Time of day definitely affects it. I hear that so does humidity.

Confused about gyms. I put one of my Pokemon into a spare slot in a gym this morning. He's still there. The countdown thing is at 9 hours, and given that not many people are going to be out Pokemoning overnight, I will probably still be there when the timer runs to zero.

What happens then? Do I have to put the pokemon back in, or does it just stay until kicked off? How many extra coins do I get? And do I get extra XP?

It'll stay in the gym until kicked out. You claim coins every 21 hours so do that when the timer runs out. You get 10 coins per Pokemon and some stardust too. Not sure about XP?

I've had two in gyms for over 48 hours now and no one can get to them until tomorrow morning now as they are behind a locked gate 5pm-9am.

Got out of work this evening and walked the long way round to Sainsbury's which is near where I'd parked my car. Got a Weedledick and a fucking Pidgey on the way. The reason I went the long way is to put an extra 0.5 km on my eggs (ix5k, 1x10k). Walking from Sainsbo's to the car there was nowt, then right by the car my phone buzzed and OhEmEffingGee! PIKACHU!!! I tapped on the little fellow and hopped up and down excitedly. All the on screen icons disappeared and the game froze. Bastard. I exited and restarted in the vain hope I'd still get Pikachu. Alas, no, but when the game came back on I found Mr Mime waiting for me. Fed him a Razz Berry, switched to a Power Ball and got him first go. CP482, not too shabby for a Level 13 fellow like me. Still, he's not Pikachu.

Luna. After 9 hours you will be able to collect another 10 coins. He stays there until he gets kicked out.

Ah, only another 10? Had hoped for more!! Oh well, first time I've ever managed to stay in for the full 22 hours.

I had an amazing Pokemon day today :) I went for lunch with DSIS by HMS Belfast and walked down the Thames and it was HEAVING with Pokemon. Didn't catch anything new but got enough to evolve a Slowbro, a Butterfree, a Polywag(whirl?) and a Gloom. On my way back home I also won a gym and had my Wheezing in there for a good 4 hours before I was defeated (first time, so exciting!).

Still no ponyta or Pikachu though :(

Oh and I levelled up to 20.

Thank you to whoever it was who suggested putting IV data into their names! I've started using appraisals do to do this, with my own 'system' so i can see at a glance which to keep for future evolution/powering up and who to swap fir candy.
I confess I'm a data nut so this delights me. I'm only level 16 (yay!!) and don't do much except collect but loving it.

I'm getting masses of Paras again, which is strange as I haven't seen one for a few weeks.

Yesterday I had an Electabuzz spawn right in front of me. I'd never seen even the shadow of one before but the game glitches and he vanished. It's perfectly acceptable to wail 'nooooooo' in the street, right?

I also tried to catch a Pigot but I physically couldn't get the balls far enough to hit him. Anyone else experienced that?

I did catch my first Persist yesterday so I'm now up to 70 caught and 73 seen. Level 18. Only 2 lines on Pokemon bingo though.

I am going to try and hit L23 this weekend if I can catch a lot in London tomorrow lunch and if we have enough to warrant a mass evolution on a lucky egg tomorrow night (inc 5 new ones) I think I should just do it.

I've got 3 holding gyms now in the local area and am wondering if I will have time to take on a 1350CP Snorlax and bump my nearest gym up to make room on the way to school pickup later! I am trying so hard to stop spending real money on this as I am getting through incubators like water.

Hatched a 2k egg yesterday and got a Pikachu with a 486cp my team leader says it's a wonder - yay! But I should really learn not to boast because when I woke up this morning and went to collect my gym coins I found I've been kicked out them all bar one serves me right I suppose. I'm off to the dentist later (bloody hole in my tooth, ouch) so I may take back my gyms to cheer myself up

Seen 104, caught 103. Lost my only kadabra on an app glitch 😔

Hatched a 5k egg today and was a new one for me doduo, in a place where I haven't hatched before so I'm still thinking there's some connection there? Apart from that no new Pokemon popping up which is so frustrating

Went to a park today where there was meant to be an Omanyte nest. Got enough to evolve my Omastar. Plus got the final Koffing I needed for Weezing and got Hitmonchan out an egg. A good result all in!

I just managed to bag myself a Porygon in a car park in town. Am well pleased. Never even heard of that one!

Had a crappy Pokemon day as its poured all day so the walk I was going to go on got cancelled. Caught an eevee and a beedrill for ds in morrisons car park but my eevee jumped out loads of balls then ran away...wee shitebag!!

Porygon was one of the first Pokemon I caught and it was in Subway! Must have been peckish

Have never seen a Porygon! My Electabuzz has survived 36 hours in a gym now, and I took over another gym earlier with a Hypno. Hoping they'll last to claim bonus as it's been pouring here and the kids aren't allowed out :P

Pigeots are like golbats, really hard to hit.

Evolved a beautiful dewgo Ng, last night, and hatched a mankey which only its mother could find beautiful, this morning. It came with loads of candy, so I can get a primape next time I evolve stuff.

Just back from a 5k run and 2 more pikachu. I love each as much as the next
