This was at an event this week. But the photo just made me gasp. It looks like the elderly woman is being used as a prop, rather than being treated in a dignified way.

So it’s a reverse of MNs then? What is about the Royals & former royals that attracts such obsessions!

I still think that it was crass and amateurish to allow themselves to be photographed like this.

The lady may have asked if she could have a photo. Her daughter or grandson or whoever may have been standing beside the Reuters photographer snapping away. What were W&C supposed to say? 'No, we won't allow ourselves to be photographed with you. It would be crass.'

Maybe write to James Murray if you think you’re owed a tax refund on their dental work
