This could easily be resolved. Forensically analysis this letter. If it is written by someone other than the ex Mrs Markle. Who wrote it?

The CSA images can also be examined and easily proved if Tom senior is in these images and if he downloaded abuse images. If he is unfit to face a trial, it's out there that he is indeed a paodophile then he deserves everything that's thrown at him.

However, if it is indeed junior that downloaded these images to stitch his father up, then he should and is fit enough to stand trial. The Sun are in serious trouble if that is his indeed the case

What will they do for security there? Will they demand the Australian taxpayers pay.

It might not be a bad move, they are so unpopular here & it has intensified since their return. There is no rehabilitation of their reputation & no part for them in the royal family..

Are they popular in Australia? Did they get security funded at last visit ?

Reverting to the Hello! magazine piece in which “a close friend” said MM’s really, really upset, keeps looking at Lili and crying.

If my 80+ dad was accused, publicly, while dealing with early-stage dementia, of possessing images of CSA, and I had previously harbored suspicions that he had abused little girls (suspicions strong enough to cut off contact with him), my daughter - who I had made sure had never even met him - wouldn’t be the focus of my emotions. I’d be upset, of course, but I’d be upset for my childhood, the lie it all was. I’d be angry at the association he’s dumped me with; I shouldn’t feel shame but I would. I’d be horrified at the digging and delving that’s going to go on. I’d be fed up to the back teeth and utterly disgusted by my half-siblings (but I think I’d have been used to them by now). And of course, in my quiet moments, I’d find it impossible not to think about the victims and what he did to them and what it must be like to be a girl with that heaving man doing whatever he’s accused of doing to me; what lives they must live, what’s happened to them, and all the things we all think about cities such as these.

I have a daughter. She would not enter my mind because she has me to protect her as MM says she did, by cutting off her dad. The thought of associating my DD in Hello! magazine with this filthy, depraved criminality… I just couldn’t. I may privately congratulate myself for keeping my DD away from him, but I wouldn’t bring her into the story as a potential victim of a child rapist. Who does that??

I think this “close friend” was either completely making that bit up, or decided to/was dispatched to spin a victim narrative by the vehicle of Lili, or this is a response to the criticism that her intersections have been all about her and the truth is she just cares about children A cack-handed way of changing PR direction. I’m going to go with friend completely making this up because the other two are too awful.

That’s because you are not a narcissist.

I suspect the “close friend” is Harry and that some of the antics are for his benefit,

Anything that gets the grifters out of the UK is a win in my book, with any luck they will love it so much the move will be permanent

Starryfifty · Yesterday 11:01

Tyler Perry accused of similar. Assume Lili not in contact with him ?

elessar · Yesterday 11:02

That Hello article as well repeats the same initial version that Meghan got the letter in 2018 and that was the reason for cutting TM off, so it doesn’t even have the corrected timeline.

I’ll say again that the “we should all feel sorry for Meghan” is ridiculous. Even if you entirely put aside her own culpability in not following up an accusation she apparently entirely believed seven years ago, she isn’t disliked by the British public for the way she treated her father.

I mean yes she has received criticism for it. But the reason she is disliked, by and large, is her lies and slander about the royal family, unfounded accusations of racism, the reports of her bullying and toxic behaviour towards staff, etc etc.

In the same way that if TM is found to be guilty it doesn’t absolve TM Jr or Samantha Markle of being awful people, it doesn’t absolve Meghan either for bad things that she’s done that are entirely unrelated to it.

I think the names are clear indications of the two different mentalities they had at the time of the children being born.

When A was born they definitely thought they were bigger than the RF, they were going to eclipse them and be global superstars. So they intentionally spurned a royal name. They were sneering and condemning all aspects of Harry's culture and traditions.

By the time L was born the penny was starting to drop that they needed that royal association to have any hope of getting the attention and money they want. What are they without their royal connection?

I agree

Archie was born during the "just call me Harry" years - he even took a train (OK his team booked the entire first class carriage to avoid sitting with randoms)

Lilibet was born during the - "we are Royals" years - Harry was introducing himself as "Prince Harry of Wales" rather than Duke of Sussex (an attempt to get people to see him as Prince of Wales?). Meghan was having herself introduced to empty rooms and private planes and large motorcades were their preferred methods of transport.

Whilst I agree with you, I feel really sorry for the Australians.

First we send them our criminals and now we're glad to be able to hand M over

I would be really surprised if there was a huge amount of support for her there - I thought she had upset a lot of Aussies with the Bondi Beach and Children's Hospital shenanigans. There were a lot of rumours about her behaviour in the various places she stayed on her first trip - throwing a cup of tea at someone and complaining about the size of her suite of rooms IIRC

Security that they have to pay for themselves will be an issue anywhere they live. But the greater the distance (kilometres and passage of time) they put between themselves and All Things Royal, the less they’ll need.

If they insist on continuing to generate the kind of high profile that amplifies their perception of risk, other than a locked hanger waiting for Musk’s Mars Launch, there is no place on the planet where they can curtail security costs to a negligible amount.

Australia and a change in how they manage their profile could offer a fighting chance for a fresh start that doesn’t involved zero limelight & zero income opportunities.

I think they're (the MSM) looking at the Jason Arday situation, iyswim,

And in so doing, turned themselves into CSA cover-up apologists.

Starryfifty · Yesterday 11:17

I don't think a huge criticism was launched at her because of being estranged from her father. That's not unusual. There's so many obnoxious things she and her useless hubby have said / done.

Starryfifty · Yesterday 11:19

Oh they won't settle anywhere else but the UK. They need royal glitter. This will be their push back into RF fold in some way. If not, they are being punished for the sins of her father 🙄

I’m presuming the offer was made and accepted at least weeks if not months before announcement.

If it holds regardless of current shitstorm, which it could given the announcement wasn’t delayed, I don’t think Australia is a bad move for them for the summer, or longer term.

Her as a TV presenter, him being “just Harry” and the kids far from the British Royal orbit. There’s a fair few positives for the whole family in that, especially if it leads to a longer term career/stay. Good compromise on weather between Californian & Britain. Good compromise culturally between California and Britain. Down to earth in a way that neither posh California and posh Britain are.

As a concept it could offer quite a few positives as a solution to keep the children insulated both in the short (and possibly long) term from the Ghosts of Media Headlines Past.

But what about their children? Are they going to them in school there? I they taking them out of school here for a few weeks and then putting them back in?

That's really interesting as I feel the opposite. Whilst they're in the UK, H is one of a small handful of Princes and we have a fair few Dukes & Duchesses. However if they moved to Australia I think he would be the only Prince and I don't think there are any other Dukes & Duchesses there? So there would be a uniqueness about their titles

I may well be wrong about this - it's very difficult to know what H&M's views are on anything

How can RF navigate removing the titles now ? Meg is very much in victim mode and both of them liable to throw RF under the bus. They also knew about allegations etc. it's all a bloody mess

The problem is that they're likely to become disenchanted with Australia at some point too so where would they go then?

They are totally incapable of learning from their mistakes or making a well-thought out strategy and sticking to it

Meghan goes to Australia (if the TV deal is true), Harry and children remain here, after all Harry said he is a stay at home Dad!

Harry and children travel to Australia for the main long summer school break.

Maybe some time away from each other and really allow the children to settle may be the best for all of them.
