demented your pumpkin is amazing! I am very jealous. Sadly where we live now pumpkins get smashed by people, so we haven't bothered carving one. I feel quite sad walking past all these smashed up pumpkins that have taken someone ages to carve.

Took DD out on a Pokewalk today and then did some for myself. Hatched two 2k eggs (for a Pidgey and a Zubat!) and a 10k gave me a second Pinser, but at 1100CP compared to 800CP I'm not complaining at the duplication. :)

Then I did a bus journey into town and back to stock up at Pokestops. LOL!

A 5k egg just hatched a Drowzee

I now have a Raichu in my pokedex because someone in one of the gyms near here has one in there. I've never even seen a Pikachu!

Lots of Halloween Pokemon and a Charmander which was exciting. First I've seen since I picked him as my starter. Seems to be far more Pokemon around?

Hi - never posted in here before but love reading about all your catches! I've had an epic 2 days. I'm level 21 but have made great headway to 22 due to the Halloween special. I have about a million Meowth and Drowsee I'm sick of the sight of them!

I've had 2 10k eggs in the past couple of days too. I hatched an Omanyte and a Scyther from them. I've just been lucky to get out walking a lot - I don't usually. I won't be able to do anything tmoz so I'm considering a lucky egg and a mass evolve tonight. Bit gutted I can't get out (2 small kids) with pikachu while it's only .25 for a candy.

I've never done anything in a gym btw - I have no clue how it works!

I have enough candy to evolve the Omanyte - should I? Not sure I'll ever see another?!

I've walked 25k this wekend but now have a Gyarados and a Slowbro, I'm really enjoying this special event.

On the egg hatch front: weedle, x2 ratatta, x2 caterpie, ekans, x2 oddish, x2 bellsprout, x2 chansey, x3 magikarp, nidoran.

I'm walking a sandshrew and hope to walk my tentacool and ponyta if I don't run out of time.

Edna am also getting close to level 22 and gym naive, have been in a few but so far always lost and left with dead Pokémon- feel like am only playing about 30% of the game by catching and hatching! Still having fun though 😃

Yay hatched a ponyta from one of my 5k eggs today. I have been tempted for ages to have it at my buddy but I had a really low cp one, was my first rarer catch in the game aages ago, but now I have a decent cp one and enough candies to evolve!!

Also hatched an voltorb which brings me 6 candies away from evolving. Not quite as excited by this one. Off into town for a little while tomorrow hopefully I can re-stock on balls as I'm down to 3 and maybe one or two new ones will see. I'm also so close to level 22! Up to 28 candies for dragonair slow, but progress!

I've been including gyms for the last 2-3 weeks and am learning my way! Here's how I understand it for others who are just starting in gyms.

I'm Mystic. Suppose I see a Mystic gym which is level 3. That means there are 3 Mystic Pokémon in it. I can go in and fight one (or more). I'm not actually harming the occupying Pokémon- They return to full health. Mine have to be Revived and healed with Potions. The status of the gym increases, and once it's got up to 4, I can put one of my critters in it. Then I can collect 10 coins from the Shop.

If it's held by another gym, I can fight an occupier and if I win that Pokémon is thrown out - it returns to its owner, in a battered state. The level of the gym goes down by 1. If it goes to 0 the gym goes grey and I can put in a Pokémon to claim it for Mystic. At that point it's very vulnerable and I wish I had a crowd to go out with and establish a real presence!

Right ok. So that first bit you describe - when it gets to level 4 you'll join the 3 that were already in there?

I work right next to a Pokestop so will hopefully get some more eggs tomorrow. Going to leave her walking about tonight to try and get enough candy to evolve my dratini.

I've tried leaving mine on for the night and got zilch. Is there a secret to make it walk? I could really do with making some advances on my dratini. I'm on 106 candy and really need 125 by Tuesday ideally. Any tips?

Yes Edna. I have no idea whose poke they are, but there we are holding the fort together. You have no control over your Pokemon when they are in gyms - they fight automatically. And they don't come home till they're defeated.

I feel like having an evolve session just to see my new ones.

Nutella i sometimes switch off the gps for a bit and then switch it back on. then when it it picks up the gps again the avatar runs around a little.

Wait so I don't fight it just happens? So I just find a gym (of my colour) press fight then bugger off? I have no gyms near me I'd have to travel to one.

Did my mass evolve I'm halfway thru level 22 now. A few new ones; arbok, nidorina, nidorino, golduck, gengar, exeggutor.

I did a third eevee evolve and thought I'd get vaporeon (I have the other 2) but got another flareon. Is there a formula for getting it?
