Does anyone else wonder if KC has raised Endgame (Dutch edition) with Harry and how that convo went?

Seconded! How they get away with the sustained cruelty towards the unglamorous and un-rich Thomas Markle Snr baffles me.

Harry has never even met him.

I absolutely agree with this too. Thomas Markle worked very hard to pay for Meghan to go to a private Catholic school. Big money in America yet he did not even get a invite to her wedding.
He got absolutely no help at the start from Ham about dealing with the press or media intrusion, surprising giving Hams obsession with it. Look the way KC was treated shortly afterwards, after he stepped in to walk Meghan up the aisle. What a toxic pair.

Maybe HAM could spend Christmas with their children's other grandfather, the one who spent his income not investing for retirement, but on Meghan's school tuitions, and who is currently living, minus a leg, in poverty.

Good point @BemusedAmerican I hadn’t thought of Thomas Markle.
Isn’t it really odd Harry never met him before HAM married ?
Even before the staged photos shenanigans.

BasiliskStare · 24/08/2026 09:07

I must admit I think the TM situation puzzles me. I know he had that ill advised thing with the staged photos and I a see why M wouldn't like that. However , I believe HLMTQ suggested that they send someone over to help him , because let's face it , many people being thrown into that situation might be able to do with a bit of help to navigate it. H&M didn't really seem to try. Now, I don't know what else is / has been going on , but on the face of it they didn't really treat him terribly well & it is astonishing to me H has never met him. Given by all accounts he did pay for her private school / university etc and looked after her for at least part of her upbringing , it does rather lay them open to the view they are bothering about H's father because of the money / status / titles and not with TM. But I don't know the ins and outs of the Markle family , obviously.

Presumably it depends who is invited to Sandringham for Christmas, and who accepts the invitation ...

It wouldn’t look good for KC3 at his stage and position in life to exclude grandchildren from a family Christmas.

Similar to PW & PC - it could really backfire on them if it continues to be reported that they are sour and impacting the DCs.

I would be smarter and manage them, get ahead of the storm, take the wind out of their sails - invite them to attend so public image is protected but behind the scenes keep very tight rein. This is the only family public event up for discussion (also the Christmas Carol Concert) - the RF would need to make the calculation that it was in their benefit to let them tag along or have years and years of spiralling speculation.

Especially when he paid for her first wedding.

SheinSussex · 24/08/2026 09:27

If they do the Sandringham Christmas church walk as a family, won’t they finally have to reveal the children’s faces?

That’s exactly what MM wants for the big reveal and the $$$$. That’s the jackpot.

It would certainly dominate the press.

I agree with you that it wouldn’t be a good look for KC3 to exclude grandchildren at Christmas. So if HAM want to be there at a Sandringham Christmas Church walk, and can’t be persuaded to stay away, I think they will be.

Christmas at Sandringham is by invitation.

If the Sussexes wait until Christmas to reveal the children's faces, there won't be any payout - they will be in a public place at a known public event.
They are much more likely to arrange a magazine photoshoot.

I didn’t say they would do it for a pay out!

Having the HAM kids at a royal Christmas walk would dominate the press even if their faces had been revealed before.

No.

If M is seen to be sharing social events with the Waleses and the Wales children, that gives her the opportunity at a later date to credibly tell the world how bitchy Charlotte was to Lili, how racist George was to Archie, how Louis laughed and poked fun at their American accents.

I don't think Catherine would risk that.

bluegreygreen · 24/08/2026 10:13

No, you didn't, @DandyAF - the person you were replying to did, and I was answering both points at once.

Ever heard of an anterior placenta and pregnancy related constipation?

I think bump theorists show a wild lack of knowledge of female anatomy and pregnancy - probably because they spend too long on the internet and not in the company of actual humans.

I've had two of my own and have another seven grandchildren.

I have never seen any of my, or my DDs' pregnancy bumps start around their middle and descend to their knees in the course of a few hours. Wind can brow a frock around, but not make a bump disappear completely. Perhaps there is something in the water up there in Birkenhead.

God only knows what was said before it, but basically a courtier takes H aside has a word and then H&M are escorted out.

Google it someone posted a link on a previous MN thread

Edited

And the weird detail that one of the courtiers seems to remove a bracelet or something from M's wrist as she leaves.

bluegreygreen · 24/08/2026 10:19

This board usually avoids conspiracy theories about the children.

It's one of the reasons I'm happier posting here than in other places.

Hardware252525252525 · 23/08/2026 19:16

Why would you hope that a family remains estranged?

I, for one, fervently hope that the Waleses remain estranged from the toxic Sussexes, in order to protect themselves from further attacks on their marriage, their health and their reputations. Given that the best prediction of future behaviour is past behaviour.

CoffeeCantata · 24/08/2026 10:29

I mean, I never had a major disagreement with my parents, but even I spend a few regretful minutes each day now (they're both long dead) cringing at the times I was mean and said hurtful things.

How Meghan sleeps at night over this matter baffles me. He's old, he's unwell and he's suffered more than enough for whatever 'crime' the poor old bloke has committed. But he's just an obese, scruffy, wheezing old bloke, isn't he? He's not the His Majesty the Actual Royal King of England.

DandyAF · 24/08/2026 10:33

I think emotional estrangement between the Waleses and the Sussexes may be possible, but I doubt total physical estrangement will be given KC3 and events (physical occasions) regarding him.

CoffeeCantata · 24/08/2026 10:35

Oh no, fellow pps, I just cannot bear the thought of the Sussexes doing the Sandringham Church Walk, or any other royal events.

Surely this will not be allowed to happen. I can't think why they'd be invited to spend Christmas at Sandringham.

I would guess they'll hope to get an invite to Althorp.

I really hope KC doesn't allow them back into contact with W and C. If he is a sentimental old dad, and a poorly one, OK - meet them briefly for tea at Christmas with just Camilla (and a lawyer??) to be witnesses. Hand over the Christmas pressies for the children then.

I can't see any playdates with the Wales children. I feel so strongly that HAM are toxic, malevolent and bitter people that I see only trouble ahead if that happened.

And Meghan was notoriously nasty to Charlotte over the bridesmaid dress incident. She only had George and Charlotte as attendants when the late Queen insisted on it.

The Wales's don't need the Sussexes - I hope they realise that.

For people keen on seeking forgiveness from others, they don't seem very eager to bestow it themselves where Mr Markle is concerned. I am aware that difficult family situations can look very different to outsiders. It's not a good look though that their forgiveness seems to come more freely to their immensely rich family members who have apparently treated them badly, but not others.

HelenaWilson · 24/08/2026 11:21

Similar to PW & PC - it could really backfire on them if it continues to be reported that they are sour and impacting the DCs.

'Sour'?
After all that H said about W in Spare and elsewhere?
After all the little digs against C in Finding Freedom?
After H allowed the speculation that it was C who made the alleged racist remarks to go unrefuted?

Why should William expose himself, his wife and his children to more of the same?

And I bet M would really, really like A and L to be seen with the Wales children and to have photos she can flog. Like she tried with L and the late Queen.

So if I was W the most I would agree to is the children getting together privately somewhere and copyright on any photos remaining with the Waleses.

And I don't think they'd be invited to do the Sandringham church walk.
The sort of attention it would generate is not appropriate for the occasion - when a man of strong religious faith and his family are going to church to celebrate a major Christian festival.

Sizzlerr · 24/08/2026 09:38

That’s exactly what MM wants for the big reveal and the $$$$. That’s the jackpot.

Surely all the photos will be taken by official photographers or by members of the public, so she won’t benefit financially from these photos?
