Re distance travelled, it seems to be more accurate if you're checking in at Pokestops along the way - I guess it knows the position of each stop, so can measure distance between them better. Maybe :o

rue actually that makes sense. I've noticed that the closer I am to the town centre the more accurate it seems, but the further out near my house then the worse it gets. Of course town centre has lots of pokestops and there are barely any further out.

Bubblestrat explained

It's something about a particular move (bubble) being able to take out higher cp Pokemon, so if you have that move on a 10cp Pokemon and beat the higher one, you get shit loads of prestige and also xp. That link explains it much better but it's something like that anyway :) quite clever really.

I hatched a Snorlax from a 10 know egg today - my highest one yet, 1868

Got my first Magmar today - also picked up my first 10k egg in a while. Worth buying an incubator I think.

I think whoever said about schools going back is right, getting coins from 3 different gyms now !

I got my first Grimer today...Was very excited..Hatched a shelter from a 5k egg..

Sick of been on level 21..I have been on it about 2 weeks and only 40 thousand so another 35 thousands to go.

I have also been on Level 21 since God was a boy.

nutella I thought I needed 21k in xp. I actually needed 31k and didn't have enough ground up pidgey to go the whole hog.
Caught up today though and just got level 21
No good catches today except a meowth - hatched a cubone and shellder too, not great but not too disappointing as I needed the candies for marowak and cloister.

Just started walking my 10k egg. 9.8k to go!

My most exciting catches today were two nidorans. Still need lots of candy but they are cute. And now need 3 more gastly so as I can have a gengar.
Oh and pikachu is now on my shoulder. I'm on 14k with him so will carry on collecting!

Frog have you done the egg then? I've no more eggs and next free ones are at level 30 so one years time hence my urge to buy some.

Hatched 2 5k eggs. a Staryu and a Venonat.

I had a bit of a disappointment today. I was nearly up on the 'mon limit so I had a massive clear out yesterday. I shovelled out Polliwags and Magikarp by the dozen. I thought I'd been so careful about it but when I sat down this morning to chose between my two wonderful specimens of karp it turned out that the two I'd kept were average. I know I had at least two breathtaking wonders but I don't now. Ah well, you know what they say, "plenty more fish on the cycle path" (It runs on the path of the former railway and that runs on the path of the former canal)

I now have 426 Magikarp candy but no Magikarp worth all the effort.

Yeah I did the egg nutella luckily I've got one left from the 20 level up but it's my last until level 25.

I'm saving up to get the £8 bag of coins to buy 8 of each eggs and incense with enough left over for an incubator. I'm only on £2.51 in Google credit from surveys though so might be a while .

Decided to wait now until I've got 1200 pidgey candy (or total candy between pidgey weedle and caterpie) which is enouh for 100 evolves. Very much doubt I'll get anywhere near doing that in the 30 minute time frame but I'll do my best!
75k til level 22 - more than likely get there collecting all those commoners!

Evolved an Electabuzz from a 10k egg today, pleased with that, also am only 2 candies away and 3.4km walking away from evolving My LittlePonyta into a beautiful Rapidash.

Re registering km walked, mine has pretty much registered my main walks today into town and out (3k each way or thereabouts) but not so much of my bimbling around town :/

Frog or anyone else - what's your views on incense?
Whenever I used it I just got the usual crap so I'm not bothering.
Used coins to buy extra Pokemon storage and am now tempted to increase bag storage as well. And incubators. After the eggs of course.
Can you see I'm getting carried away with the fact that I've 3 Pokemon in level 9 gyms?

So. I read an article which basically said incense is best used in areas where there are no Pokemon at all, and whilst moving. You get one every 5 mins if you keep still, one every minute if you're moving.

The idea is that if you're somewhere which already spawns Pokemon (in this country likely to be weedles, pidgeys, spearows, Rattata and drowzees) then the incense just increases the spawn rate. If you're somewhere with no Pokemon at all, it will fire 'random' Pokemon at you instead. This seems to correlate with my experience of it too.

Ooh no Icould, how frustrating! I do mine as I go along because I know I'd make a mistake if I did them all at once. But I don't catch anywhere near as many as you by the sound of it so have more time in between to do it. Fingers crossed your next one is a beast.

Me too. I've ground to a halt. Stuck inside with illness but catching whatever pops up. Maybe in a couple of weeks I'll be back at 'em.

Could, I 'favourite' anything I hatch/want to keep, which means you can't transfer it until you unclick the star, after I accidentally transferred one of my battle squad.

No, I had mine favourited, it's not that I accidentally shipped them out, I made a deliberate decision to do it. Alien abduction is the only thing that explains my idiocy. I had two really good ones and it would have been difficult to choose between them, now I don't have to choose at all (just have to keep on walking 2.5 miles in an attempt to catch more fishies)

If it makes you feel better, I used up all my revives (over 36 of them) getting into a gym, got into the gym with 1% battery left and... then forgot to go and claim the coins after I'd got home and charged the phone! When I did check, well, you can guess what had happened in the interim... All that for nothing!
