Gosh, that's a very beige photo.

It certainly is @Errim She seems to have gone for the safe option.

All so sordid.

Isn't it? What repulsive people.

As a former sales manager the question I always ask when anyone is trying to sell anything is “Who is your target market? Which demographic are you going to sell xxxxxxxxx to?”

Who in the UK is A Sever aiming to target?
Who would buy her mass produced overpriced tat goods?
I know a lot of people and I don’t know one who would buy anything -even for a royalist like me.
I mean really -who is she wanting to sell to??

Maybe it’s like a shell company to keep the squad happy? The squaddies latch onto the idea their adored one is a business guru of some sort, and she rewards them with ‘limited edition’ sets of crap. It probably costs her serious money to maintain, as she gives a lot away, but it’s worth it to her to inculcate loyalty and provide what she thinks is good PR. (She’s wrong, because she’s deluded if she thinks the unhinged elements of the sussex squad are a good look in the UK and with the FBI.)

Also, where on earth does this idea that Meghan have the only copy of the letter come from?

Well, we still don’t know if the letter has been found by the Met, some media are saying the letter was referenced in a log, but the Met have not located the letter, therefore had to get a copy of the letter from Meghan, for sure there could have been a few copies knocking around, but so far the only confirmed copy of said letter is with Meghan Markle.

The Times report said that the letter 'was initially mislaid'. This was when Meghan had said the date was 2018.
She sent her copy to the police, and later her spokesman confirmed that the police were correct and the date was 2019.

The police did not confirm that the letter was lost.

I never got the impression Doria and Meg share a loving relationship at all. Doria always struck me as very cold.

bluegreygreen · Today 09:47

The DM article upthread is sadly lacking a decent copy-editor.

The date references jump about a bit, but this sentence was the worst:
'a man actively under investigation in at least one countries.'

I think what he was saying is that they had threesomes, presumably with a very young child in the house.

I also read a long article years ago about how Doria and Tom were initially in some sort of 'church' which Meghan was taken to for years. It was associated with a guru of some sort . I have never seen this mentioned again and I have wondered why this has never been mentioned or brought up. I think a lot of things have been whitewashed, hushed up and brushed under the carpet. Why Doris's shell company hasn't been investigated is another mystery. Also all the talk of her being a 'social worker' when I doubt she is anything of the kind.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · Today 09:50

I think (and never thought I'd say this) I'm beginning to understand why MM dumps and moves on. If that is her past no wonder she wants no part of it.

No wonder Meghan is so fucked up. Both her parents using drugs, one probably using prostitutes and the other doing god knows what for years, abandoning her child. Tom's ex wife a nut job also on drugs and not parenting. What an absolute mess.

I really hope that this just might be the straw that breaks the King's back when it comes to these two. All this taking the headlines yet again when the King is on an overseas trip.

Meghan's family are pure trailer park trash and decent vetting at the early stages would have brought all this out before any public wedding took place. Harry should have married if that's what he wanted but at the cost of having his place in the LoS removed and his titles put into abeyance.

What on earth is that abomination. Truly horrifying.
No one, absolutely no one, would eat whatever that is meant to be.

Looks like some dead flies got stuck in the goo.
So appetising.

why on earth were the Markle / Ragland brood not vetted pre wedding? Queen should have said, absolutely marry away but titles, LOS gone.

It's too late now. Any action done will be spun, poor Meg, not her fault her father a CSA etc etc

Not defending Meg but her upbringing certainly explains her behaviour

I would agree. She did have the most amazing opportunity to get past it, though.

The general public almost certainly won't have been told the outcome of any vetting.

Given that can imagine the outrage in some quarters if HMTLQ had removed H's titles and position in the LOS for "reasons".

Harry would just have married her anyway, and claim it was all due to racism.

I’m about to get off the hyperfocus dragon before it flies off with the reins very much not in my hands.

But after much dredging through legalese, various police forces websites in several nations and Interpol

viewed only from what was known from The Letter of Varying Date that was well before Brother Markle’s Sun exclusive could be factored in

A non British national/resident made allegations
Against a non British national/resident
Regarding crimes either in their shared nation (but not shared country of residence)
And/or in a third nation where neither the accuser nor the accused were resident.

What was the minimum a British police force could do ?

They could not create a crime report due to nobody & nothing being British based.

But !
They might have had the right or responsibility to inform (by international registered post ?) the accuser that her allegations were outside of their jurisdiction.

They might have had the right or responsibility to inform her that she should proceed to her local cop shop because they would be able to create a crime report from her knowledge of a crime. And her local cop shop could then have the jurisdiction to proceed from there to involve other jurisdictions.

They might have had the right or responsibility to locate the accuser’s local cop shop with a synopsis (or a copy of the original letter?) and invite them to speak to the accuser to see if she was willing to formalise her allegations with a crime report.

MM had the right, but not the responsibility (cos Brit Cop was in the know and had all knowledge & tools available) to do either of the above as well.

But she may not have had the right (let alone the responsibility) to forward a copy of the letter cos she had no legal standing as the author or authorised recipient of the letter. She would have had to summarise letter received via Bri Cop, from X accusing Y of Z, and ask “please proceed with all and any investigations possible if accuser willing to make a formal crime report”. Calligraphy & Crest may have helped her communication rise more quickly in a USA cop shop in-box

As a British resident she may have had the right to make a crime report at her local Brit Cop shop, but it is not clear to me that the letter would have formed a strong enough basis for a crime report off her bat.

All of the above would have risked leaking from various sources to the Media. Which would be deeply regrettable (from the position of 2019, less so with the hindsight of 2026), but relatively small potatoes if Brit Cop and/or MM thought the allegations had legs and child victims had been, or were, at risk.

The leaking risk would be much bigger potatoes than hypothetical past/present child victims if the content of the letter was believed by all to be a load of bollocks from a bitter ex.

Another concern at that time (pre 2026 bombshell) would be the squandering of limited police resources in various nations by sending them on a multi-nation wild goose chase, to the detriment of real present/past child victims requiring protection/justice in other cases.

Anybody living anywhere, who knows somebody living anywhere, doing anything criminal in any place now needs to be really careful what they say to me. Cos I know exactly what to do if they brandish letters in my face. Probably. Well I feel fairly confident cos Dunning Kruger Effect is real and I’ve read enough to feel terribly well informed, while blissfully unaware of how much more there is to know.

If only I dedicated this much effort into learning my own fecking phone number.
