Oh dear. I guess lessons have at least been learnt from last time not to have it be a wedding exclusive. This seems to mainly be Harriet. Hope they're not living on the Gatcombe estate and are fully independent financially.

Local jam is massive now as well, many don't buy any that is massively produced as there are so many local options. Same with honey. Here in Wales, even if you are going to buy from the supermarket, it's the budget brands or the Welsh brands that sell well. 'Welsh Lady' jam is very popular here. It's the same in Scotland, they buy Scottish jam. In England, yes all the well established giants have cornered the market. Plus Bonne Mamon, I know several households who won't have anything else! We've had their advent calendar a few times. And as someone said upthread, her flavours are bog standard. Presumably only her super fans will pay such prices for value-brand jam. There's probably only a few hundred of said fans, they probably aren't rolling in cash either.

My 11 year is one of those Bonne Mamon advocates, no other jam will do!

Where does this claim that there was a named person in the letter come from? Mystery allegedly named person appears never to have filed a complaint against Thomas Markle herself, though. If there is such a mystery allegedly named person, then Roslyn should have just sent a letter to the authorities in the relevant jurisdiction. It would still be hearsay, anyway.

Also, where on earth does this idea that Meghan have the only copy of the letter come from? There is absolutely no indication that the Met has lost the original. This is another example of how myths are created and take hold online.

I think someone repeated the name on one of these threads, but it is on X, the person subsequently and suddenly made all their SM private. but also, the same person has been supportive of TM, so who knows where the truth lies.

The rumours about Meghan waiting for her father to die to expose CSA allegations have been doing the rounds for a few years, always sounded like bullshit to me, but like the stolen clothes from the photoshoot, turns out it wasn’t total bullshit after all.

Interesting that Meghan also had the letter to hand in The UK, one would think it would be locked away in a safe in Montecito..

Agree, very odd - and very odd the build up from Hello.

Do you think they are testing the waters to see how much interest there would be in a HaM special, to work out how much they would be willing to pay?

It really looks as though they were trying to imply that it was going to be HAM. Maybe just to generate some kind of buzz? Which, I have to say, I'm not sure Harriet would have created quite so much. I'm sure she's lovely but I don't actually know who she is. It rdminds me of a Simpsons episode I saw once, where Marge was reading a Hello-style magazine called "Barely Regal."

Still very glad it wasn't more publicity oxygen for HAM, though.

Using Royal connections to make money again. It's just so tasteless .

Well, we still don’t know if the letter has been found by the Met, some media are saying the letter was referenced in a log, but the Met have not located the letter, therefore had to get a copy of the letter from Meghan, for sure there could have been a few copies knocking around, but so far the only confirmed copy of said letter is with Meghan Markle.

She's loving it, a photoshoot and anodyne comments.

MargaretThursday · Today 07:00

I've thought that TMJ and M were in collusion over the Sun articles.
However another thought occurred to me - what if he found the stuff and tried to blackmail HAM and they refused.
That would also explain why they knew, had the letter to hand etc

If SM is quiet, it will be either because she got something big up her sleeve or she's being paid...

I think the "person named" in the 2019 letter has not come from any source, but more an attempt to make the accusations sound more definite and that they should have been acted on.

Mondommountain · Today 07:08

Imagine if that named person is in negotiations for a big interview, they have gone very quiet, what if it was with Oprah.

RecoIIectionsMayVary · Today 07:08

Why has TMJ come out with it now?

I don't believe he didn't know prior to this year.

Yes, and over the years there's been details of AMW doing that and of course HaM. Hence why I think there'll be little patience for this. Especially referencing Princess Anne and Princess of Wales from private interactions.

You live on your MIL estate and then go spreading news about her, presumably without consent.

I'm delighted it wasn't them either.

Doubt H&M were pleased they were used for free Hello publicity by the speculation Hello caused... the Markles don't like giving the milk away for free

BM make good jam, I like the Christmas flavours.
My lot complain if we buy the St Dalfour jams, no added sugar, just fruit 😂

RecoIIectionsMayVary · Today 07:25

World exclusive is a bit of a push

The raspberry BM is lovely! Haven't tried any of the Christmas flavours but I will pick one up now you mention it.
Aren't they funny, the St Dalfour just isn't the same 😂

The claim comes from a youtube channel with a presenter often featured in Red Top’s youtube shows.
Who had somebody with links to British police on as a guest.
That linked person claimed they had been informed by police insiders that there was a named victim of CSA by Daddy Markle. And proceeded to name the alleged victim.

Despite the cross over between the presenter of the show and the Red Tops, no other media outlet has touched the story with a barge pole. Potentially because they regard it as unlikely. Potentially because it has legal complications attached. Potentially because it is considered very bad form to name victims of CSA even when they are not protect under the law of anonymity for victims of sex crimes. Any of the above might also explain why other “new media” SM channels are also not spreading that claim further.

You have to wonder what on earth Charles is thinking and feeling about all this whilst trying to carry out a tour which is also not without controversy. Harry can go to ground, the King cannot.
They must all really rue the day Harry met Meghan.

This, in letters bigger than the Hollywood sign!

Her marriage to H has been a disaster for the RF and whatever happens between her and H, she is the mother of royal children and will be in the picture to the very crack of doom. And the RF will have to be ultra careful in their dealings with her…while she will be out to cause trouble for them while herself having less and less to lose.

It will always be a PR nightmare of massive proportions.

Well done, Harry! 😳🙁

M’s lawyers have contacted the FBI and asked that written questions be given to M but the FBI want to talk face to face .

They will want to look at body language, expression, tone of voice, any hesitations in answering specific questions, general demeanour, what gets answered and what doesn't....they can't judge that from written answers.

(Fan of police procedurals 😉)

Not really. Someone married to a minor, non titled royal, gets to wear quite nice clothes in a rural setting. Just a flick through piece.
