The case of Elisa Lam fascinates me.

vigilantcitizen.com/vigilantreport/mysterious-case-elisa-lam/

The poor girl obviously went through "something" before her death. She was found in the rooftop water tank above a LA hotel. Her clothes were never found, the CCTV is creepy and her family will likely never have the answers :(

What do you make of it? Any mysteries that also fascinate you?

The Johnny Gosch story is really horrible Sad. Don't Google because it involves child abuse and cover ups.

I read a lot of these a few months ago on Digital Spy - most were intriguing but that's the unexplained deaths and disappearances that stick in your mind Sad.

Jennifer Kesse went missing in 2006.

After she disappeared a man drove and parked her car and was captured on cctv. Its the most frustrating cctv I have ever seen. You can see him but he manages to always be slightly obscured by the fence, almost as if he planned it that way!

Here is the cctv

I joined WS during the Casey Anthony case, and also posted on the Joanna/Tia cases. Watching the Colton Turner and Alice Gross sections atm.

The Amy Bradley case facinates me.

Also, I was reading my way through the Amy threads on WS and there was an 'insider' who was posting about her and saying they had a big lead or something and they knew what the situation was/is but couldn't say. Posters were questioning this as it seemed totally against the grain of the previous theories, and the the mods got all heavy and locked the threads down.

???

I do believe that Amy was alive long after she went missing and may still be today.

NoImaginationUsername · 23/09/2014 19:31

I joined because I wanted to read the Amy Bradley threads and couldn't without being a member!

I had to stop reading the Oscar Pistorius threads on WS. I think I made one post in the topic ages ago saying that I believed his account of how he killed Reeva and got shot down in flames and basically accused of being an idiot fan who loved him so much that I couldn't believe him to be guilty.

What I actually said was that his account seemed plausible but still constituted murder in my opinion, but the Agatha Christies and Inspector Poirots on there don't allow any opinions that differ to their own. Hmm

NannyPlumIsMyIdol · 23/09/2014 20:17

Thank you Greyhound - off to have a nosy Flowers

Stealthpolarbear · 23/09/2014 20:27

Why do people assume it was some sort of psychotic episode. It looks to me as though she's talking and being very demonstrative to someone out of shot

I'm on that forum too but not under this name. I was formerly on Insessions too but that suddenly closed just before the Casey Anthony trial finished-for those of a similar mind I can recommend Justicequest. It's a very friendly forum (WS can get a bit agitated sometimes).
Casey Anthony's trial just about finished me off in following cases so closely-I followed it for 3 years and read every single piece of evidence that was released. When the verdict came I honestly thought I had misheard.
That lift video is spooky, poor girl.
I think I shall be clicking on a few of these links on the weekend when I have more time. I love a good mystery!

Blueandwhitelover · 23/09/2014 20:57

and yes, Evereythingisawesome, Lisa Irwin. I remember someone posting on Insessions or Justicequest who claimed to work in the Sherrif's office or have a relative who did who said that it was definitely the mother. I think I was on the fence for a while. There was another little one who disappeared from a mobile home around the same time but I can't remember her name -think she had a relative called Misty who was thought by most to be linked to the crime and then she suddenly married the child's dad and so couldn't give evidence against him. Misty Cummings????

Adayinthelife · 23/09/2014 21:02

Oh wow, this thread is chilling! The Sodden children case is facinating, so so sad that the parents died without any answers. :(

imnottoofussed · 23/09/2014 21:14

Marking place so I can have a read through when I'm pretending to work tomorrow Grin

furcoatbigknickers · 23/09/2014 21:22

Just watched the Elisa Lam video again. I don't think shes talking to someone, her hand movements are very odd.

Also, probably just the quality of recording but the lift looks like has lots of ghosts movement in it

bottleofbeer · 23/09/2014 21:25

I saw that. It looked like a dark shadow in the lift when the doors closed.

furcoatbigknickers · 23/09/2014 21:26

If you watch it again, there is lots of shadows in the lift.

Stealthpolarbear · 23/09/2014 21:35

On the doors when they close? I thought that was a reflection of the light inside the lift on the mirrored doors

Stealthpolarbear · 23/09/2014 21:36

I thought she also looked like she was dancing, which is harder to explain.
But people do have psychotic episodes or delusions. They're not that rare. She could even have been sleepwalking.
