PokemonGo a similar thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I was scrolling through my list and noticed a CP481 Pikachu and wondered where the fuck I'd caught it. About 20 seconds later I got the 'Oh?' screen and hatched a CP481 Pikachu.

Literally started on a 10k egg last night as I thought I might as well try for a good one. If I knew Halloween would be on I would have done another small one and hatched it in the morning traffic again , so annoying!

I'm guessing nobody has a clue as to when it ends? As much as I love the candy I'm kinda done with the same Pokemon and fancy going back to normal. I've other stuff I need to work on!

ZebraOwl · 02/11/2016 06:52

I finally got up to Level 24 AND - having totally missed the Buddy thing until this thread - walked a Nidorina for candy to evolve a Nidoqueen at long last. I now have 126 Pokémon in my Pokédex (& 15 bingo lines - am glad I'm not the only person who counts those)

The downside is that I really wasn't well enough to go out yesterday so not only was I dancing badly in class (I actually skipped floor work to drink some juice in case my blood sugars were dropping... I couldn't be bothered to actually check [I'm not diabetic, I hasten to add, just have a ridiculous body that sometimes thinks a blood glucose of around 1 is perfectly appropriate]) I got to feeling so grim I had to leave early. (Turns out my teacher was going to tell me I had to stop dancing anyway...)

THIS NEXT BIT MENTIONS BEING SICK. NOT IN HEAPS OF DETAIL OR ANYTHING, BUT I APPRECIATE PEOPLE MIGHT NOT WANT TO READ...

And then after a while squinched up in the changing room & taking ages to change I finally threw up everything I'd had to eat - & most of what I'd had to drink - up to that point in the day. I know that eating disorders are rife in ballet world, but if I heard someone being that sick I'd not ignore it: if it's someone purging they'll just tell you they have a migraine/hangover/food poisoning/stomach bug/food intolerance. If someone is wildly tachcardic from projectile vomiting (& as well as being sheet white, in visible distress because they've not been able to clean the cubicle not themselves very well).

HAVE SHUT UP ABOUT THAT NOW...

Having to get downstairs to commonroom & through people there for auditions & then up to reception & explain... blah. And my lovely ballet teacher worries about me when I'm extra!ill & she felt bad because she wanted to stay with me but had meetings at the school. Am just hoping she doesn't check with reception that I took a cab to the station as she said I was to, because I walked. Partly for the fresh air, partly for the Pokémon Blush

Am hoping it was just an instance of my body generally being ridiculous & wanting a new anti-emetic patch (I am A Special Zebra, I have patches that in the UK are only given to people during chemo: there had to be Meetings & everything...).

Was still poorly enough last night that I fell asleep with the hall & landing lights on as well as my bedroom one. And, um, my hair still in a bun... Definitely no ballet for me today (if I made it to the studios my teacher wouldn't let me dance... & TBH she'd be right...) but I might make it to the park at the top of my road for a bit. Maybe if I'm careful the park just along from the bottom of my road as well. I want to walk my Koffing to get the 3 more candies I need to evolve a Wheezing. (Although for a brittle asthmatic something about that feels a bit wrong...)

Because I've been awake for a while the cats are requesting I furnish them with breakfast, so I shall stop blethering at you all. Whoever asked about Thanksgiving, though, this year it's Thursday the 24th of November Smile

DeathMetalMum · 02/11/2016 07:24

Still on here too! Wishing I had kept dratini as my buddy now... switched over to Sandslash before bed last night already got on of the two candies I need to evolve.

Was actually looking forward to some 'normal' Pokemon again. The spooky Pokemon have definitely replaced any variety that would spawn near me. Just getting the normal pidgeys and ratta's and tonnes of drowzees even in town yesterday was the same!

FrogTime · 02/11/2016 07:40

It's still on here...someone in a Facebook group said 7am because that's San Francisco time where niantic are based?? But 7am been and gone and I still get 2 candies for transfer.
Even if it was on all day I've got a weird work day and not as much walking as usual so won't get my eggs hatched.

tumpymummy · 02/11/2016 07:44

Yes i thought it would finish at 7am too (Midnight SFO time). Oh well, not complaining. Means i still won't get any works done. One of the advantages of working from home!!

GeekyWombat · 02/11/2016 07:50

So glad I read this thread, it's still on here too - double transfer candy and a Cubone outside my house to prove it. I shall now be walking to work!

Now the question is do I switch out my buddy to a low level Growlithe to get three candy and do an evolution for evolution's sake or stick with my 12-candie-away Nidorino for a high level (but also new) Nidoqueen?

derektheladyhamster · 02/11/2016 07:56

I think I read somewhere that the Halloween special ends on the 5th....

FrogTime · 02/11/2016 07:57

I did the really close to evolution ones yesterday, mainly because I'm impatient!
The nidoqueen would be a good achievement, and you can always switch to growlithe afterwards Smile

FrogTime · 02/11/2016 07:58

The 5th?!?!

LongtimeLurkerNowPokemonHunter · 02/11/2016 08:03

The fifth would be great. But I would regret the two hour walks if I had longer!! It's still on here, Cubone appeared in my bedroom first thing

BolivarAtasco · 02/11/2016 08:06

I'm still seeing gastleys and cubones everywhere too.

I managed to get enough candy from buddying my dratini to evolve it into a dragonair. Just need to get another dratini now. Am now buddying my eggsecute.

MagikarpetRide · 02/11/2016 08:14

Switched out my dragonair on 31st expecting the event to end (and had a rare moment of having it on 0/1.25). Since then I've earned enough candy for my Machamp and am well on the way to my Alakazam. Will try to get my dragonair back in if we've got another few days though.

GeekyWombat · 02/11/2016 08:17

I used a lucky egg last night and evolved loads of things that weren't especially good but I had lots of candies for. Got a great Nidoking though which is now in my top six, along with a second Gyarados - yay for all those 2K eggs!

Very jealous at the Dratini evolutions - I have a good Dratini and a rubbish Dragonair. Could evolve the latter but haven't got any high level dragons so am trying to be patient and nurture the smaller one.

If it runs to the fifth though that would get me a Growlithe and a nice tonne of Dratini candy. Although DH and I have both now cracked and used the micro payments (having sworn we wouldn't) to get extra incubators for the whole period.

I really hope they do something like this over Christmas too. We're level 25/26 and had become a bit bored at how long things were taking... Definitely been more enthusiastic (and doing a lot more walking!) this weekend.

MuddlingMackem · 02/11/2016 08:18

PokemonGo and DoctorTwo, the same glitch happened to me last night with my Lapras. I was looking through my Pokemon and saw it there, thought that's really odd I've only ever seen those in a gym. Closed that screen and got an egg Oh! screen. Hatched the egg and lo and behold, the Lapras I"d just seen in my list. Glad to know it's happened to others.

Oh, and my avatar has managed to walk 0.5km for my buddy candy during breakfast. Which is a first for me, never known my avatar to do that much wandering. Not complaining mind. Grin

Natsku · 02/11/2016 08:25

Its still on for me. Hatched my first Grimer today with 42 candies so only 8 off evolving it so I've buddied it up now and walked a few kilometres this morning.

BolivarAtasco · 02/11/2016 08:26

Does anyone else hear the egg-hatching 'Oh?' in a Nessa from Gavin & Stacy voice?

JellyWitch · 02/11/2016 08:36

FastPokeMap is back up.

The silph road posters don't seem to be able to agree on when the event might end. Glad I put another 10k egg on yesterday as if it runs through lunch that's another chance to get a pinsir!!! More charmander hunting for me I guess.

LongtimeLurkerNowPokemonHunter · 02/11/2016 08:59

Got a candy on the way to work. And a??? Snorlax appeared. Bit of an effort but worth it!

BumWad · 02/11/2016 09:22

Nice Snorlax!
I have switched to Bulbsoar as my buddy as only need another 4 candies to evolve. Going to go out for a walk at lunchtime and try and get some eggs hatched!

PokemonGo · 02/11/2016 09:28

Muddling and Doctor
I know I had my diglett from ages before as I only had two and had renamed them. I watched the one that hatched hatch and it came out with the rename. I feel cheated ConfusedGrin

RueDeWakening · 02/11/2016 10:39

I've hatched all my eggs and nowhere near any pokestops till I drop DD at Brownies later not tempted to spend the whole of Brownies in the church car park hitting their pokestop repeatedly, oh no

Halloween event is still on here, I've buddied all my easy ones that didn't need much more candy - 8 of them! And evolved them all yesterday when I thought it was about to end. Now trying to get some dratini candy before it ends! Need 40 though so will be at it a while.

The school run seems so much more attractive at the moment Grin

MuddlingMackem · 02/11/2016 11:05

Oh, PokemonGo, I would have felt totally cheated in that scenario too. At least there was no more than 30 seconds between for mine.

Haha! RueDeWakening I was thrilled to discover DD's Brownie's church venue is a pokestop. I get to do four visits to it on a Brownies night plus two to another which I can detour home via after drop-off and on the way to pick up. Grin I have to go out this afternoon and I'm thinking of getting one bus which goes the long way round, and past a fair few pokestops, rather than two which go a more direct route. :) Coming back, if I have time, I'll walk rather than bus it for buddy candy and towards hatching my eggs.

LongtimeLurkerNowPokemonHunter · 02/11/2016 11:10

I hope this lasts till I have dragonite! 2.5 km away, damn work!

BumWad · 02/11/2016 12:35

Is it changing?
