Two photogs in a rented car? How did they know they were 'international'? Were they wearing some sort of 'national costume' like Lederhosen or Fustanella? Maybe Kimono? Were they shouting out in a foreign language?
Or maybe, the biggest 'tell', were they driving on the right (wrong) side of the road?

I'm afraid I have to doubt this story. It was probably Nigel and Giles parked up the side of the road having a couple cans of cider and shooting the shit. Or no one at all.
