The best conspiracy theory you’ve heard.

I thought I had managed to curate a lovely instagram algorithm, meadows, wildlife, horses, country gardens all peaceful and calm. I’ve no idea what happened but last night it was rudely interrupted with many videos about project blue beam, holographic images of a spaceship and clones. I mean I’d love to see an actual UFO but these things are batshit.

Now I’m intrigued by conspiracy theories, I can’t believe there are folks who have so much belief in some of them.

thats bad because? although id guess ai tracking systems

Well I presume it's thought to be bad because weapons systems are not only used on foreign invaders. They can be used on any citizen that steps out of line. They could be used to kettle people within areas, or to keep people out that are not desirable for whatever reason is deemed fit by whoever holds power.

it also depends on what type of weapons systems they are and what they can do

There's also a conspiracy theory that the ridiculous CTs like the 'Finland doesn't exist' and 'birds are actually robots that charge by sitting on telegraph wires' ones are deliberately promulgated to distract CTists and discredit the whole idea of CTs to take the heat off the ones that are true.

If I insisted to you that the moon is genuinely made of cheese, the royals are actually reptiles rather than human and David Kelly's death was not a genuine accident, would you deduce from that that I was a wise critical thinker or a looney nutcase?

As well as the CTs that were dismissed in history but were later found and proven to be true, I always find it interesting how many people will instantly dismiss as obviously ridiculous absolutely any theory that goes against what the UK, USA and other western governments tell us - you know, the same ones that have been caught with their pants on fire after swearing blind to a 'truth' multiple times in history; but then will assume that anything that comes officially from the governments of China. Russia, Iran and others must by default be a lie designed to deceive us all!

This is actually well established Soviet propaganda technique

Stranger things is basically the Montauk Project

It was inspired by it and Montauk was even used as its working title

could you tell me with 100% certain that they dont already do that via the media ? after all which big names own the media empires ?

No, I absolutely can't - because it is indeed a relatively few mega-rich 'elite' people and corporations that run it.

My point is that I don't want this to be the case and much prefer democracy; I can't quite tell if you believe it to be a good thing or are just accepting it as inevitable?

The claim that London's ULEZ cameras are actually a weapons system, waiting and ready for use when needed.

That sounds rather extreme to me; but I do believe that a lot of tech is put in place with one stated narrow purpose, but deliberately designed with lots of future capabilities, some of which may not be popular, hence they aren't proudly proclaimed.

Personally, I highly doubt that the idea of smart motorways is purely to monitor traffic flow and breakdowns and open/close lanes in response. They will also be used to closely track individual drivers using ANPR - whether for the purposes of the emergency services rescuing people who've broken down or had an accident, prosecuting drivers for any and every offence (which may not be limited to those offences connected with driving if the idea of China-like 'social credit' comes in).

I'd also be amazed if they haven't already baked in capacity for future wireless charging of (driverless) cars as they travel up and down the motorways and main routes - and knowing whom and how much to charge for it, of course.

I don't know if this counts as a conspiracy, and I realise that the new tech and facilities will often be almost universally welcomed as a good thing; but the reach of the state and the sometimes-startling capabilities will give many ordinary citizens pause for thought - at least until it becomes accepted as mainstream.

But..... it can't be....... because all conspiracy theories and the people who espouse or believe them (including Wikipedia) are bonkers..... right?!?!

Yeah I don't really buy into the ULEZ/weapons system thing - but an interesting conspiracy theory none the less 😄

I've read the exact same thing about Avril Lavigne.

There’s a podcast on BBC Sounds about this 😅

thats the thing whos to say genetic enginnering and human cloning is not more advanced than it is, eg the film the 6th day with arnie in it.

same with the atom bomb, due to the number of people working on it any rumours at the time would have been considered conspiracy etc
