I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts - I like mini series, so like Bear Brook, Broken Hearts and recently I listened to My Aunt & The Hitman on the Foul Play podcast which was excellent

Any others like this that you would recommend?

I liked….
’smoking Gun’- more about forensics

‘Fairy meadows’- BBC one about a disappearance but lots of involvement of the family

‘the witness in his own words’-a series about a man exploited into crime as a child.

RedHanded- it’s brilliant.

Whaleandsnail6 · 03/04/2023 19:02

I love crime junkies. Its a different case each episode but there is loads of them on spotify.

EdHelpPls · 03/04/2023 19:07

Not a series but a youtuber called That Chapter just started a true crime podcast a few weeks ago.

sofabedsofa · 03/04/2023 19:09

Have you listened to Serial?

pippi123 · 03/04/2023 19:09

Do you like historical ones? Killing Victoria is excellent about attempts on her life.

Spammage · 12/04/2023 00:07

Hi my favorite ones are my favorite murder , all killer no filla and drunk women solving crime, not a serious podcast but they are funny.
If you have a good sense of humour the best that go really deep dive into true crime is the last podcast on the left. They have been going for 10 years so must be doing something right and they will spend weeks sometimes 3/4 episodes doing a subject.

FromEden · 12/04/2023 00:12

Casefile, red-handed, last podcast on the left are my regular go tos but they are episodes on different cases and not a whole series devoted to one case. For a series, west cork, about the Sophie Tuscan du plantier murder was good. Also You Must Remember This is about movie history, but she did a whole series about the Manson murders which was very interesting and in depth and went into Manson's Hollywood connections.

Onesailwait · 12/04/2023 00:19

For something a bit more fun but still true crime I love True crime obsessed

DulciUke · 12/04/2023 00:26

Tenfold More Wicked covers lesser known historical crimes over multiple episodes.

Goodread1 · 12/04/2023 00:29

seymoursmyman · 12/04/2023 00:51

I like Partners in Crime. Ian Stirling and Laura whitmore. Take turns every week telling each other a crime story.
Good stories and very funny too.

TangledBlue · 12/04/2023 03:42

I’m listening to The Trial Of Lucy Letby at the moment, it’s really interesting and informative.

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 12/04/2023 06:07

Serial

SilkySuky · 12/04/2023 06:39

I listen to The Last Podcast on the Left, My Favourite Murder, Behind the Bastards and The Dollop regularly but as PP have said they cover different cases/subjects.
The best single case series I listened to was The Teachers' Pet. Really good crime journalism, and it also covered the trial that in part happened because of the attention the podcast brought to the cold case.

ThreeB · 12/04/2023 06:45

Dateline from NBC

trevthecat · 12/04/2023 06:53

I like casefile but for something a bit different, small town murders is by two comedians. It's American though.

mummy2oneandtwo · 12/04/2023 07:07

Your Own Backyard and also In the Dark especially season 2 about Curtis Flowers.

Bone Valley is also great but the first 2 are the best there is I think.

proppy · 12/04/2023 07:34

I think Casefile is good, respectful to the victims & tells the story well.

Dozycuntlaters · 12/04/2023 07:35

The teachers pet
The teachers trial

Findyourneutralspace · 12/04/2023 13:46

Bed of Lies

Turfwars · 13/04/2023 14:26

Red Handed.
Down the Hill - delphi murders
Hunting Warhead - how a world wide child abuse network was investigated and taken down.

PercysPurseIsEmpty · 13/04/2023 14:30

@Spammage yay, another fan ,SSDGM.

OP My Favourite Murder keeps me going through housework. They do two types of show, one of which is the minisode which is where people write in about their hometown murders around 20 minute an episode, the other much longer episodes feature more in depth details about murders.

Lots of great recommendations on here like They Walk Among Us.
