When did they commit perjury though ?

@Lunde mentioned this in one of the threads yesterday in relation to the trial she won against the DM, when they published her letter to her Dad.

She made huge play in her evidence on how the behaviour of the press was directly responsible for her estrangement from her dad, and how much anguish that caused her.

Now she's telling the world a different story. The DM might want a rematch.

@Lunde mentioned as a precedent the Lord Archer affair, where he lied on oath. The Jonathan Aitken affair also comes to mind now, too, in this context.

There's that Daily Mail case that Meghan 'won' (£1) that a PP explained very well.
There's also all this timeline obfuscating. Allegedly, she's said she knew her father was a paedophile. If it turns out TMJ planted the evidence (or passed his own material as those of his father) then TMS would be found not guilty, meaning MM possibly commited perjury. BUT I'm not legal and this it prob all depends on court cases rather than just totally destroying someone's reputation on a global scale, using lies.
Allegedly.
ETA - not that any of this stands a chance of going to court for myriad reasons.

I think the time for them to have said that the RF knew about this had passed. If they were going to claim that the RF knew and eg told them to do nothing, they should have said that straight away. Drip feeding that sort of thing doesn’t work. It comes across more as making excuses

It would be like drip feeds on here. "Why didn't you say so to start with? because that completely changes things!"

I get the feeling that if MM had anything that would implicate the palace, she'd have said it and with pleasure.

Making a new life for themselves in Australia would be a great idea but HAM don't do great ideas. Harry won't settle anywhere else (IMO) he thrives on the "good ole Harry" schtick and he wants royal status for his kids. He is determined to have them in the royal fold somehow

Other than trying to fling them over the walls of Windsor Castle he has no route to get them back into the royal fold.

You can forgive people even awful things, given time and space to do so.

But once you have children of your own it is no longer just your own well-being on the line if you defrosting of relationship and they carry on acting as they did before. A relative, even a very close one, who has habitually hurled word bombs at you has to be kept well outside of the perimeters of your life. You can feel for them, have pity for them, even miss them and love them. But the door stays shut because the burden of them cannot be your children’s to carry.

There can be a lot of pressure to change your mind. Much arm twisting within the wider family. A lot of judgmental chuntering from people who have had their ears bent by your “oh woe is me” estranged relation. It all just has to be sucked up as part of your job as a parent to be the drawbridge between The Prodigal and your children’s happy enough home.

So I have finally, finally caught up from several threads ago. I was still contemplating M’s classroom capers in Nottingham, with some horror, when this all blew up.

As other posters have said, whatever the truth re TM senior, he was dumped because, at the time of her wedding, TM, and the rest of the clan didn’t fit her A list aspirations. Whatever she knew, or suspected, in 2018, 2019 and since, her own words and behaviour undermine her current - retrofitted - claims. And that’s abhorrent. She didn’t put the the victims of CSA first, she prioritised MM (and probably cash). As ever.

There have been rumours over the years that M was planning a book about TM when he could no longer answer back. So did she choose to jump earlier, or was it forced upon her?

And isn’t it oh so convenient, that after the disaster of their UK return, that even M can’t spin positively, there is now a job in Australia? And presumably Harry, as her protector, is required to go along. I really would love to know what tales she has told him over the years, and whether, at any level, he is thinking hang on a minute?

I posted this about a year ago about Meghan's need to constantly reinvent herself. For someone who talks a lot about "authenticity" she seems to have no clue who the "authentic Meghan" actually is. Just since she met Harry she adopted multiple new personas some of which conflict with past claims.

She constantly reinvents herself and contradicts earlier narratives.
... and I've probably missed a few

Nature loving Charity activist - She seemed to attract Harry by being the "boho" philanthropist, eco-activist and Diana 2.0. She convinced him that she loved camping trips to Africa and charity work. But that seemed forgotten as soon as the marriage certificate was signed and she never visited Harry's "beloved" Sentebale projects in 7 years or returned to "magical Botswana".

The royal "modernizer" - she was going to whip the RF into 21st century shape through "American" workplace practices, feminist mantras involving washing-up liquid, not following dress codes, ignoring hierarchy and using her royal status to make money - establishing the Sussex Royal website to merch her products. But after 72 appearances and ignoring any advice it all got too much that they took an extended holiday for a couple of months and never returned.

"Just an ordinary couple" - a very brief phase after they "found freedom" where they eschewed titles with "I'm Meghan", "just call me Harry" and we "chose not to have titles for our kids". It seems to have gone out of the window with the circling back to wanting traditional royal status - prince/princess titles for the kids, recent title merching, "don't call me Markle", faux royal overseas tours to Nigeria/Colombia/Australia and sending gifts from HRH Duchess Meghan Sussex". Now the revelations in a news article that she has herself announced as "Meghan, Duchess of Sussex" when she enters empty rooms

Media mogul - Meghan would be the new Oprah by producing and appearing in a whole range of programming and podcasts and becoming a billionaire. The US companies threw $millions at them although there have been few successes. "Meet me at the Lake" needs to be re-named "dead in the water" as it was announced to huge fanfare in 2023 but has no director or cast in 2026. Although I'm a bit disappointed that she didn't make the "Miss Havisham as a feminist icon" drama that was in pre-production a few years ago as it sounded hilarious. According to rumours online - Netflix has turned down the Harry and Meghan vow-renewal TV special that they were offering summer 2026

Tradwife/lady of the manor - was the persona she adopted for WLM where she tries to convince us that she is digging her own veg, making jam and sending the kids to market while hosting gracious garden parties in floaty dresses and making crap, sorry crepe packet mixes with the kids which are smeared with liquid jam and pot-pourri sprinkles.

Female founder & Super Mom - she's a business woman who is selling stuff while being supermom. Although her podcast revealed little actual business knowledge beyond trite platitudes about running her business from her kitchen while packing lunches and doing school runs. She seems to have a very strange stock control system as she never orders enough so her online shop is either sold out in minutes or she has thousands of items that nobody buys. She keeps launching "special collaborations" - jam & flowers/jam and squashed chocs - but nobody seems to be buying

Lifestyle Influencer - recently she seems to have circled back to 2015-6 to sell herself, her lifestyle and her kids on Instagram. Strangely posed curated "lifestyle" photos, merching the clothes she wears to events online. However her foray into "wellness influencing" when the retreat was a flop in Australia and she bailed on her event to watch rugby with Harry instead....

Reconcile with the royals and Cotswold Lifestyle: So with the work offers declining it’s back to royal adjacent fake royal status in the Cotswolds. With the kids packed off to school it’s time for faux royal visits and a bit of Marie Antoinette cosplay at Soho Farmhouse. Of course there are new As Ever products to merch as well.

The constant reinvention must be exhausting ... Harry has pretty much stuck with "I'm a prince - it's what I was born to do" with the exception of the very short "just call me Harry" phase.

However Meghan never addresses the conflicting narratives – she just moves on and hopes we forget what she said previously… The MSM never question her inconsistencies anyway.

Has anyone heard if H&M have actually been to view any suitable properties to purchase since they've returned to the UK?

I know Ian Wace has other properties and no issues with his finances but I would have thought there's a reasonable time limit for bunking down in someone else's property, no doubt rent free.

When they arrived back in the UK there was a lot of speculation about their specific needs (58 bathrooms, tennis court and room for a pony, no cars visible from the windows etc) but, with all the shenanigans that have gone on, I've not heard anything about house searches recently

Could this be because they're all going to Australia?

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · Yesterday 13:04

I felt tired just reading all that.It does back up my opinion that there isn't a real Meghan and that deep down she knows it. Hence all the reinventions. I have to say, though, she does go all in when she decides to, it's just that when it all goes slightly Pete she abandons it and flits off to the next Meghan personality; which makes me think that she'd have done the same if she stayed in the RF; with the same disastrous results.

@elessar "Honestly there’s more holes in the whole thing than a sieve"
I would say there are more holes in the story than Lennon and McCartney would have recognised
"Four thousand holes in Blackburn, Lancashire
And though the holes were rather small,
They had to count them all
Now they know how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall."

I feel for Meghan as I would anyone whose father has been so accused. He has not thus far been arrested let alone convicted. I'm not going to comment on any legal case because I do not know, and am not really interested in the court of public opinion. But I do feel for anyone who has a family member accused. It must be beyond horrible.

I think M is a little unwise to start putting things out for public consumption. A "this is a private family matter" would have done just fine . I think she's made things more complex than they need to be. They are according to BP "akin to private citizens" . This is where being a private citizen works very well , you can treat this horrible mess privately, without people picking holes in possibly contradictory statements.

Starryfifty · Yesterday 10:49

This could easily be resolved. Forensically analysis this letter. If it is written by someone other than the ex Mrs Markle. Who wrote it?

The CSA images can also be examined and easily proved if Tom senior is in these images and if he downloaded abuse images. If he is unfit to face a trial, it's out there that he is indeed a paodophile then he deserves everything that's thrown at him.

However, if it is indeed junior that downloaded these images to stitch his father up, then he should and is fit enough to stand trial. The Sun are in serious trouble if that is his indeed the case

The Sun has helped Junior put his DNA and fingerprints all over every box and piece of the alleged CSA abuse material and have given him an excuse for it being there - 'Junior showed our reported the material'.

The same boxes, incidentally, that were supposed to have originated and been packed in Mexico, but from the visible writing are from the Philippines ...

I think Meghan is a chameleon - she constantly adapts to her surroundings or the themes and narratives she wants to push. But it is not based on true beliefs and values - which is why she often gets caught copying and plagiarising.

Her main beliefs appear more connected to achieving wealth, fame and status.
