SM can now cash in, offering her dead mother’s side of the story. Meghan has more or less gifted her that, with the letter. She’s just waiting for the right offer to roll in…

How do we know that Roslyn didn't also send a letter to the US/Mexican/Philippine authorities?

We don't - but none of them reacted either

But TBF - I'm not sure anyone authenticated the original letter - did Roslyn write it?

60000+ repetitive posts from alleged parents with nothing better to do than hurl froth at two private citizens we don’t know? 😬

Hi everyone! It’s moved quickly, thank you for the new threads Your Jeffness, and for the interesting points of view. Just when I thought it can’t get any worse with the lousy PR, are we to be expecting glossy coverage of the story?! It feels like they’re just a step away from merching this situation.

Even if there never is a satisfactory conclusion to the CSA case, given the muddled chain of custody for evidence and Meghan’s father’s poor health, the story will wane after some months / years, like those about race and bullying and mental breakdown. How will they stay on the front pages? Is it possible to have another story that’s bigger and more headline-grabbing than this? And heaven forbid they make a living talking about this for the next 20 years, which means they need new fodder from somewhere (I dread to think where).

It would be in very bad taste to have HaM as spokespersons for victims of CSA. They should not be allowed near any victims… remember the video of M ignoring the mother who lost her child so that she could pose with babies on camera - there’s no category of human she can hold an actual conversation with, unless it’s to talk about herself and her silent suffering. And H would likely be shoehorning mental resilience and his mother’s death into the conversation. A great disservice to those who are genuinely working with and trying to help the victims and families.

Will HaM PR burnout one day?

I reckon Masterchef is the lesser of the evils.

Didn't they get married months ago? Seems strange to only have the feature now. I'd still rather that than Meghan posing trying to look like Tess of the D'urbervilles (she won't have read the book)

😳

It has gone beyond the letter.

Two caches of material.

FBI involved.

I know nothing is proven, but TMSr isn't looking good; and, if he is innocent, the alternative is one helluva conspiracy theory.

The conversation thread was about the contents of the letter, hence my comment.

She's being very tactical which isn't usually in the Markle play book!
Samantha could be the big winner here!

Tommy J definitely has more to come I'm sure & Samantha has gone extremely quiet.. what are the Markles going to expose next!

Perhaps they’ll tell us where Doria was for years. They must have a very idea.

Hello! is apparently published online today at 6am for ‘VIP’ accounts (nope, me neither), so it’ll start to find its way into mainstream media soon after that. If it’s HaM cashing in we’ll soon know.

Hummingbirdz · Today 05:24

You have to wonder what on earth Charles is thinking and feeling about all this whilst trying to carry out a tour which is also not without controversy. Harry can go to ground, the King cannot.
They must all really rue the day Harry met Meghan.

Good point. And - if she did - they didn't consider her allegations credible enough for an investigation, so why would the Met when it had even less to do with them?

By the way, Roslyn's letter wasn't about CSA, it was a general rant against Thomas Markle, with one line of hearsay about girls in 6-7 pages.

A UK branch would be odd - Meghan trying to sell British traditions, that she clearly doesn't understand, to the Brits!

I mean she tried to convince the US that this was a traditional English scone!

What on earth is that abomination. Truly horrifying.
No one, absolutely no one, would eat whatever that is meant to be.

Teenagers saving up their pocket money for one. Just unbelievable .

So devoid from reality.

In the UK, there's (roughly in descending order of prestige) lots of established brands and price ranges - Highgrove, the brands stocked by Fortum and Mason, stuff sold in NT shops, local garden-centre-destination offerings, Lidl.

We'll all be buying either for ourselves or as gifts, from a pool of offerings we know. We might pick a better brand if buying a gift, so as to not look cheap ( although Lidl stollen bites are The Best, and I have no problem gifting them to friends for that reason).

I might try a new product ( just did) if I think the brand deserves it or if I get a recommendation/ try it at a friend's house and like it.

But a new brand that has no good reviews? Nope. If it is one produced by someone as obnoxious as MM, double nope.

Local jam is massive now as well, many don't buy any that is massively produced as there are so many local options. Same with honey. Here in Wales, even if you are going to buy from the supermarket, it's the budget brands or the Welsh brands that sell well. 'Welsh Lady' jam is very popular here. It's the same in Scotland, they buy Scottish jam. In England, yes all the well established giants have cornered the market. Plus Bonne Mamon, I know several households who won't have anything else! We've had their advent calendar a few times. And as someone said upthread, her flavours are bog standard. Presumably only her super fans will pay such prices for value-brand jam. There's probably only a few hundred of said fans, they probably aren't rolling in cash either.

Apparently there was also a person named who he is alleged to have abused.

Don’t know how that would have been outed on SM if the only copy of the letter is with Meghan Markle. But it is out there along with the name of the alleged victim..

Agree, very odd - and very odd the build up from Hello.

Do you think they are testing the waters to see how much interest there would be in a HaM special, to work out how much they would be willing to pay?

Edited

Where does this claim that there was a named person in the letter come from? Mystery allegedly named person appears never to have filed a complaint against Thomas Markle herself, though. If there is such a mystery allegedly named person, then Roslyn should have just sent a letter to the authorities in the relevant jurisdiction. It would still be hearsay, anyway.

Also, where on earth does this idea that Meghan have the only copy of the letter come from? There is absolutely no indication that the Met has lost the original. This is another example of how myths are created and take hold online.

For once, she will have to be totally honest. No blinking and flirting with the FBI. This could be her toughest role yet

I wouldn’t be so sure, she lied in a British court.
