I haven't found that favourites are picked for gyms. I find that it's the highest CP with very, very, very roughly the right type of Pokemon.

Thanks guys. I'm hoping that they may start to show up again after the Halloween event, I saw quite a few when collecting for the kids so I might get lucky next week. I've also seen a Tentacruel silhouette a couple of times the past few days, so hoping one of those will show up too. :)

I couldnt get one I wanted picked and started unfavouriting loads and they werent selected once I did that.

well I had no option but to do what seems to be the Halloween update. So ghastly, cubone, marowak, haunters, zubats and golbats and meowths endlessly for 3 days. Nothing else- well an odd drowsee.

I am hoping it reverts to normal on Tuesday.

Additional Drowsee are not needed here. That's all we get normally!

Do you not just change the line up that's picked for the gyms? I always seem to have to. I like having a two with a high special attack then one with a high hp knowing my first three will probably take care of the first two/three Pokemon in the gym.

Managed to walk 2km last night without leaving the house found a few spots where she just walks, I've found each update has changed the place in my house that she will walk for some reason. Also decided incubators are the best route to go down, got two 5k eggs cooking hopefully I will get some decent candies inside. My recent 2k eggs were pretty rubbish though, two ratattas, and two zubats, kept saying to myself at least I've got double candies for next evolve session

I usually change the the lineup for gyms. There are a lot of water types around here so I love fighting with my team of volteons. They are high CP but not as high as other Pokemon I have so don't tend to get picked automatically. The are good because they are really quick and even if they are against great big huge snorlax's can dodge big attacks.
I'm it knowledgeable about the pokemon to know the best switches. I need the kids to do that.

Also, is there any truth in the theory that going to a different place will hatch something different? Sick of walking miles and miles to and from work and only ever hatching the same old crap- weedles, rattatas, spearows. Someone told me that if you 'save' the hatching for somewhere you don't usually go, you get different 'Mons - any truth to this?!

talullah apparently its where you get the eggs that decide what's in them, not where you hatch them.

Been kicked out of the two local gyms in the night. Thought I would go for a walk with DS just now but look what is in my bag! 4 Hyper Potions only! There are only 2 local pokestops.

Trip to London zoo has been scrapped as dd has stinking cold which she has given to both of us so we will probably just go to a local park.

I picked up a 10k egg from a church and another one from green park- both yesterday which is unusual. I really hope something decent comes from them. 7 eggs hatched yesterday and only useful stuff was the belsprout. So annoying.

I have nearly cleaned myself out of revives this morning, boosting up two of my gyms a bit to compensate for some attacks this week. I took down a L3 gym too but was kicked out in under 10 mins before I could claim. So I went back to the one I did yesterday - it was L7 again! And its neighbour was L6 (same team). I took them both (my charizards are stars against eggsecutor) - left a 10CP one in each.

I just caught someone in the act battling my gym.

I find it very awkward stumbling across the opposing teams, especially if they were to ever link me to my username. I have taken to leaving some gyms that change hands regularly grey, so that I don't get all the blame and attract retaliation on my gyms!

Meant to mention: I hatched another pinsir (so that's 2 from 10k eggs this event) and then a Hitmonchan (my first). Not great for double candy as it doesn't evolve yet and is useless in gyms but still good for the pokedex.

I hatched my 5th scyther from my last 10k egg. Got another on the go now. Hoping for a snorlax. Or an aerodactyl. Or just something new I suppose.

I levelled up to 27 yesterday without using a lucky egg. This Halloween even has been great though I wish there were more normal Pokemon about. If I can get them by tomorrow I only need two more magikarp for a second gyarados.

I am not going to hit any pokestops until I clear these decks. with 9 egg spaces free I may get a 10k.
