I think that she believes she can spin an image of the modern family where she is the sole breadwinner - strident ‘founder’ supporting her family single-handedly - even looking for some sympathy or kudos in that whilst PH is the bumbling, lazy SAHD. She does have a work ethic amd PH doesn’t. All commercial enterprises undertaken since they left (except Spare and NF) have been hers.

I don’t believe she will be commercially successful but she wants to be seen to be trying or faking it for her image.

Leaving a California mansion, arriving on a private jet (to a nation and royal family you were so rude and dismissive about) - I can’t fathom what Megan is made of - does she never get imposter syndrome?

Whatever today’s about, M’s going to finally end up doing a ‘Duchess of York/Sussex’ on US daytime television, giving her opinions on other people’s dinners and some crappy books she’s not even read. A few galas each year to raise awareness of Californian rare vole tunnelways and the phenomenological artwork of liminal LA (full security provided by host for the latter). Spending time with her orthodontist. That kind of thing.

One would think that if your PR strategy has led low popularity, you would revise said strategy. But the HaMs are doubling down in trying to PR their way to relevance.

Murdoch and the other media owners are laughing all the way to the bank at the gift that keeps giving.

I don’t think she’ll be apart from them for long. If only for the cynical reason that being the mother of a Prince and Princess is a huge cache. Not as much cache in living mostly in a different continent when they’re young.

I do think their marriage is A Brand as much or more than anything genuine. I do think they may have arrangements and are long-term planning, but IMO right now it’s not in any of their interests for them to be publicly living in different countries.

But with the Royals and especially HAM, I personally wouldn’t say never to anything, so am quite prepared to be wrong!

I would bet a (modest amount of) money though that Charles was aware of the plan before a few weeks ago but it’s in his PR interest for his camp to say he didn’t.

There has already been some negativity about him on Celebitchy. It’s been suggested on here before that this might happen if they split - and that Harry had better watch his back if he gets on the wrong side of The Squad.

I suspect KC3 knew that they were ‘thinking about coming back to the UK at some point for school for the children’ but I can totally believe he was told on Sunday that they were coming this week.

After all, it’s exactly what happened when they made their original leaving statement - the late Queen was given no notice.

She will use the press to make her look like a doting mother before she returns to Montecito, (if that is indeed the plan, I’m not convinced ) we will see lots of family trip pictures, her dropping them off at school to show she is involved with their lives, a lot of performative parenting will be all over the tabloids to give the impression of an involved mother.

It’s only temporary - they will be back stateside once she’s secured the Christmas Sandringham Walk with them and the King. Then once that’s established she will dip them in royal glitter as required to boost her own ego, persona, business interests - doubt her STBXH has any clue this is what she’s up to.

The Alison Boshoff report claimed KC had known for sometime and PW had known for six months so to say anyone was blindsided is untrue, the thing is this claim is obviously from Sussex HQ and they are known manipulative liars who will feed some dopey “journalist” anything they want printed verbatim to keep them in the headlines, I don’t know what to believe anymore, but I suspect that is exactly the Sussexes intention, one big cat and mouse game.
