Has anyone actually seen a ghost

Not, caught something out the corner of your eye or felt a presence, I mean actually seen one, spoken to one etc?

im aware this sounds woo. I don’t think I do believe in them, never seen one but ppl I have spoken to say they have.

maybe some ppl are more receptive to these things or maybe it’s a trick of the mind?

just be interested in anyones experience really

There are no ghosts, those who think they've seen them are mistaken

Mother, father, me boyfriend, sister & boyfriend random neighbours and family dog for at least 7 days running - twas many many years ago before mobiles and such - maybe it was mass hysteria!

Well, I don’t know with 100% certainty that there are no ghosts, because you can’t prove a negative. But I am as sure as I can be because (a) every time a ghost sighting has been properly investigated, there turns out to be a perfectly rational explanation-including my personal experiences (b) eminent scientists are sure they don’t exist and (c) over the course of my life things that were frequently reported as supernatural, like orbs and ghost photographs have been explained and are no longer reported.

I am actually a ghost. I just thought I would mention this to clear things up, because there's been a lot of back and forth...

Anyway, please carry on - I've enjoyed reading sightings of some of my colleagues out there.

I’m as big a skeptic as it’s possible to be but stating that ghosts don’t exist is absolutely a claim that needs to be proved.

Claiming there’s no proof they exist - now that’s reasonable.

In a band, we used to practice in the cellar part of a bar/nightclub.
There were four of us, and as I was talking to two of them, I saw a black shadow figure walking through the tables and chairs towards us.

As I noted it, the third person to my left had also seen it, and asked me "Did you see that"?
I said "Yes, what did you see"? And he too said a black shadow person!

No-one had come into the area, and we tried to recreate it by walking off the dancefloor we were on, and standing in front of some lights, but we couldn't.
It was defo a dark shadowy figure, walking through the room and it has been seen since by other people who work there now!

Yes I belive in ghosts, but also try to debunk things like this, but I truly believe this was a ghost, seen by two of us!

The question was “has anyone actually seen a ghost?” Are you saying the only acceptable answer is “yes”?

On our local Crimestoppers programme, the presenters would show a photo of a suspect and ask "have you seen this man? Ring this number." Apparently, someone once phoned up to report that, no, they hadn't seen him. 😆

Yes with a rubbish argument and very dismissive of people who have generally thought they have seen one.

I think I have seen a couple, but one is definite. It was seen by two of us and there was no rational explanation that we could come up with or to debunk it.

We also heard a guthereal laugh through the mic and speakers when we were nowhere near the mic in another part of the club!

No-one else was around but us.

I also passed what I believe to be an old soldier in an old army trenchcoat stood on a verge in the middle of nowhere at 11pm on a Tuesday night near an old airfield.
4 of us in the car saw that. I got the driver to stop and back up so I could see what/who it was, and as we passed back and got "it" in the headlights, we could not see a face on it.

It ignored us totally and carried on with what it was doing, which looked like it was rolling a fag, and my mate got spooked and drove off, before I could talk to my through the window! 🙄

I saw something of similar description. Near to where I grew up there's a village with an old castle that used to be used as a nunnery. It's next to a church with a grave yard but there's a separate area that was used for a nuns graveyard. There were a few of us that used to sit in the church yard of an evening as there was a bench in the grave yard. It's not a big grave yard it just circles the church and its still quite near the road that's lit up so not really creepy or anything. As we were walking out of the grave yard on the path we looked over and there was like a smoke shape coming up from the nuns grave yard forming into a nun shape. Only way I can accurately describe it is like being a clear clear glass jar shaped like a nun filling with smoke from the bottom up. It was adult size and about 12ft away. The nuns grave yard was slightly lower than the path we were on and there is a small wall about waist height on the church side but higher on the otherside. The others with me ran off but I was just stood looking at it for a couple of seconds . It formed fully but it just looked like smoke or mist . There were no features or movement. It just looked like the size and shape of a nun with long robes on. I ran to my friends and we were all " what was that and we were all scared but I wasn't at the time of seeing it as I was more curious. I don't believe in ghosts I believe that it is demons impersonating the dead. I ve not heard of anyone seeing something like smoke before until your experience.

What do you think of the multiverse theory and perhaps 'ghosts' being something to do with some sort of glitch relating to that? This life is a bit strange you must agree and there's a lot of stuff we don't understand properly such as quantum physics. I don't think we can say anything with certainty can we?
