True, but (almost) every child at Eton will be extensively tutored before the exam, with the added bonus of two intelligent parents, so Archie will have no advantage.
If course, Archie could turn out to be very academically intelligent, stranger things have happened, but it's less likely to happen for him than for his fellow exam-sitters.

Well having looked further - aircraft spotters or their websites have their uses - an aircraft that fits perfectly with the image in the papers landed at BHX just before midday UK, it's US registered, owned by a bizjet rental.company and it's details are redacted from the tracking sites at the operator's requests.

So what are the odds?

Most of my airline tickets are airport taxes. The pilot and cabin crew would need to be paid as well. Someone to drive their luggage to/from the airport.

This is the Planet 9 XRS jet with the external livery which matches the one pictured by the Telegraph. By day it takes 13 passengers but if you convert seats to 5 beds it sleeps 6 pax. It looks like a nice way to travel overnight!

Thanks...even worse for my reputation I guess I've looked at a tracking site that tends not to play the game with regard to operators wanting redactions and the aircraft came out of Van Nuys airport last night, which as.some will know is a major general aviation/bizjet airport north of Los Angeles.

Edit..now you know why some CEOs are really careful with bizjet travel if they are trying to.hide things like take-over talks.

Like @AutumnCrowFlewOverTheCotswoldsNest I also have zero tolerance for drugs. Harrow unfortunately has a long history of pupils being involved with drugs. I was recently checking out some details relating to the current 12th Duke of Marlborough, previously Jamie Blandford, who is being prosecuted for non-fatal strangulation and coercive control of his ex wife, and noted he was at Harrow at the same time as the equally awful John Hervey, 7th Marquiss of Bristol, who roared through a £35 million fortune, mostly on drugs. I realised from their DOBs they must have been there the same time as a son of family friends who was expelled for drugs offences. He was such a good looking and witty boy, I looked up to him and loved being around when he visited (he was my older sister's great friend), when I last saw him he came to a family Sunday lunch, looked red faced and bloated and struggled to put a sentence together. He died of a drugs overdose not long after.
So yes, I have always been opposed to drugs. But Harrow never got a handle on it, there have been many scandals, culminating in the dreadful, tragic stabbing murder of the daughter of one of the teachers by the son of another of the teachers. That was in 2006. Maybe they finally cleaned up their act since then - I may be biased but I'd steer clear.

Ironically, those aren’t particularly intelligent statements. They’re driven by emotion, not facts or even common sense realisation that it’s not appropriate to be judgmental about the academic ability of a child you know l nothing about except who his parents are.

The pair of them must have had their phones glued to their ears calling various journalists with conflicting stories all to keep them in the headlines, it’s just a game to them and they are probably enjoying making all these Mail journalists in particular look like lying fools.

I wonder if Archie will go down a year? In the US he has just completed grade 1 and it sounds very stressful to adapt to a new country, new education system, "day boarding" and going directly into year 3 thereby missing a year.

I've never commented on the Sussex children but if the reports are true and the boy is 'day boarding' then surely that is a response to the throwaway comment from Prince William that George is day boarding.
But Archie is 7??? That is a very very young age to start as a day boarder. It means you are there basically from breakfast to dinner and come home to sleep. I really wouldn't do that to a 7 year old unless they were doing some extra curriculars in school which meant that the coming and going would be disruptive.

Amusingly I've being watching the Sussex Squad on social media. They are clearly struggling to make sense of these things and the truly terrible PR from the Sussex camp. Even if she was in discussions about The Gentleman it was so badly handled. The constant speculation meant to keep them in the news just makes them look leaky. Some in the Sussex Squad think that the headlines are proof of their popularity and how much the monarchy needs them. That's an interesting re-writing of the truth that not a single venture succeeded in America and now they are coming back to be part of the same institution they publicly derided in an interview and Netflix.
