Inappropriate photo op for William and catherine

This was at an event this week. But the photo just made me gasp. It looks like the elderly woman is being used as a prop, rather than being treated in a dignified way.

Oh come on. If someone had posted a similarly selected photo of the Sussexes out of others that were flattering, I think there would plenty of other posters calling foul. This is a spectacular own goal (to continue the football metaphor), mainly because it is so obvious an attempt to make the Wales look bad and it has failed

But I will keep utterly silent on this matter for thirty years until I can extract a big enough payday and my reasons for talking now will be pure and open and nothing to do with said payday. Yeah, his face doesn't stretch much. I once wasted maybe 20 minutes of my life looking at pictures of William smiling, and it does always look like a grimace.

Nothing wrong with finding it a bit funny, seen plenty of mu own photos where a few are taken and there is always one that has something odd looking about it.

I appreciate that it is very much the worst of a series of photos; but I still think that it was crass and amateurish to allow themselves to be photographed like this. Haven't they learned from the Caribbean tour with its unfortunate photo images (crowds behind wire fences/colonial style open backed land rover photos) how important it is to avoid pictures like these being taken?

They look as if they are frogmarching her somewhere. And their forced fixed rictus grins.....their teeth scare me.

Funny thread. The second image is where she looks very happy. We all take bad photos. And of course it’s the same woman.

I think in this day of quick fire digital photos, it is pretty much impossible to prevent this sort of thing. But we can interpret a bad photo as just that and not make out it is some sort of hostage situation when that is clearly unlikely 🙄
