With her knowledge of all things camera and angles, she needs to get herself a big handbag and fill it full of Pontipines and Wottingers. A bit of skilled arranging and she’s in a mob. She could even get them to cheer.

Ooh. How did that happen?

Sorry. 😳

Well, I’m excited to report that on the Eve of Big Thursday, the Guardian has published an absolutely cracking review article by Lucy Mangan on a wonderful programme on books (yay!) which features Camilla. Further, and this’ll have a certain someone taking to her bed crying while hubby vents at Dave Security while emptying the drinks cupboard, Camilla appears to have been delightful.

Oh for PR like that.

The Book That Changed My Life review – these joyful tales of the power of reading are TV magic

Wonderful, exuberant stories spill out in these honest tales of lives genuinely transformed by literature – while Queen Camilla has an off-with-their-heads moment

I imagine it’ll comprise another captive audience of young people and children having cameras shoved in their faces, Harry ‘pranking’ a child by not shaking hands properly, and some generously proportioned bodyguards shoving people out of the way for no discernible reason while M looks smug and H twists about like he’s on point in the Mekong Delta.

It's going to be Harry getting down with the moves at the recording studio maybe offering a line or two of rap

"Walked to my father, asked for a dime,
He looked at his watch, said "not this time."
Told him I’m struggling, living on less,
He shook his head and said "life is a test."

while Meghan just looks embarrassed and tries to claw him away.

Or they could reenact their twerking ‘baby momma’ video. What’s not to love about that extraordinary performance? I’m sure the youth of Nottingham will be full of admiration and appreciation for a Twerking Masterclass from the young couple.

I suppose Meg could stand by a bus stop again and pretend that the queue of passengers is actually a crowd of people come to see her.

Your name is a thing of beauty 🤣

More of a shitcom really.

More a unique and compelling dissonance of psycho-drama intensity and circus clowns - you couldn’t make it up.

They inadvertently serve up daily entertainment where they are ridiculed world wide for their grandiose and delusional shenanigans.

I watched this - it was wonderful. Full of genuine, ‘authentic’ if you will, enthusiasm from all sorts of people about books and reading. Some of the personal stories were truly touching. Camilla was fab, in her inimitable down to earth but thoughtful way.

It will be a win/win for HAM today re security. Either it will be rent-a-crowd who will be snapped looking happy and delighted to see them back in the UK, or there will be normal punters (on their way to earn a crust through hard work and endeavour) who may boo and hiss if they even recognise them, thereby upping cries for full-time security. The soap opera trundles on.

Nono22972 · Today 07:15

I have no love for Harry and Meghan but the anger in this thread should be directed towards the media.

Lots of celebrities do wonderful charity work, ie, Angelina Jolie.

Yet, with H&M, the media keep covering their work like it's royal engagements/tours and then later complain that they're doing "faux royal work", then stop covering it like they're still working royals.

However, this whole situation also shows that Harry and Meghan court the press as much as the rest of the royal family.

Only difference is Harry courts the same press which he also accuses of endangering his and his family's lives.

Harry or his comms team had leaked a confidential security report prepared by his private American security team to Chris Ship of Itv and Victoria Ward of The Telegraph. Only a fool or a blind stan would believe that the Sussexes don't play media games.

I don't see that as a 'win'. A 'win' for them is getting the level of security they had as working royals and that simply isn't going to happen.

I also doubt their 'engagements' will be very public, certainly not if Meghan is involved. She likes to control things and I think she's nervous about the public reaction to her. I also doubt there would be much in the way of boos. Maybe the odd one, but I just don't think the average person in Nottingham cares about them that much these days.

Angelina works with a small number of organisations which she's been involved with for many years. She seems genuinely knowledgable and interested in what they do, and has formed relationships with the people working at and being helped by those organisations.

By contrast, the Sussexes just turn up at whatever charity serves their PR interests at any given time. They spout some meaningless word salad, arrange for photographers to be there, have staff tell People magazine that they were 'so down to earth' and then the charity will never see or hear from then again. So it's very different.

Their security wouldn’t be the same as WAC as they want to live in a very public way. WAC don’t announce a lot of what they do for security, we know little of where they are when they aren’t doing public visits. I can’t imagine it’s the same for HAM, they won’t live on royal property and want to be seen and tell everyone what they are doing and it would be much more complex and expensive.
not that they’ll get it.

As suspected several minutes of Nottingham visit on the 8am Good Morning Britain news.
Reporter already at the first charity in Nottingham meeting two officials who speak in glowing terms of HaM and how involved they are in the charity.
Zilch, nada, nothing at all of KC visit to Welsh Parliament.
Not surprising but disappointing.

I don’t know if anyone else saw this but MM was out for lunch in London again yesterday, with her hairstylist and the CEO of Sunshine Sachs.

Backgrid for the photos so definitely set up pap shots.

For someone whose husband thinks London is too dangerous for her to be in she certainly seems to be spending of time there.

I will say the outfit looks good - she looks so much better with her hair down, wearing jeans and a blazer with some structure to it.

Meghan Markle isn’t even pretending she doesn’t want to be photographed anymore! 😂 Just a casual lunch at The Park near Kensington Palace with her longtime hairstylist George Northwood, conveniently captured by BACKGRID. Nothing says “private visit”...

@LipglossAndLies Williams cricket mall event didnt even make hesdline news. Infact most of the things he does doesn't. Seems a bit of PR disaster if it isn't making headlines particularly as his role is also about bringing more publicity to organisations.

I can't comment on national newspapers as I didn't see any yesterday but William's cricketing skills and interactions with people on the Mall were certainly the main feature of my (very positive for William) SM feeds. So I would dispute your comments that yesterday was a bit of a 'PR disaster', it depends where you're looking.
