Re MasterChef. She wasn't terrible, but she was annoying. She is weird and clunky with children so not sure how it will go. She flirted with the adult contestants so will have to think of something different.
I live about a kilometre away from the MasterChef kitchen. Feels a bit close!
There is talk that they will be here in July, Melbourne's coldest and dreariest month.
If she goes near the Children's Hospital again I will go and protest.

Wasn't there one little girl on MasterChef who she was really unnecessarily harsh on? I seem to remember wincing while watching the clip. I always get the impression that she doesn't like children.

Link Lauren has got it spot on, saying everything we are saying on here, all of this from day one is way too coordinated and she’s using this to try to play the victim and get everyone to forget the past few years, he thinks it’s all about turning her brand around and I agree, I think that’s been her plan all along.

Writing horrible comments saying the children are going to be fucked up and need therapy isn't funny nor a game to play.

So much for leaving the children out of it.

As Jeff said, flattered but not interested. It's interesting that you think I was being horrible rather than sympathetic to two children dragged around behind their ghastly parents.

Anyway, first and last engagement with you.

You're spot on, plus "no titles" for Archie! He was "Master Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor". Those were the days.
Now, it's all desperation for Royal connection because they realized they're nothing without the titles. Titles are everything to them, and marketing the connection to the late Queen and to Diana is pretty much all they have in the absence of talent, creativity, hard work, ability and effort.

After this current scenario, and on top of the cringeworthy visit to Nottingham, their titles will seem increasingly ironic and irrelevant. KC doesn’t need to fall into the trap of removing them - HaM will just become more and more embarrassing as time goes on.

MargaretThursday · Today 07:34

Does the met have a retention policy?
Eg you have to keep financial information fir 7 years.

I woukd expect them to have some sort of policy for how long they normally keep information that they didn't act on.
Would be interesting to know if that is the case, and whether they'd expect it to be destroyed ages ago, only just, ir not yet.

Exactly. All the RF have to do? Carry on as they've done for the last 7 years. The Sussexes will continue to be hoisted by their own petard.

So are we thinking the 2019 letter was given to Meghan, which is why the Met don't have a copy?

Perhaps because she insisted she didn't want it or any copies kept in their files as it was intensely personal, which I can well imagine her doing?

Now 7 years later, she stated she received a letter in 2018 to tie in with the CSA material found in the Philippines, perhaps thinking she can use it as a reason for cutting off her Dad after the wedding, BUT the Met did keep a record of having received a letter and the date?

Hence Meghan reportedly sharing the letter with the Met herself as they couldn't find it but having to backtrack on the year.

We can then assume the letter Meghan has is conveniently undated and we will never know for sure if it was the ACTUAL letter or who wrote it!

Interestingly, here is an interview featuring the ex wife alongside Samantha Markle's teenage daughter from April 2018 (half way down the article). So a month before the wedding. She doesn't have much to say against Thomas Snr. It looks like Meghan's PR machine had definitely got to them by then which was 9 months before the letter!

Oh wow. Isn’t it fascinating reading that article in the cold light of day, today?

I like your thinking on the 2019 letter btw - Meg might not have realised the Met would have logged its ingress into their offices.

It also strikes me, looking at Roslyn’s piece to camera, that she did not in 2018-19 possess the vocabulary used in that letter now attributed to her (based on the parts we have so far seen). Did she have help?

AutumnCrowOnTheUFO · Today 07:53

The Guardian in this piece reckons Meg really is fucking off to Australia in 2027 where Poh can do more of her ecstatic-about-Meghan-being-royalty faces.

Having said that, it reads as though it was written by Meg’s PR. Slow hand clap for Guardian journalist Emma Joyce (no, me neither).

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, to co-host Junior MasterChef Australia: ‘It was an easy yes’

RecoIIectionsMayVary · Today 07:55

How can it be an 'easy yes'

Either drag the kids over or leave them behind - I can't see how either decision is easy

elessar · Today 08:01

I assume this came up on the last thread (I only got about halfway before it ran away from me!) but what really annoyed me last night was the stories I read about Meghan being devastated about the news coming out, taking the kids out of the country to try and escape the news, being in floods of tears trying to come to terms with it etc.

I’ve never heard such shit in my life.

By her own account she’s known this horrific information for 8 years. So what is there to come to terms with??

The media storm around her right now is entirely of her own making because if she’d just kept her mouth shut then there’s no chance it would be anywhere near as big as it is.

And finally it’s another way to make herself the victim in this whole dreadful situation, as well as continuing to feed the media and keep the story going.

I’m sick to the back teeth of the journalists that are peddling their narrative without any critical thought.
In the very best case scenario of this whole rotten mess, Meghan has been selfish and utterly uncaring towards any child or family but her own, because she knew something awful for nearly a decade and did absolutely nothing to try and see if it was being investigated properly.

And if you believe her version of “assuming” it had been investigated, if nothing had happened after that many years, wouldn’t you come to the conclusion maybe there was no evidence of wrongdoing and therefore you were hasty to cut your father off? Rather than double down on the accusations in 2025?

Honestly there’s more holes in the whole thing than a sieve and she’s being let to get away with murder on this by the MSM for the most part who are swallowing the utter nonsense they’re given fed.

(Also it’s half term and the Sussex PR told us weeks ago they were taking the kids to Portugal on holiday so this is a planned holiday not a desperate bid to escape the UK)

Definitely churnalism there (for the poster who mentioned this, the term comes from Nick Davies, former Guardian journo, ironically)

For me it would be hard to leave young DC but I know I'd have been leaving them with their competent, loving dad and in their secure and familiar home. Plus I don't have a fixation on me and my DH being 'salt and pepper who move together' or a worry that his family might get to him in my absence!

I maintain that another move so soon is the last thing those children need. Even though their mother being away is also not ideal.

As we know, the Met gave the letter to the office of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The employees of this office allegedly signed NDA agreements. What happens if one of them has a crisis and shows up at the Met clutching the actual letter which they had not filed. Can they break the NDA?

And if Meghan kept a copy of a letter without the knowledge of the police, her office, and the letter writer, and the letter contained sensitive material about a named other person, and Meghan took this document secretly to the US and back here to a private residence in the Cotswolds storing it in her personal stash: has she broken GDPR / the Data Protection Act? Roslyn’s dead, but the subject Thomas Snr isn’t.

100% agree. Essentially she's weaponising CSA to justify cutting her father off. This all stinks of collusion with her brother. What the end game is I have no idea but she's front and centre in the press again and everyone's talking about her. Not the royal tour or anything else the royals are doing.

Why she went into acting when she's a natural at PR I have no idea.

They probably aren't, at least not many. No doubt they just get her foisted upon them, like the rest of us.

The only thing is her royal title and I'm surprised Australians go for that.

This is utterly bizarre. Why would they give her a copy? Something is really fishy here.

Except if you read the comments, no one believes her. All these YouTube videos with reporters saying poor Meghan and enormous pushback in the comments.

I'm wondering if the investigation will cast doubt on the whole case.
