Not posted for a while but still following… I’ve seen on X that it’s Peter Phillips wedding that is being featured in Hello 🤔

Didn't they get married months ago? Seems strange to only have the feature now. I'd still rather that than Meghan posing trying to look like Tess of the D'urbervilles (she won't have read the book)

The thing that bothers me about Meghan not following up with the police about the letter is that surely you’d want it not to be true and to have confirmation that it wasn’t true.

I can understand not tipping off the subject of an investigation so not doing anything for a few months or so but if my Dad was accused of something like that I’d be checking on a fairly regular basis to see what was happening.

If the police decided not to investigate I’d do my own digging. I’d be confronting the accuser and asking for proof. I’d confront my Dad and see if I could detect lying.

And if I was high profile enough that I didn’t want the press catching wind of it I’d hire one of these top private security firms to investigate.

As a former sales manager the question I always ask when anyone is trying to sell anything is “Who is your target market? Which demographic are you going to sell xxxxxxxxx to?”

Who in the UK is A Sever aiming to target?
Who would buy her mass produced overpriced tat goods?
I know a lot of people and I don’t know one who would buy anything -even for a royalist like me.
I mean really -who is she wanting to sell to??

Daisy I have worked in retail marketing myself & you are absolutely correct..

The UK market is saturated with numerous businesses like herself & also there is so many small local businesses with beautiful homemade produce that sell at farmers markets & on local fb pages.
We are British we really enjoy making our own jams so don't want her "spread"..

I don't know who her target market is perhaps wealthy foreigners who will be impressed with the royal link but they still will want quintessential British... maybe that's what she's doing with her new tweed attire...

Exactly I would have totally hired a private detective to have my own proof. She had the contacts & money to do so...

According to Enty , M’s lawyers have contacted the FBI and asked that written questions be given to M but the FBI want to talk face to face .
I know that a lot of people don’t like Blinds but this guy has been pretty accurate over the months .
He has more Blinds about “ the alliterate one” today . I won’t derail but they are on X.

I would not be surprised - she has a rigid need to control the narrative to airbrush out the contradictions.

However - she fails to realise that the FBI are not Oprah or Hello magazine where celebrities can vet a list of questions in advance

Thomas Markle could face ‘full extent of the law’ in Philippines

Not posted for a while but still following… I’ve seen on X that it’s Peter Phillips wedding that is being featured in Hello 🤔

But the wedding took place almost 5 months ago. Is it really worthy of a 16 page spread and a 'big announcement'?

What is As Ever offering that can't be found in any UK supermarket for a fraction the price?

If I wanted to buy royal stuff, I'd probably look at the Highgrove Shop. I like the look of their recycled wool throws and linen tea towels.

Lunde · Yesterday 22:19

I suspect Roslyn Loveless was suggesting to the Met Police that the entire Markle family could potentially be at risk of acting as fixated individuals. Apparently the letter contains a description of each family member.

There had recently been a report that Samantha was on a list held in that department.

But most people in the UK didn't know this unit existed before a few weeks ago - so while it would be understandable if she sent the letter to the Met - what are the chances of a 73 year old woman in New Mexico knowing about it and addressing a letter directly?

Did somebody suggest it to her? Help her write the letter perhaps?

So Meghans letter to Thomas in the Philippines in 2005 says she knows he's an abuser. Why the hell did she not send the letter to the Fipilino authorities. She could have also sent them a copy of the letter.

This looks horrific for her

😂😂. You’re right - she won’t have read the book or maybe even heard of it!

I remember when Madonna had a brief tweedy incarnation as an English country lady. I wonder if M will take to tweed?

Daylesfords jam would be cheaper, 5 pounds.. Meghans spread is 12 dollars. Nowt wrong with Chivers

There are credible allegations of CSA against MM'sdad.

I don't think we yet know that there are credible allegations in the letter; in my view, nothing that is currently in the public domain from the letter appears credible.

I agree with the rest of your post.

It has gone beyond the letter.

Two caches of material.

FBI involved.

I know nothing is proven, but TMSr isn't looking good; and, if he is innocent, the alternative is one helluva conspiracy theory.

This is her problem - her jams are cheap white label produced items that they slap an As Ever label on

Yet she is charging premium prices as though it is small batch or organic for basically Lidl value jam

Contrast with competing UK royal products (I checked prices in June 2026)

  • Meghan - As Ever strawberry spread, factory produced, for profit, sold online - £9 per 215g (very small jar) or £4.19 per 100g
  • Charles - Highgrove Organic Strawberry Jam organic, profits to charity, sold in gift shops, online, Fortnum's etc. £7.95 per 340g standard jar, or £2.34 per 100g
  • William - Waitrose Duchy Organic Strawberry Jam - company now owned by Waitrose but profits to charity, organic, £2.80 per 340g standard jar or 82p per 100g

It's a dreadful look but she'll bounce back. She has the hide of a rhino and I would bet it's HAM and at least one hamlet in that Hello spread

It sounds like Thomas Markle could well be a creep with a liking for young girls - or young looking girls

However the gist of the letter - in the excerpts I've seen - were accusations that he liked young girls and travelled to countries with lower ages of consent - but from a woman who was divorced from him in 1975 when the legal age of consent in the Philippines was 12. So while his actions may have been repulsive they were not necessarily illegal if and when they were committed.

However the USA IIRC is a country that can prosecute sex tourists - however whether a man of 82 with dementia living in residential care will be considered fit by the courts to plead or to be extradited is unclear.

TellMeAnother · Yesterday 22:47

When it is said that Meghan wanted to reveal the allegations 8 years ago but was apparently advised not to, what is meant by "reveal?"
Go straight to the media for a sensational story with no real proof at that time, in return for a hefty payout? Agree with the "not a good idea" advice.
Quietly speak to the relevant authorities to move an investigation along? Yeah, probably a good idea.
The press reports seem to be suggesting that the "keep schtum" advice was a bad thing but not necessarily. Depends on what it was she wanted to do with the information.

Not only that but us brits almost all have a local stately home / castle / National Trust / English Heritage gift shop to browse if we’re so inclined. And actual royal palace gift shops if we want something royal adjacent (sorry - not sorry for the a word). Whatever can as ever, ever do for us?

Don't get this. Basically sounds like she wanted to sell this "reveal" to the highest bidder instead of reporting him to the relevant authorities

In the UK, there's (roughly in descending order of prestige) lots of established brands and price ranges - Highgrove, the brands stocked by Fortum and Mason, stuff sold in NT shops, local garden-centre-destination offerings, Lidl.

We'll all be buying either for ourselves or as gifts, from a pool of offerings we know. We might pick a better brand if buying a gift, so as to not look cheap ( although Lidl stollen bites are The Best, and I have no problem gifting them to friends for that reason).

I might try a new product ( just did) if I think the brand deserves it or if I get a recommendation/ try it at a friend's house and like it.

But a new brand that has no good reviews? Nope. If it is one produced by someone as obnoxious as MM, double nope.

Plus her stuff is on line. No one is going to go online and pay a premium price plus p&p for sloppy jam spread. Maybe she has plans to get it into shops, but again, with outlets like National Trust/stately homes/farmers markets you are looking at small volumes. To sell a lot she needs to be in supermarkets.
Even if she got the jam, and/or maybe wine into supermarkets, they surely aren't going to be selling bookmarks and candles.

AlexandraCarrington · Yesterday 23:05

Even if she got the jam, and/or maybe wine into supermarkets....

But even the Co-op sells decent jam and a good range of wines. Why would any supermarket want to waste shelf space on her stuff?
