You are most welcome to this school staff support thread to get us through stressful times. It is meant for school staff only – a sort of room of requirement for school staff to let off steam.

Baiters, haters, goaders, and bashers can jog on somewhere else.

If you are NOT staff and just have a general education query please start your own thread.

Do not give the staffroom password to non-staff as it attracts the wrong sort of crowd.

Other requirements for staff room entry include the ability to find the staff room, the ability to find a clean mug in the staff room, knowledge of the photocopier codes, and the ability to sniff out where the booze is stashed - Thirsty Tuesdays, Fizz Fridays now in operation.

We are still waiting advice on chairs and masks but keep the windows open. You don’t have to upload LFT results during the holidays.Do not sit on the chairs and do wear a mask.

Is this the party on the hill we talked of? Would we need guitars?

JanFebAnyMonth · 11/07/2021 13:08

It could be on the almost mythical hill (especially if there were a ruined castle plus tearooms there)!

Yes we wouldn’t want to get MN into the news for the wrong reasons now, would we?!

Where is honey......

Hercisback · 11/07/2021 13:10

Legolanders What is the best age? I'm not up for multiple trips!

I'm up for a meet up, you would find out how odd I am though...

WhenSheWasBad · 11/07/2021 13:15

The best people are odd. No icebreakers though, as my dd would say “so cringe”

CallmeHendricks · 11/07/2021 13:18

Problem is, we have no idea where everyone is based, so to find an approximate middle ground would be tricky. Not to mention a date.

Sorry, am I not showing a can-do attitude?

MrsHamlet · 11/07/2021 13:19

I was really looking forward to "if you were a cake, what would you be and why"....
NOT

noblegiraffe · 11/07/2021 13:22

We found that out earlier when you said you get excited by spreadsheets Wink

Legoland best age probably around 7.

JanFebAnyMonth · 11/07/2021 13:22

Although I wouldn’t want to exclude those being more cautious. Also those who can’t travel for whatever reason. It would need to be doable within a day for most of us, wouldn’t it?

MrsHamlet · 11/07/2021 13:26

I got excited then. I thought noble was suggesting legoland. I love Lego.

Monkeytennis97 · 11/07/2021 13:27

I'm up for a meet upSmile

motherrunner · 11/07/2021 13:27

I am so anti social. you may not like me IRL. Tbf, you may just tolerate me here 😆

CallmeHendricks · 11/07/2021 13:28

I think we switched from legoland to chessington/Thorpe park when the kids were around 7ish? Partly because we'd had a season ticket for LL and were a bit Lego'd out by then.

JanFebAnyMonth · 11/07/2021 13:38

I just created a really long post with lots of bold bits etc about all the locations I could remember. Then somehow deleted it.

But maybe we need to move to WhatsApp or messenger via PMs? (Oo 😧 we find out each others’ actual names .....)

noblegiraffe · 11/07/2021 13:40

I knew Jan knew where everyone lived.

JanFebAnyMonth · 11/07/2021 13:48

Oh, is that not on your spreadsheet noble? Grin

I have also realised that we have no idea where you live.......

FlagsFiend · 11/07/2021 13:54

I've sussed at least one other person must be near(ish) me as they mentioned a fairly niche attraction that they enjoy visiting...

WhenSheWasBad · 11/07/2021 13:56

I might be freshly divorced when we meet.

Dh had nipped back from the shops. I asked him to buy me a treat. He’s come back with sour skittles Sad
I should have been more specific, it’s not like we’ve been together for over 20 years and he knows I love and would possibly kill for chocolate. Angry

RuleWithAWoodenFoot · 11/07/2021 13:56

I have no idea where anyone lives. Once I think I asked (for covid infection rate interest reasons), and even then the answer could have been two possible places, so I completely forgot.

CallmeHendricks · 11/07/2021 13:58

Ok, the elephant in the room: what if one of us turns out to be a serial killer?

CallmeHendricks · 11/07/2021 13:59

Not sure but someone lives near to where Captain Tom lived. That's the extent of my knowledge.

noblegiraffe · 11/07/2021 14:02

Ange! You can’t go round suggesting people might be serial killers! It’s rude.

RigaBalsam · 11/07/2021 14:03

@CallmeHendricks

Ok, the elephant in the room: what if one of us turns out to be a serial killer?
True! We would have to meet in a very public place.

I am sure we are from all over the country though to be fair.

Is Neuro still here? I know they are more Northern than me.
Who is the most southern? Anyone in Scotland?

MrsHerculePoirot · 11/07/2021 14:03

I live within the M25 so can pretty much drive or train to anywhere!

noblegiraffe · 11/07/2021 14:04

mistress is in Scotland and Maddie is in Wales. Are they allowed to come here?

Piggywaspushed · 11/07/2021 14:05

My name is Piggy! What on earth do you mean real names??
