Meg reportedly ‘hissed’ something at the RPO in the market and boom - game over. Meg stormed out much to everyone’s surprise, and the bodyguard was deflated and later seen crying in a vehicle. All very weird.

At the time I assumed it was to do with M being pregnant but knowing what we now know about her and her behaviour, I can quite believe that M was being a dick.

I'd have thought the last ten years of HaM would have served as a cautionary tale against selling out, but apparently not!
Why does Peter/Peter's wives behave in such a vulgar way? His parents and stepfather behave properly, why can't he?

I didn't like her wedding dress at all. I find it strange when a 46 year old woman wears all that white lace and a lace veil over her face, but that's just me.

The FBI wouldn’t just want to talk to MM about the letter. We are talking about alleged events taking place over MM lifetime - including potentially when TMs was bringing her up and during her adult relationship with him.

I agree, Jeff and at the beginning of this debacle there were a few posters who were incredulous that she could have known about all this for eight years and yet blithely carried on with her various ill fated projects and blatherings about children and their safety online. I think she thought she could just insert herself as some sort of heroine who cut out her father because of the accusations, but then it spectacularly backfired when the time line didn’t work etc. and she is furiously trying to make the facts fit

Yes, Tom Bower has looked into this incident. Apparently all was fairly OK ( well, M was clearly not thrilled to be there and wanting to get through the market quickly) but then representatives of UN Women appeared in their blue t-shirts and M went off in one and ordered her people to get her out of there.

TB speculates that her past difficult relationship with the UN was something to do with it.

Exactly smilesy , it was always a matter of time before she overreached with her tales !

Doubt it, but it might still be a pleasant read. The only time I see Hello is at the hairdressers. At that point I’d read a cereal packet and find it interesting. The pictures will be nice, and I expect the content will be harmless.

if anyone is interested, Arthur Edwards was interviewed on The Daily T podcast by Camilla Tominey about his new book. He’s very complimentary about the King, and about pre-Meghan Harry. He tells some lovely stories about them both. It’s quite the palate cleanser.

It's also the fact that she said she knew for so long yet this man was living a free life. It's not like a normal joe soap knowing & not being listened to, this woman is married to the King's son.

You know, I immediately thought of blackmail. There’s so much murky stuff in the Markle world that some people must have been desperate to keep under wraps. I think even the powers that be helped out in the early days; so much about M (eg first wedding pics) were wiped from the internet.

Also, was Meg given the original letter or a copy? What form did this copy take? Did she ever make a digital copy and keep it on a device, like a phone? Did she ever let anyone else have a copy? Did she take a copy of the letter to the US? How was it stored there? How secure are her documents? Who exactly are mentioned in the original, full length letter? Did she bully the RPO and other staff and Met officers into getting her own way with the letter? Did the letter tie in with her feelings of her life being ‘unsurvivable’ at this time, as talked about by her and H in a famous interview? Did she lie to Oprah Winfrey, about this and other things? Did she lie for years in public about the Head of State of the UK? Did she lie about her own father?

They might even want to talk to Harry. I would - separately.

Watched Tom Bower on Tom Sykes, I had never heard before that Doria is bisexual, he said Tomas Markle told him he used to have sex with Doria and her then girlfriend, it seems they were living the Hollywood lifestyle of anything goes. Doria was /is a big marijuana user and also hard drugs. He said Tomas Markle had photos of a naked Doria on the walls of their home, photos he had taken.

It seems so sordid and ugly. Meghan must have guessed why her father was making frequent solo trips to SE Asia, you don’t have to be a genius to figure out why he was going there, even if it wasn’t illegal.

I might be wrong but I seem to recall that M had a strop because there was a group of UN women there . M had wanted to be an Ambassador or something but was only offered a lower role . So M refused to meet them .

I don't know how much Peter Phillips was paid. I doubt it was a huge amount, it's all very anodyne.

@Mondommountain I read something in the last few years, ie after the HAM wedding, about Doria and her current female partner so that bit tracks. Can't comment on the sex and photos element though!
