Wow - the gym prestiging changes have decimated London gyms. The 10 dragonite towers are now level 2 and the only L5 is clearly being bubble stratted.

I've lost motivation today now I've got my Venosaur

I do hope they release gen 2 sooner than later, otherwise they'll lose the interest of key players that have completed the dex already.
I'm only on 115 but it's going to be forever to get the candy I need to evolve the last ones - a fresh batch whilst slogging away at the last few gen 1s would be great.

The increased drops is handy. Will help me to fill ds1's bag for him.

I did notice more stuff coming from pokestops and thought it was my lucky day.
Have noticed a few Pokemon as well but as I was driving I had to let them go! Boo.

I have been randomly catching Mr Mimes and deleting them for a while as they are never that high CP so I caught them for the XP and then just kept the top one.

Now I have two that are over 1000CP and not bad. But I have about 125 Mr Mime candies. Oops wonder what to do with all that candy.

I am 2 candies off evolving Vulpix which pleases me: cant wait to see Nine Tales.

I've been seeing more in the nearby bit but hardly any actually shown up, but I haven't been walking round town today. Hopefully I can get my bike sorted tomorrow so I can go for a ride round town. Really need to get to a pokestop as I'm almost out of balls and I want the bonus.

I've definitely seen loads today and am running very low on balls.
I've also taken down the local gym from level 9 l the way to zero all by myself in just over half an hour. Definitely a lot easier now.

Currently holding 5 gyms but can only claim in the morning - have no hope of keeping them all but hopefully at least 3!

Still holding 8 gyms and am amazed not to have lost the two L1s today! Maybe it was too cold out.

I have managed to refill my bag and also caught a tonne of Pokemon - need to spend some time appraising and transferring.

Turns out DD also wants coins to increase her items and pokemon storage, but she's only getting in after I do, it's MY phone.

On the way home today I detoured to pop one of my guys into a space in a gym, then DD and I popped out after school for me to nab a space in a local gym - I checked it was still held by our team before we left the house. By the time we got there it was red, so I battled it to grey and popped my guy in. Literally a couple of minutes later it was back to red, so battled again and back to blue, with my guy back in. I need to hang on in there for another hour and a half to get any coins. I don't dare check in the meantime. LOL!

QueenLizIII I've seen Pikachu on the 'sightings' screen twice now, but no sign of him. If he shows up it better be when I'm on foot and have to time log in and out to get him for DD and DS as well, rather than when I'm on a bus or they'll never speak to me again.

DD and DS have an activity this evening, so I'm planning on going walking whilst they're there as I agree that there seem to be more pokemon around than before the changes so I want to see what I can catch.

What does everyone else do with their Mr Mimes and Jynxes? I currently have 13 Mr Mime and about 9 Junx all taking up room in my storage (running low). It feels a shame just to send them to the grinder because there's no point in powering them up.

Added Grimer to the Pokedex today, one just popped up, it wasn't on the 'recent sightings' list. I also caught my second ever Clefairy, so now only need to walk 16km to evolve Clefable. Hoping to do a Lucky Egg evolve session at the weekend and will deffo get Clefable, Tentacruel and Angry Vulva.

A weird thing happened today. At lunchtime I was busy hunting and a Pikachu was nearby. I was able to fill up my bag, merrily hitting Pokestops aplenty, but no Pokemon appeared. So I closed the app and re-opened it and lo, 9 Pokemon appeared on screen. Sadly no Pikachu though.

A 5km egg hatched into a Ponyta, which I already have, but don't mind as it's gorgeous and brought 17 candies with it. :o

Another weird thing. I had 8 Pokemon run away today, the 25XP at least made up for that a bit. The last two, an Eevee and a Weedledick froze the game and I had to reload. They're both now in my Pokemon caught list.

I evolved mankey to primeape today and have now caught 120

I ship the Jynx straight out because I never found a use for them. I've kept the Mr Mime because I think they are cute and they creep my son out.

In my last clearance I got rid of a lot of stuff, I got the head count down to 170.

wow nutella taking down a level 9 gym, i'm impressed. Were many of the pokemon in the gym higher CP values than yours? I've never even attempted that because most gyms round our way are full of 2500cp + ones and my highest is cp2022.

Definitely fight even if they're higher tumpy it gets you more xp

Finally got my Bulbasaur back today. He's been in a gym around a month and I had no idea where. Felt rather neglectful!

Tumpy get stuck in - you don't have to think of the line up as one on one, you can pick six of yours that the bottom placed in the gym is weak to, fight that one and then run away. You can switch them out before they faint and save on revives.

ZebraOwl I'd love a Grimer, I've never seen so much as a shadow of that or a Muk.

I didn't know you could switch fighters before they need reviving knitting - how do you do that?

On the fight screen in the gym there are two arrows at the right hand side I think and if you click on that you can switch fighters mid battle

Or apparently you can swipe up on the screen to do the same thing
