I finally got up to Level 24 AND - having totally missed the Buddy thing until this thread - walked a Nidorina for candy to evolve a Nidoqueen at long last. I now have 126 Pokémon in my Pokédex (& 15 bingo lines - am glad I'm not the only person who counts those)
The downside is that I really wasn't well enough to go out yesterday so not only was I dancing badly in class (I actually skipped floor work to drink some juice in case my blood sugars were dropping... I couldn't be bothered to actually check [I'm not diabetic, I hasten to add, just have a ridiculous body that sometimes thinks a blood glucose of around 1 is perfectly appropriate]) I got to feeling so grim I had to leave early. (Turns out my teacher was going to tell me I had to stop dancing anyway...)
THIS NEXT BIT MENTIONS BEING SICK. NOT IN HEAPS OF DETAIL OR ANYTHING, BUT I APPRECIATE PEOPLE MIGHT NOT WANT TO READ...
And then after a while squinched up in the changing room & taking ages to change I finally threw up everything I'd had to eat - & most of what I'd had to drink - up to that point in the day. I know that eating disorders are rife in ballet world, but if I heard someone being that sick I'd not ignore it: if it's someone purging they'll just tell you they have a migraine/hangover/food poisoning/stomach bug/food intolerance. If someone is wildly tachcardic from projectile vomiting (& as well as being sheet white, in visible distress because they've not been able to clean the cubicle not themselves very well).
HAVE SHUT UP ABOUT THAT NOW...
Having to get downstairs to commonroom & through people there for auditions & then up to reception & explain... blah. And my lovely ballet teacher worries about me when I'm extra!ill & she felt bad because she wanted to stay with me but had meetings at the school. Am just hoping she doesn't check with reception that I took a cab to the station as she said I was to, because I walked. Partly for the fresh air, partly for the Pokémon
Am hoping it was just an instance of my body generally being ridiculous & wanting a new anti-emetic patch (I am A Special Zebra, I have patches that in the UK are only given to people during chemo: there had to be Meetings & everything...).
Was still poorly enough last night that I fell asleep with the hall & landing lights on as well as my bedroom one. And, um, my hair still in a bun... Definitely no ballet for me today (if I made it to the studios my teacher wouldn't let me dance... & TBH she'd be right...) but I might make it to the park at the top of my road for a bit. Maybe if I'm careful the park just along from the bottom of my road as well. I want to walk my Koffing to get the 3 more candies I need to evolve a Wheezing. (Although for a brittle asthmatic something about that feels a bit wrong...)
Because I've been awake for a while the cats are requesting I furnish them with breakfast, so I shall stop blethering at you all. Whoever asked about Thanksgiving, though, this year it's Thursday the 24th of November
