Neal Sean (who seems to have good industry sources) said in recent Youtube videos that she has been touting for work in the UK as a guest judge on Bake Off or a celebrity guest on Saturday Kitchen - but so far hadn't had any takers.

Or, W&C behave with the dignity and decorum appropriate to their age and status and whatever situation they happen to be in at any time - children's hospice or chat show or state banquet.

When you're in your forties and in a senior position it's no longer appropriate to behave as you did when you were in your twenties in a junior position.

H seems to have never matured beyond his early 20s.

The Met don't need to do anything of the sort. There appear to be no crimes mentioned in the letter so there was nothing for them to notify other law enforcement agencies about.

Special guest would seem to indicate possibly a one episode appearance (2 at most). She isn't cohost, she's trying to distract and make it sound a big deal. Reality is rather different - 10,000 miles for a few days filming. Not the grand relaunch she's hoping for, clearly.

The Met cannot chase up every vague and unsubstantiated rumour of crime - especially ones involving foreign citizens, living in second countries and perhaps committing crimes in third countries.

In fact at the time this letter appeared - 2018/9 - the Met were severely criticised for pursuing vague and unsubstantiated rumours in the Westminster Paedophile Ring debacle.

AFAIK we cannot even substantiate that this letter was written by the ex-wife.

None of us know at this point if it was shared, discussed or actioned within or beyond the Office of H&M from MM solely, to her private secretary, to PH, to KP, BP etc.

That has not been confirmed or denied by either MM or BP.

I absolutely agree with you, as I have said in earlier posts, that MM likely didn’t want any further action at that time and I suggest neither did any other royal official if they knew. It was not in any of their PR interests to raise this externally specifically at that time.

All OK - so why are the expectations of MM different then? I understood that she is at fault for not following up on the no crimes mentioned?

I'm not pointing a finger at Meg for any of that, at least I haven't once it was revealed that Roslyn Loveless was the letter writer and she mentioned some unspecified hearsay in the midst of a character assassination of Thomas Markle Snr.

My only query about Meghan's behaviour is why she cut off all relations with her father on the basis of some malicious hearsay from his embittered ex-wife instead of asking him if it's true. I think most people would confront their parent first rather than immediately believe the worst thing said about them.

To be honest, I couldn't care less about Meghan's relationship with her father or siblings. They are all unsavoury characters and I wouldn't blame her for wanting nothing to do with them. My problem with Meghan here is that, as usual, she's obviously lying and manipulating, trying to rewrite the history of her break with her father, using this incident as an excuse for the estrangement when she had clearly cut him off much earlier. And she is also using this incident to try and habilitate her reputation and attack her detractors and the press, while directly feeding the same press with material.

It's the constant chaos and drama and inaccuracies and accusations and manipulation and portrayal of herself as the great victim who is being wronged by all these nasty people that's the problem. If she just shut up or made brief, rational statements then half her problems would disappear. But she's too much of a narcissist to do that.

So why are we criticising MM for not doing following up over the last 7 years if there was nothing to it?
