Abra Kadabra I love that...

TallulahBetty I've been walking my Abra as I'm aiming for an Alakazam. I had enough for a Kadabra in with my lucky egg evolve last week, but I only have the one Kadabra so need enough for a two stage evolution from one of my remaining Abras. I now have 64 of the 125 I need. Hoping I can get at least one more though tonight before the event ends, maybe two if I walk with the kids to and from their activity rather than busing it.

I thought the event ended already so didn't open the game at all today and stayed home, only to find out it stills going on when I just opened it now to let my person walk a bit, gah!

I'm going a run deliberately. Hope there's signal. Head torch is ready!

I'm on 98.5 candies for my Venusaur but can't go out tonight ! Oh well I guess it will be 5k tomorrow then lol

I just hatched an abra. enough to evolve my kadabra.

Head torch ready, trainers misplaced. Went to the supermarket instead and passed the pier and dratini appeared. App crashed and I was worried but it reappeared when I reopened. Into the single figures of candy needed now!

My person is refusing to run around now like she usually does :(

Lilaclily why don't you walk a Bulbasaur rather than the Venasaur (unless you only have the one)? It's same candies but Bulbasaur gets them with less distance.

I managed to evolve a Gyrados, Ninetails, Wartortle and a Polywrath today (all new!) and moved up to level 25 thanks to all the cubone/meowth/gastly/drowsee evolutions so I'm glad the Halloween event was still going on today

misty sure all the evolutions of the same Base pokemon are the same buddy distance

It's 3km for the base Pokemon (I've not tried with their evolved forms) so slightly less distance for a candy than the 5km the poster above mentioned for her Venosaur (and half that during the Halloween event). I've been collecting lots for my squirtle and charmander.

I'm walking a bulbasaur, will evolve the Ivysaur to get a Venusaur, so it's just 3 km I need ? That's not too bad then

All the evolves are the same, thankfully. Don't evolve midway through a candy or you lose it!

Just hatched my last two eggs for this event... a krabby from a 5k egg and a kabuto, came with enough candy to evolve but not the best rating by the trainer can't decide weather to evolve of wait for another. Haven't ever seen one around though. Up to level 22 finally! Now just planning what to have as my next buddy, voltorb, execute, sandslash or some of the ones that just need one km.

Got to 124 candy and realised it's enough as you get one back for the first evolve so I've moved to grimmer for some last minute walking. I'm on 28 candy for that one so might as well start working on it.

I've read the next event might be thanks giving - does anyone know when that is? What Pokemon will spawn you think??

Well, I opted for walking during the kids' activity, it was too cold to loiter at a Pokestop for half an hour. I got three buddy candies and hatched a 10k egg. The kids are extremely jealous as my egg gave me a 1664CP Lapras! And the hatching, along with the catching and transferring on the walk, took me up to a Level 21. Not bad considering this coming Thursday it will only be three weeks since I started playing. LOL!

That probably explains why I'm now sick of the sight of Gastly, Haunter, Meowth, Drowsee and Hypno despite barely seeing them before the event, this event has been almost half of my total playing time so far. :)

It's 9pm I'm shattered but really really tempted to go for a quickl walk to get my last few eggs hatched and a few more dratini candies. I am being ridiculous aren't i? It's freezing out there

Nah, Bumwad, exercise is good for you. And walking briskly will keep you warm. :)
