Charles advised Harry and Meghan that if they saw a seal, they should sing to it because the creatures often sing back.

Whales often wave back if you wave to them. Fact.

I think that was the 2nd pregnancy

This is the story of the 1st pregnancy (apologies to anyone who is eating their Sunday lunch)

Charles advised Harry and Meghan that if they saw a seal, they should sing to it because the creatures often sing back.

While walking on the beach, the couple spotted seals. Harry tried singing to them first with no reaction, but when Meghan joined in, numerous seals popped their heads up and responded to her song.

Harry took this as a sign that his wife "really is magic". Excited, he stripped down and jumped into the water to swim near them.

Soon after returning home, Meghan became pregnant with their first child, an outcome Harry playfully attributed in part to the magic of the seals.

Yes, it was this story that prompted my NC back when the book came out 🦭 🎵 🎤

  1. I'm nearly 4 inches shorter than my older sister. I'm now going to channel that into feeling hard done by for our entire lives.
  1. I think KC will only step in significantly post a divorce. I don't see how anything can be resolved with HAM. There are then two options, H sees the error of his ways, realises he's been played, controlled and manipulated by M, turns into a nicer member of the family and in time they start to rebuild trust. I suspect more likely he'll be supported, subject to strict conditions but separated off as per AMW.

I do think that KC, C, W & K will be supportive of the children if that is possible (parent attitudes allowing).

I think they should be provided with a house within about 30 miles of Balmoral.

No, Castle of Mey!
(The seals say Bloody hell, it's her again. Quick lads, scarper, in whatever is the appropriate vernacular for the region.)

I was just going to say Bollocks on that other thread, but someone got in before me.

The midgies up near the Castle of Mey are ferocious.

Thank-you @seasidewalker. You have reminded me to revive my childhood sense of unfairness that my brother had blond hair and big blue eyes and not me. It feels good to be in touch with that immature negativity again.

I too have suffered greatly. My DB had a bigger bedroom and also had a new bicycle as he could cycle to school whereas I could catch a bus

ilovemykindle · 04/10/2026 15:54

At 66 years old I now realise that the reason I'm only 5ft 1 is that I was crammed into the box bedroom.
Older brother and younger brother who shared were 4 inches and 2 inches taller than me but their room was big.
When older brother moved out younger brother got a TV in his room.

Awful. It is amazing you reached adulthood.

I am still smarting for not being allowed out to play when a friend come round because I had to peel the vegetables. My brother could always go out to play and never had to peel vegetables.

If it's true that W will inherit all KC's wealth and assets when he ascends the throne then that's something that KC will have to take into account when trying to decide what or if any provisions should be made for H, A, & L.

If he agrees to a 'simple' monthly allowance of some sort, W could (and probably would) stop it when control of KC's estate falls to him.

If he establishes an irrevocable trust during his lifetime out of his 'personal wealth' then how to word that trust so there is tight control over disbursements AND to be sure M cannot get her mitts on a pence in the event of a divorce. Appoint himself and a few MiGS as trustees. But who would he choose to be the successor trustee over that trust? William? A headache that W probably does NOT want.

It almost might be easier (better?) to bung them a lump sum of cash with a legally binding agreement that they understand that is is all they're ever going to get and to expect nothing else, ever. Let them go their merry way doing stupid things and making foolish decisions. The money will be gone soon enough and they'll sink into oblivion.

I KNEW there was an explanation for me being the shortest. As the only girl I got shoved into the box bedroom and the bros got a bigger bedroom with room to spread their toys out, as well.

We all need to get together to share our dreadful experiences and support each other . . . . .

Or we could write a book and let the whole world know

Camilla does dress well, and looks comfortable as well. I do think she needs a visit to Rigby and Peller though. Her real strength is hats. Even the hugest somehow don't swallow her.

Also Camilla is one of few Royal women who can really carry off the big bling jewels.

Oh we clearly need an outlet for our unresolved trauma, how badly so many of us were treated in our families. It's a wonder any of us are fully functioning adults.

This is really outing but my sister is quite a bit older than me and I was besotted with her and hung on her every word. She spent years telling me that they put the flags out in our town for her birthday because she was special. They didn't put them out for mine as I wasn't special!

Took me years to realise it was Carnival week! 🤣. I feel a book coming on...

If Charles took the trust option, I think the Edinburghs would be best placed to administer it. Proper family but not so close as William and without the sibling issues. Sophie has the measure of Meghan too. And they are a step younger than Charles - Anne is only two years younger.

Yes, I did know that he's provided for them, but I think that's for after his death? Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong. I was referring more to him providing for H and A & L in his lifetime in the event that HAM come to him with their begging bowls.

Such abuse back then!

My dad sent me to bed with no tea because I upset a gallon of creosote over the newly concreted garage floor. What he should have done was praise my curiosity and interest in blokey things.

Meghan's pudding will include shortbread.

I would like to prepare an unelevated (unlike pa's shoes) party tea for Archie and Lilibet. It would include hot dogs, hedgehogs made from sausages and cheese cubes on sticks stick into honeydew melon halves, and a pink blancmange.

Mark Dolan's latest with Charlotte Griffiths reports that Archie and Lily's US school is upset that their friends didn't get the chance to say good-bye. He's talked to contacts in Montecito. It was part of a PR strategy of secrecy so the shock of their arrival in the UK would generate maximum coverage. I feel even more sorry for the Hamlets now than I did last week, whose parents have no idea how to put the needs of their children first.

How it must have stung to realise that while there may have been an element of “shock”, literally no one actually cared.
