The PP meant that when your pokemon is in the gym it will defend the gym by itself without your input. If it gets put out you need to revive it and use potions to heal it.

To get in the gym you need to find a friendly one with a space OR find a friendly one and battle the pokemon in it to raise the prestige far enough to let another in OR find a non friendly gym and defeat it several times (depending on how many pokemon are in it) and once it's prestige is lowered to zero and the enemy pokemon are all out, you can put your own pokemon in and claim it

If you nickname your eevee 'Rainer' before evolving it then you should get a vaporeon if you don't have one of them already. The other nicknames give the following:

Pyro = flareon
Sparky=jolteon

Only works for one of each apparently

Have hatched a Sandshrew, Vulpix, Seel, Nidoran. Can evolve most. Got my second Gyarados. Nearly there with dratini candies too. Also hatched a load of crap (the usual!)

Went out this morning to take back the village gyms. Got home and you've guessed it they had been taken from me!!! So I put DS robbed and went out again in my car I am still holding them. I'm in a total of 6 gyms but my bag is near to empty, I have 81 items! I have been catching everything in sight. Still have a few almost dead Pokemon will try and get some potions tomorrow.

Agree that it seems to be taking a lot more balls to catch them since the Halloween special.

My feet are still killing from those 9 miles with dratini yesterday aiming to get to 70 candies with the event, started with 18 so would be pleased with that! Not sure how that will happen though!

I've been evolving the more exciting ones on the spot and saving Pidgeys and shit for big evolves. Not as patient as I used to be.

i'll just do it then later. 40000xp isnt bad.

According tto the Pidgeycalc site I have 142000 worth to evolve don't know if I have the stamina!

I try very hard to save the new ones for a lucky egg as its double points (so 1000 rather than 500) for the new one on top of the 1000 just for evolving.

I really would like to band all my local team mystic players together to work strategically. I have found two or three on Facebook (in fact one is my neighbour's teenager) - I would look like a total but job if I started messaging people to start a group though wouldn't I! It would just be nice to have a bit of team work out there - we can get to level 9 or 10 but it takes days and that leaves us vulnerable.

jellywitch there's a Facebook page for Instinct in the town I live in. It works really well with different people covering different gyms. If one of our stronghold level 10 gyms is under attack a message goes out on Facebook. Or if someone takes a gym and levels up so there are free spaces again a message is posted for people to come and fill. I think it only works though because I live in a big city. It's great fun though feeling like part of a team! They even had a social get together where they all met in a pub (with pokestop of course) but I didn't go along!

By the way does anyone know when this Halloween event actually ends? Will I still be able to get double candies and extra buddy candies on Tuesday morning? Have been away and unable to play so really want to walk my eggecutor but will be busy a lot of tomorrow with Halloween stuff. Hoping I can fit in a long wAlk Tuesday morning?

I think that might be happening in my area too tumpy & I have to say I hate it - I can see why it's good if you're in that group, but it's crap if you're not & it's now so difficult to get into gyms that we've stopped bothering to try & it's taken a lot of the enjoyment out of playing for my DSs. It must also be crap for casual players so I wish Niantic would do something to stop a particular team having a stronghold for so long!

I think it all stops after tomorrow, so not sure if you'll get double candies on Tuesday.

Weird to be evolving cubones and meowths instead of pidgeys.

It is isn't it queen, I actually have more pidgey candy than pidgeys as I hatched some. I have 73 to evolve, gonna have an evolving session after we've combined trick or treating with a last halloween pokewalk. I'm hoping to notch up enough candy to evolve my Geodude. Happy Halloween everyone!

I don't think I'm going to be well enough to go out today. I'm meant to be upset about the general functional ability business & cardiacWEIRD & All The Rest, I know, but mostly I mind the lack of PokémonGO. Unf.
