Poor Harry. As if his week hasn’t been bad enough he has now had to watch his brother appearing on the best talk show , holding his own, looking comfortable and relaxed, keeping up with the banter, making half decent jokes, telling stories against himself with humour.

Makes Harry’s attempt at tv chatting seem even more uncomfortable.

“Call me William” versus “I am a prince.”

Harry’s a shadow of his former self. In terms of natural character he was always more engaging, entertaining and charming than William. It is a shame it has ended up how it has as the two of them could have forged a great working partnership.

I think William is naturally quite shy. He was quite pink-cheeked a few times last night, despite how well he came across. I suspect that as the older brother and the one who carries the full weight of duty, he’s naturally been a bit more serious over the years. As we’re comparing the two, I would say Harry always had that typical younger brother energy, a bit more mischievous, and that coupled with his relative freedom of being only a “spare” meant that he often came across as more carefree and personable.

I think William has a great sense of humour and we’re only really starting to see that now. Of course the questions and answers were somewhat scripted last night but there were several adhoc comments and William cracked a few one-liners. I think he’s the kind of person who’s just quietly funny rather being a huge personality, and I think that’s ok.

I also think perhaps William has blossomed as he’s matured. You can have all the training and privilege in the world but that doesn’t substitute for how you mature as you get older. I’m 51 now and I’m so different confidence-wise compared to the woman I was when I was 30.

I think Harry does well when he sticks to what he’s good at. Currently, I think he’s caught up in everything that’s happened and doesn’t quite seem to know who he is. I think if he could work out what he wants, what he’s passionate about, and where he sees his future he’d be fantastic. He’s great with people, is warm, and is funny but we haven’t seen much of that side of him for some time.

I absolutely agree it’s a desperate shame how it’s ended up between the two brothers but I think the things Harry said and did have burnt bridges that will be virtually impossible to rebuild.

Catherine, with a C.

Yes most definitely with a C, the lot of them.

I’d argue any appearance of a Windsor is relevant .

Its all PR and we are entitled to comment

Of course you are entitled to comment but you are trying to drag a discussion about whether William pays taxes in to a relatively light hearted thread about his tv appearance. That is stretching at its finest at best and a blatant attempt to derail at worst 😊

Ukisgaslit · 24/10/2026 14:47

I’m not attempting to derail .
I say my piece and get on with my day

I disagree. Tampongate proved the tabloids were willing to put stories over access to the Royals. If they had irrefutable proof William was having an affair, one of them would publish. But that's the point – it's just rumours and no substance.

To the eternal disappointment of the Sussex supporters! But they’ll bring it up to the crack of doom. And why, fgs? I mean, I don’t like HaM but I’d never go on about the rumours regarding their relationship because I’m not interested. That side of their lives is their concern alone, and doesn’t affect me. I only care about their trouble-making around the UK and it’s reputation, and the ocean-going clowns they’ve made of themselves over the last few years.

What's Juvenal got to do with it?

Satire?

When they showed Taylor Swifts selfie of herself with William and the kids, Graham pointed out it was an iconic photo because it was the photo where Taylor first went Instagram official with Travis. William joked he kept trying to edge Travis out of the pic, but Travis wasn’t having it and kept edging back in 😃. I didn’t realise Taylor used that image to launch herself and Travis on her Insta, how cool for them, two future kings and a likely Princess Royal.

I agree that Cate was subdued, I think HR and Robert Irwin are very big personalities and that was a factor. I want to like Hannah more and don't doubt her heart and sincerity, but she's so me me me that it grates after a while. I thought the musical entertainment was dire, she couldn't even lip-synch 😲

Hannah W needs to learn some manners.

When the host asks PW questions, you don't make a joke or jump in and say your bit first.

She constantly came over as trying too hard.

Less is more sometimes.

Lots craft a story though. I didn't know if it was Jack Whitehall or someone else who had the story of doing a giant poo on holiday and a language barrier with a waiter but I've heard that joke countless times before and not from them.

Its designed to be a humorous show.

I thought he was quite engaging and has shown real improvement at this kind of stuff. He doesn’t haven’t his brother’s natural ability for this sort of thing, but with practice and some coaching he can definitely do it.

I may be in a minority but I never preferred Harry. I warm to quieter, more thoughtful people usually. I distrust glibness and extrovert or performative behaviour.

H has his “fun guy, one of the lads” persona well honed but it’s worn very thin now he’s middle—aged. He needs to cultivate sincerity and gravitas if he wants to be taken seriously.

No he is an Irish citizen holding Irish citizenship.

How would British citizenship benefit in any way?

I don't speak for GN, you'd have to ask him.

Regardless, if he wants to bow or curtsy to someone he can.

William was excellent, perfect combination of geeky, self-deprecating, friendly and confident 👍

Two people on that sofa lost a parent in tragic circumstances when they were very young but seem to have have grown up to be well adjusted happy adults, whose loss has inspired them to do good deeds rather than it defining their life in a negative way.

I’m sorry to do a bit of a Hannah W and stick my beak in, but I thought the reference was to Juvenal, the Latin poet and satirist. Was your post mocking or satirical?

Either that or our tedious friend Ruddy Autocorrect has had a classical education!😂
