That's Hazard all over.

He is 6ft. He's bothered his brother is taller. But he is still tall.

He's not 2nd in LoS anymore. But he's about 65 million places ahead of the rest of us. His dad is still the king.

His bedroom was smaller but it was still in a bloody palace/castle/other regal residence.

He was missing a sausage, but he doesn't have to cook a day in his life if he doesn't want to.

Like honestly, Harry, look on the bright side love.

I have seen similar attitudes with a family member actually - they have benefited from immense financial privilege and family support but they are completely incapable of making sensible financial decisions and calculating trade offs because they can't see past 'I want everything and I shouldn't have to pay anything to get it'. So in the end no sensible decisions are made and they end up losing everything. They are constantly envious of others who have more and are unable to recognise their own privilege. It's a very difficult mindset.

Crucible · 04/10/2026 10:45

Yep. I completely agree. Everything else is just a layer of nonsense. It's aaaallll about the money.

Choux · 04/10/2026 10:45

The four side by side in 2019 plus a side shot to see the heel heights. Curiously M doesn’t look so petite next to H here even accounting for her heels. The pub photos seem to make her look smaller than she seems here.

I would estimate she is 3 inches shorter than C who we are told is… no idea.

It is highly likely that the Wales DC will be tall .Imagine the tantrum if they are taller than A and L .

JoanChitty · 04/10/2026 10:50

A quick google tells me POW is 5ft 9

They'll never come to terms with it. George is only 13 and is already about 5' 10" I would guess.

God almighty, who on earth walks four abreast? They just couldn't bear to be even a step behind the Wales.

I imagine the Wales children are far more attractive as well.
Probably the real reason they don’t show their faces, they can’t compete in what shouldn’t even be a competition.

I’m 5’6” my son is 6’2” and the difference when we are next to each other doesn’t as much as in those photos. Maybe it’s just deceiving. Strange thing to lie about though.

One of her early CVs I saw online had ‘supermodel’ on it, so I suppose she got used to exaggerating her height to get considered for work in that category, and then that stat carried over to later CVs. She compensated for it with the very high heels.

I wonder if H is rebelling against holding her hand tightly 24/7, and that’s why she’s had to ditch the 4-5 inch heels for flat shoes? He seemed very lackadaisical about touching ‘the claw’ in those set-up pub lunch pics, whereas before it was a tight grip and it would have helped her balance.

twosmallaxolotls · 04/10/2026 10:56

It's funny how we saw Lilibet's face when they released a photo of her on her 1st birthday, plus images of her party.
Mind you, that was because it coincided exactly with the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee weekend. Couldn't have her getting all the attention!

Maybe the UK MM is a fake. A double. Like the many Melanias!

Supermodel ? Seriously?

I do feel sorry for A and L who are going to be endlessly compared to the Wales DC .

ShamedBySiri · 04/10/2026 10:59

It wouldn’t surprise me if she left the DC here as well saw them school holidays etc - they are more valuable to her as English sounding RF adjacent Prince and Princess than So Cal fake Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Mothers leaving their children behind is unthinkable to most on Mumsnet, but not so uncommon in other cultures. I work with a lot of Filipinos and it's not at all uncommon for them to seek work overseas whilst leaving their children at home with the Grandparents or an aunt. I also work with someone from Zimbabwe who sent her children abroad to different destinations ahead of her getting visas. One ended up in Canada, another in Australia. I don't think they have all lived together as a family since the children were very small. (She was widowed and took desperate measures). Plenty of children are sent overseas to British boarding schools, and stay over in the holidays, there are companies that organise host families to take them in. As of course happened back in the days of the empire.

Meghan herself has the example of her own mother. In reality, just getting them over to California for the holidays, or half the holidays isn't much different to lots of other divorcees with children in boarding school. Or indeed the situation of W&H when Diana was still alive and separated from Charles.

So I think she will have no problem at all in scooting back to California without the children. She probably won't recognise the reason, but it may actually be a good tactic in terms of the children getting to be included within some Royal private social occasions, much more likely to happen if she's not around.

I think women from the Philippines working as domestics and other service roles in the ME (for example) is a bit different, and is to do with poverty and few chances at home.

So transparent. I watched it the following year, and no-one jockeyed to be next to the Wales like that.

Starryfifty · 03/10/2026 21:18

The thing i always found very odd was H's huge turnabout regarding Catherine. They were always very close and he said she was the sister he never had.

I've always believed, starryfifty, that Meghan will have instinctively loathed a woman with far more class and dignity than she could ever aspire to, and that Harry's been foolish enough to trash his own relationship with Kate to please her

Unfortunately he failed to notice the countless others Meghan's fallen out with and that the common denominator's her, but it's a bit late for that now he's alienated so many and he's a bit stuck

Of course, same for other cultures. Just pointing out it's not as uncommon as Mumsnet would have us think, albeit for different reasons. Marital "bolters" have always incurred disapproval, whereas decisions based on work/economics are more acceptable.

NOT a fan of Kinsey Schofield, but I do love me some Dickie Arbiter. Watching Kinsey interview Dickie in his rainbow tie and Hugo Vickers.

Relative poverty and few chances at home is also M’s life right now.

The trouble is - the title is everything to Meghan. She loves it. I suppose she could still use it after the divorce. One source from the Sandringham Summit claims that Meghan's one clear demand was that they had to keep the titles.

With Meghan, Duchess of Sussex she's already using the style she'd have as a divorced woman, twosmallaxolotls ... in preparation perhaps, to avoid having to change her name and look as if she's downdrading at a future time?
