still have loads to catch but being a rural player (both work and home) sucks!

It was mostly like a regular gym battle and the game preselected the best mon to battle with.

It then gave him a timed countdown? Poor kid.

We got here before the raid opened. There were 17 other people battling.

They are all gone now though and he still can't battle.

Yes, poor kid. He had a pass and everything. He didn't get anything. I guess it is over now though? He seems a bit confused as to what we should do?

There are more raids starting in like 20 minutes. Maybe we should try a different phone and see if that helps.

Ah, that could be it. We will get to the another raid early. How can you tell how many have checked in to raid the gym?

Oh sorry he says he was on the raid list and thy took his pass. They just wouldn't let him battle. Going home to get another phone.

Try a different one! Maybe reboot the phone in between. I thought possibly I checked into the battle from home (not far away) and got a raid pass at a pokestop on the way.

Report it as a problem to Niantic on the app, Raspberry - they might be able to refund his pass at least.

Ok we at another gym raid starting in a minute. His phone is still saying error so he's on his dad's phone. Very annoying as I don't want to buy him a new phone!

Just want to check, has anyone successfully done Gym Raids on an iPhone 5s?

I did a raid on my own. The boss was a 24,000 blastoise... it didn't end well for me 😂.

He is now battling a 30,000 Rhydon - looks like there are 3 other with him.

I did a raid! It was a 17000+ something CP Vaporeon and I was the only one there, so I tried twice and lost miserably both times. But then just as I was about to leave a teenager turned up to fight it too, and we took it down together. Very chuffed
