@AcrossthePond55 Here in NYC, cricket is being played unofficially in the local parks. My brother watches daily games when he walks his dog. I'm sure HAM could find a cricket league for the kids in LA if he looked.

Only for adults though. H will have to drive a few hours to get Archie in a youth program.

Of course, they could always re-relocate to La Jolla. It's sort of the Montecito of San Diego. Mostly old money though and not many entertainment industry types so I'm sure that wouldn't suit M.

On the Sky News page there is some clarity about the stakeholders:

In a letter to "relevant senior stakeholders across Government, the military and Lord Lieutenancies" the King set out the Sussexes' official status after their return from the US.

I wonder if this is to underline the fact that they cannot expect state funded security. Pure speculation but they might have been trying to set up public appearances and claimed that their security would be provided by the Met 🤷‍♀️

Ah. Could be. A point was clearly made about the charities, wasn't it?
They need to know that H&M aren't getting funding for their private activities.

I’ve just added shit loads of lovely cheese and jelly babies to tomorrows Ocado order.
Let’s do this properly Jeff!

Please say you don't mean for them to be eaten together?!

So a rerun of the first Remembrance Sunday after they'd fucked off and H had been told he couldn't stroll back to lay a wreath with the family. Instead they rocked up to a random commentary in America with wreaths and their own Backgrid photographer in tow.

I believe the palace must have thought that was a possibility. Military patronages are a key part of being a working royal, hence the clarification.

Imagine the shame of being stripped of those titles and having to share a surname with disgraced uncle Andy.

I love that combination..cheese and some jelly babies for dessert...some really nice mature cheddar...ooh now I want cheese

Personally, I'm celebrating with a marmalade sandwich which I've been keeping 'for later' . . . I'm sure it's what HMQEll would have wanted . . .

No, cheese with Peters sourdough crackers which I am obsessed with. I’ve got some Home made quince jelly that would go very nicely with it all if someone wants to bring a nice baguette.
Obvs there is wine, I’ve got too much wine .
THEN you eat the jelly babies.

Nice! But unfortunately you've missed out the edible flowers.

I know the Mountbatten was added to appease Prince Philip (in the 70s?) but it's such a mouthful of a name, whereas Windsor was just lovely. I'd drop the Mountbatten if I was them. Every Tom Dick and Harry is double barrelled now, it's surely posher to be single barrelled..?
And then there's the dreaded uncle...

MidlyConcerned · Today 17:07

Talking about Remembrance Sunday, a Royal British Legion club near where HaM are staying are quite “challenging”, rife with inner village/town local politics and fall outs.

I’d love to be a fly on the wall if PH asks to lay a wreath at their parade.

For those that aren’t aware The RBL acts as the national custodian of Remembrance.

Their titles haven't been stripped; they are just not permitted to use HRH

Wonder if something about the Sussex kids starting school will be accidentally on purpose released on Wednesday too.

They've probably chosen a school to coincide with G's 1st day at Eton.

(Assuming they've not chosen the school we've all wondered about which I believe has already started term)

Seriously, that would absolutely devastate them. The titles are everything to them.
Their fault, though.

A bit late to the party but well done KC for clarifying HAM's position and what excellent timing! Oh to be a fly on the wall 'somewhere in the Cotswolds'.

The really interesting line for me is "recourse to public funds". What is going on that requires BP to essentially say don't spend any public money on H&M without checking with us first?

Because they were booking things and saying "Send the bills to The Palace"?
