So! What is everyone doing with their ghastly candies? I have 1067 candies and 12 decent ghastlies (IVs over 55). i was thinking of evolving these 12 then evolving the best ones into gengars. Then leaving some candies spare to power up the best gengars.
Or should I just catch more ghastlies and evolve even more, even the rubbish ones just to get the XP? Then bin most of the haunters?

On Monday I evolved as many Gastlys as I had, transfering the Haunters as I went along. I'm back up to 150 odd candy again now.

I have 0.5km left on a 10k egg. Might have to go out again after my sandwich for a turn around the block!

I just hatched a sodding zubat. I did get awfully excited to get a pidgey earlier today though.

I've evolved everything I can and sent all but the best evolvee's to the grinder. That way I'm sgetting as much double candy as possible.

I managed to get about 250 magicarp candy this morning from a bike ride along the river. I evolved another lovely gyarados with great stats.

FFS, my 10k egg was another bloody pinsir. I want a snorlax or a lapras!

I've evolved all my ghastlies and then got rid of the haunters. Up to 150 candy again and will do the same.

Caught a grimer which is funny as I've just buddied it up so have 42 candies. Trying to decide whether to go back to nidoran (96 candy) or try to see if I can catch one.

Thanks all for the ghastly tips! Need to do a big evolve soon then as have nearly run out of room and dont have enough coins to increase storage.

nutella since nidoran is fairly common where I am I would swap and buddy up something else less common whilst double candie is still on. Also depends if you have a good enough one to evolve. If not, another reason to catch one. I have enough dratini candies to evolve now, but dont have a good enough dratini (highest is CP382, IV60) so I am going to carry on looking for a better one in the knowledge that once I find a good one I have enough candie to evolve it.

I just watched a gym get taken down. it was empty. its now a sky scraper and a level 7 seconds after being taken out.

Yay! All done in the event! Two catches, three transfers and 70km walked. Better than the 410km I thought I needed!

Thanks tumpy I don't have a good nidoran to evolve so really I need 125 candies as I did with dratini. Sticking to grimer for now as already on 45. Might then move to an abra or eggxecute.

So annoyed. Raised a gym from 6 to 7 only for some twat to cash in on my hard work and put their Pokemon before I could do it. This is so rude.

At least I'm in 2 gyms which is nothing compared to some of you but better than nothing.

Phoned the garage and they can't fit me in till tomorrow, so I went to my local town with 4G to stock up on Pokeballs and resisted every Pokemon that appeared, which was difficult as up to 6 were on screen at once. Then a wild Marowk appeared and I thought "oh go on then" and Marowak was caught! So that's no 79 on the Pokedex.

Then I sat in my car, dropped a Lucky Egg (whilst thinnking of Mog) and did a mass evolve hoping to add 5 or 6 to my Pokedex. I got:=

Gengar.
Seaking.
Starmie.
Vaporeon.

Flareon.

I've gone from 2 bingo lines to 6 in one day. Tomorrow whilst my car is being looked at I'm going to go to the cafe up the road for an FEB and get appraisals for all the duplicate evolves and send the also rans to the grinder.

I am double plus chuffed with 13 new Pokemon in one day. :o

I've decided my next egg will be when I get 3 new ones to give me 135. Hopefully within the week depending on how long this event actually lasts!

Bubble stratting is putting in a low cp pokemon in the gym, to and using other lower cp Pokemon to level it up quickly, I think it's something to do with the bubble move being quite slow, so you can hit the defending Pokemon before it has chance to hit the attacker.

Hatched a slowpoke from a 5k egg today, happy as I've never found once decent enough to evolve despite catching quite a few. Now have enough to evolve to slowbro. Also finished up two others to have enough candy to evolve, and will have about 7 new Pokemon next evolve session. Just waiting for everything to get back to normal now, I transferred all my rattas, weedles, caterpie and pidgey's last night for double candy and now need to catch about 12 of each before I can have a lucky egg session.

Finally got my Venusaur today and evolved a gyrados, caught a 10 k egg and buddied a clefairy, only need 5 more candies for a clefable, half way through level 25 , caught 116, seen 129

Does anyone know when the Halloween event will finish?

I really want the Halloween event to finish, Jesus Christ I'm bored. I have got a perfect Gengar though.

Is it just me or does it look like the spawns have changed? No more drowzee, meowth, cubones and gastly round here, it's suddenly changed to squirtle, magnemite, Poliwag and eevee. Still only 0.75km for a bulbasaur candy though.

Yup, within the last half hour all the ghastly have gone but the buddy candy remains.
