In terms of housing. I live in the pretty part of a big Scottish city and you can get a 80 square meter 2 bed flat for that here.

Where are you?

I'm in a very poor London borough.
For that sort of money, you will get a 1 bed or possibly 2 if you go down the shared ownership route.

Absolutely nothing at all, south Dublin.

5 bedroom houses with decent gardens. It’s not worth it though. As you’re stuck in the arse end of nowhere with pretty terrible access to shops and healthcare.

A block of apartments in Hull (in an area no one would want to live in 😂)

2 bedroom house/apartment, nice area, commuter village in Cambridgeshire

A modest one bedroom flat with parking. Maybe a balcony if you’re very lucky.

A 2 bed flat in a reasonable area, or a small terraced house in a not very nice neighbourhood. I’m in the south east, right on the coast.

Nothing in the immediate area but that could also be because there aren't that many houses.

3 beds around here can go up to 500k for a reasonable family home

4 bed detached, walking distance to an outstanding secondary.

I love in south East too, you can get 2 bed house here for that. The south East is a pretty big area it's not just next to London.

Leafy surrey, commuter town- nice 2 bed flat

Im in SE in a big village and currently on right move are a 73 sq m end terrace on for £300 k with 3 beds or 2 bed period cottage (56sqm) on for offers over £300k. Only a couple below that though so it’s definitely right at the lower end. If i widened the search beyond my village to maybe 15 mins away there would be more choice available.

I’m in South East London, basically a one or two bedroom flat. Not in my street though, more expensive.

Fairly average 3 bed home, mainly semi detached, a few detached available, Northants

I did do some research and apparently property prices in the area have dropped recently which was what I’d thought.

Well there is a stunning £3.5 million detached house just a couple of streets away from me up for sale.

A 5 bed semi detached townhouse in good condition and still have spare change! South west.
