Done some pokemon geeking out this morning.

I have two still to get: dragonite and Venosaur.

I have a good Bulbasaur that needs 51 candy to get to Venosaur or a poor ivysaur which needs 27.

Thanks to the event, dragonair needs 35 candy to get to dragonite.

At event pace, I need to walk Bulbasaur 38.25km or catch 7. Tomorrow this increases to 103km and 13 catches.

Dragonair needs 43.75 at event pace, or 5 catches. This increases to 175km or 9 catches tomorrow.

Realistically, I can aim for another 10km today on dragonair which makes me 8 candies closer. I'm also contemplating transferring my only current dragonite too for the second candy. If I do this, I reduce myself to 100km (lots of ifs and buts!).

Pleased that I've reduced the distance so much, just greedy. Glad I focused on dragonair for this and miraculously found Muk as I'm in a much better position than I was to start with!

Funny I've also got more pidgey candy than I can evolve.
Have collected about 60 to evolve and am in two minds on whether to do it tonight to get double candy when transferring out or wait until I have 80.

As for pokedex I have 12 left to collect, 2 of which I am ready to evolve (charizard and weepinbell) so that leaves me 10.

4 I can only hatch or catch - lapras, hitmonlee, tangela and chancey.

6 can be evolved
Alakazan - need 41 candy
Nidoking- need 4
Ivassaur - need 79
Dragonair - need 18
Eggxecute - need 23 (but only have one so would like to catch one more)
Muk- need 22

So the 6 are doable. The 4 seem impossible as all my eggs are so rubbish I'm losing patience.

I can't quite believe I'm doing it but I'm on my way to London to go Pokemon hunting. I'm much too old and sensible but .....double candies and quadruple KM and ...... Charmanders in Green Park. (I hope!) The temptation was too much for me.

I've got my comfy shoes on and I going to hunt those Pokemon down.

I've not been out of the house since Friday as I have had the lurgy. It's bright and sunny and I must be getting better as I'm thinking of putting my boots on and going for a walk, I could do with another couple of pidgeys to match to all this candy.

I'm trying not to think about the walking opportunities I've wasted by being ill during quad candy, I got a day or so in before everything stopped for me so it's better than I would otherwise have had.

Poke it's embarrassing isn't it. I've done the same on sat and the only people I've told is you lot!

If London didn't entail a flight I'd be the same!

So tempted to go to Glasgow tonight but it's a few hours away. I want those Bulbasaurs! Rural living sucks for this!

Wish I was closer to London too!! I levelled up to 33 thanks mainly to Gastly grinding, it took 15 days to do 750000xp so averaged 50000xp per day. Only 1 MILLION to get to level 34

Walked my 1400cp dragonair and evolved him yesterday to make dragonite number 3, he's not quite 3000 though as i've run out of candy. Walking bulbasaur for the last day as they are so hard to find up here and i'd like another Venusaur. Egg hatches have been crap during the event.

I should really do some work today but it's the last day and the sun is shining Looking forward to the return of normal pokemon tomorrow - I don't like change!

I have a hospital appointment on Thursday afternoon so will definitely get to play then: Tommy's is brilliant for Pokémon last time I was seen in the pain management clinic the nurse specialist had to go & look for something in her office - she seemed a bit surprised to return & find me catching a magikarp in the consulting room Cardiology is BRILLIANT because you're right down by the river & close to the gardens as well

I just wish PokémonGO had existed last year when I had to spend ages as an Inpatient. I bet I'd have mustered the courage to leave the ward sooner after my first NJ tube if I could go & catch Pokémon... (Am in fact comforting self with prospect of Pokémon-catching any time another NJ tube gets mentioned... Because I'm a grown-up. Who has never bought things on PokémonGO as a reward for being good at hospital/other medical appointments. No. Because that would be ridiculous. Even through my B12 injections HURT & I have to have them every 2 months & I'm not allowed them in my arms after August's one burst a blood vessel -& my bleeding disorder meant it looked VERY dramatic - & ripped a muscle. Sitting is quite sore due to a lack of padding. Add in the bruising... well let's just say I deserve to be able to hatch ALL the eggs at once...)

Sounds gruelling Zebra :( They should have pokestops with free constant lures on at all hospitals - would definitely take peoples minds off treatment or long boring stays - might increase the blood pressure though when they keep bloody popping out of the balls or poofing! lol - Take care x

My local hospital has a pokestop just out of reach from inside - so annoying!

My local hospital has a message near the children's ward asking people to put lures on the two pokestops nearby in order to give the kids some joy. I think it's a lovely idea.

reddA - it might sound a bit daft, but not only do I not know any different, I was also diagnosed dangerously late, so still get a bit giddy over things like not being in constant pain; and last year they managed to stop me from feeling sick all the time; & I have pretty well-controlled seizures...

Guy's & St Thomas' Trust have free WiFi for patients. GPS goes a bit in Guy's though: I blame the Shard... There are a couple of Pokéstops on the Guy's site IIRC (PokémonGO always seems to be misbehaving when I'm there...) Tommy's is COVERED with them though, & they're quite frequently lured.

I know when PokémonGO first came out children's wards & hospitals were asking people NOT to put lures on nearby Pokéstops: am glad that's changed

Definitely think there should be permalures on all hospital Pokéstops. It would make those times you're stuck in hospital & well enough to be bored so much more bearable...

Im doing dratini now. im not going to get in a frenzy. I'll get a few candies and that will be that

Afternoon!
Managed 3 5km eggs today, mankey and one each nidoran. Got my nidoqueen now just a few short of nidoking.

DD was super irritable in town though so had to cut the walk short, my 10km egg with only 1km left on it! Won't get double candy on it now also a few km off evolving my buddied ekans. If only she fell asleep as planned!!

What time does the event finish? Midnight or tomorrow morning? Going out in the morning so maybe!

Queen I hate you a little right now. I'd give my right arm for the extra dratini candies today! Well, maybe the left as I can't do curveball with the left!
I'm taking the dog a long walk later for candy. She appreciates it!
