The case of Elisa Lam fascinates me.

vigilantcitizen.com/vigilantreport/mysterious-case-elisa-lam/

The poor girl obviously went through "something" before her death. She was found in the rooftop water tank above a LA hotel. Her clothes were never found, the CCTV is creepy and her family will likely never have the answers :(

What do you make of it? Any mysteries that also fascinate you?

Stealthpolarbear · 23/09/2014 21:38

Also I can't believe this has got as far as it has with no one mentioning Madeleine mccann

bottleofbeer · 23/09/2014 21:40

Wonder what happened to Madeleine McCann?

I'll get me coat.

VivaLeBeaver · 23/09/2014 21:42

Jobenet Ramsey

The Malaysian plane.

HangingBasketCase · 23/09/2014 21:56

The Malaysian airways plane will probably become one the great mysteries of our time. How the hell does a jumbo jet just vanish?!

BabyBellasMumma · 23/09/2014 22:11

Marking place to come back and read tomorrow when I'm not alone in the dark!

TessOfTheFurbyvilles · 23/09/2014 22:22

Whatever happened to Suzy Lamplugh?

That's one mystery I'd like to be solved.

Me too, greyhound

Stealthpolarbear · 23/09/2014 22:56

Oh yes the Malaysian aircraft :( have investigators given up ?

Coumarin · 23/09/2014 22:58

On the Elisa Lam footage she gets into the lift and presses the buttons in an odd way even before the rest of the obviously unusual behaviour which points to a psychotic episode rather than speaking to someone off camera.

Although now sleep walking has been mentioned she is moving in that very peculiar way a sleep walker moves.

Stealthpolarbear · 23/09/2014 23:00

Yesi can't explain why she sort of crouched down and pressed all buttons before it was even clear the lift wasn't working
Surely if she was sleepwalking there must be experts that can verify

jammytoast · 23/09/2014 23:07

So freaked out. No sleep for me tonight.

They are all so sad, and peculiar.

dustarr73 · 24/09/2014 09:27

Yes to Suzy Lamplugh,i was 13 when she went missing.I will always wonder whet happened to her.

HangingBasketCase · 24/09/2014 09:53

Yes to all the missing people who disappeared without trace.

Madeline McCann
Claudia Lawrence
Ben Needham

I sadly believe that Maddie and Claudia are dead, but Ben I believe may be alive somewhere. I hope their families get closure one day.

TessOfTheFurbyvilles · 24/09/2014 10:54

With regards to Suzy Lamplugh, she once worked on the QE2, and did so at the same time as Steve Wright (the serial killer who murdered five women in Ipswich in 2006). Other who worked with them on the ship, confirmed the two did know each other while working aboard the ship. In fact, when Wright later moved to Brixton to run a pub, he and Lamplugh met up regularly.

However, I believe the Met Police said they didn't believe this connection provided a strong line of inquiry, and I'm sure they have their reasons for this.

I always thought it worth noting though, that while the police have said it isn't a main line of inquiry, I don't think they've ever ruled him out completely.

I know there are other lines of interest in the Lamplugh case, and it could just be coincidence that Suzy knew a man who went on to become a serial killer two decades later, but for some reason I've never been able to shake the connection from my mind since first learning about it.

misstiredbuthappy · 24/09/2014 11:31

Ive spent all morning reading and googleing these names, fascinating.

The Johnny Gosch case baffles me. Especially the connections to the white house, theres even pic's thrown in aswell

Whitershadeofpale · 24/09/2014 12:49

Bible John is an intersting case. I believe many now think it was Peter Tobin although I have seen links made to Jimmy Saville.

HangingBasketCase · 24/09/2014 13:03

Also, who was really responsible for the murder of Jill Dando? It had all the hallmarks of a contract killing, yet the local "oddball" (god I hate that term) got sent down for it. I can't believe Barry George was ever convicted. He didn't even look anything like the man who was seen running from the scene.

Definitely something fishy going on there.

DollyDreamboat · 24/09/2014 13:18

Interesting point there Hanging - she went out with Cliff Richard, didn't she? I've always wondered if she was aware of his alleged proclivities, and threatened to blow the whistle....

DollyDreamboat · 24/09/2014 13:19

Hope I don't get deleted for scurrilous gossip Confused

Clawdy · 24/09/2014 14:02

She didn't go out with him, they were good friends. Yes ,that is scurrilous, and ludicrous too.

Stupidhead · 24/09/2014 14:08

Another blatant place marking Smile

DollyDreamboat · 24/09/2014 14:12

Isn't all gossip scurrilous though? Ah well. Each to their own.
