GBNews are reporting that Harry and Megan are moving back to the UK at the end of August.

I won't believe it until I hear it on the BBC.

TBH If Camilla can be rehabilitated then I think anyone can.

@AoifeRua if you are really unhappy here, why don’t you return to Ireland? I’m an eu dual national (thank you Brexit) and flit between the two. Retired now. House in both countries. I happen to prefer the U.K. as I went to school here, but my roots are the EU country. I see good and bad of both. No country is perfect, just saying …

I find it bizarre that in a family fall out a load of people who don't know the family at all get all frothy at the mouth and take sides. Can you not find your own personal family feuds to get your knickers in a twist over if that kind of drama is what floats your boat ?

So they are moving back to UK, it affects me not at all, they won't receive tax payers money, so why would I care? they can do what they like in terms of where they choose to live, send their kids to school, as can anyone else.

The only royals I have any passing interest in are those that we pay for and expect to do a job for their money, those I feel I have a right to comment on, random non paid ex royals affect no one.

I hope for the sake of 2 innocent children that people keep their vitriol and nastiness in check.

AtIusvue · Today 09:25

So Meg is to work from her international bases while her kids are at school in the UK?????

So she won’t be permanently living with her children then?

People:

‘While the family’s longer-term residential plans remain unclear, PEOPLE understands Meghan will continue leading As Ever from the couple’s international bases, while Harry will be able to spend significantly more time supporting U.K.-based charities and patronages.’

What difference is it going to make to you?

Honestly this thread is pathetic. Good for them coming back here especially if it is because Charles does not have long left.

Of course stick up his arse William won't be happy nor will haggard faced Kate. Well I for one won't be that happy when workshy William is King

W and K must get to you a lot to describe them like that.

Camilla always kept her mouth shut throughout all her travails. Massive difference.

Not daft no.

What is daft is you not knowing that they are facts.

Britain does not teach Irish history in schools and what Britain did to Ireland.

What they did teach was that a "treaty" was agreed. That is about the extent of it.

With all due respect, the UK has over a thousand years of history, both domestic and international. The curriculum could never cover one thing in the depth that I think you’d like. But there’s no shortage of opportunity for people to learn about Ireland if they want to. It’s also a wonderful country to visit with, in my experience, a very welcoming people.

You sound very unhappy here, it’s a shame to make the effort to move to a country and get nothing out of it, but surely you knew how you’d feel prior to doing it.

I don't know what they teach now, but it was a GCSE module in the late 1980s - 'The Irish Question' - I did it (south west England) - and it didn't hold back on what Britain had done to Ireland. It went right back to the massacre at Drogheda and through history, partition, Lloyds George, Bloody Sunday to the then-present day, which was the era of Gerry Adams still being dubbed on the BBC etc.

It was by far the most interesting and relevant of all the GCSE modules on my course.

That's just sounds like any other working couple, really.

Hellohelga · Today 09:29

Maybe they are slowly leading into splitting up. If they divorced in the US H would need permission to move the DC to the UK.

how do we know America is not so welcoming any more?

Because they are leaving

You’re on the RF board.

But this topic habitually spreads over the forum hence my post. There’s already one in AIBU.

That isn't my experience. They are facts, in that the British bow to a royal family.

Not true either. There are plenty of people who don’t bow to the Royals

Harry and Meghan are CFs! Pushing themselves into the limelight whilst claiming they need privacy. Writing gross tell all books complaining about their supposedly awful childhoods. Lying and cheating, demanding security paid for by the British taxpayer when they live in a different country.
William and Catherine are not workshy at all!
They are out supporting charities and trying to raise awareness of those in need.

Your comment is absolutely ridiculous!

Sorry? What?

DaisyDooley · Today 09:36

TaraRhu · Today 08:05

Yes. I think sadly it's coming to the end for Charles. I actually feel sorry for Meghan. Why on earth would they come back to the UK? She was treated appallingly and will be stalked by the Dailymail. The only reason they do this is to spend some time with Charles . But I am glad they have reconciled.

Rubbish.
The King -whether he has years left or not- is a very hard worker who, like his mother will die with his boots on.
Do you think H&M are here to spend oodles of time with him??
What makes you think he wants to spend much time with them??
IF the King is very unwell he will want to spend his spare time with Camilla, his garden, his friends, reading, the Wales and the family members he loves -Princess Anne, Sarah Chatto.
Why you think he will be welcoming masses of time with his nasty, lying disloyal son and his awful, lying, boring wife is beyond me.

Benjithedog · Today 09:36

Well depends on what you mean. It was very successful in terms of viewership and global interest 🤷

In terms of viewership, It's the most popular (non-sporting) broadcast in UK in recent years, more popular than the Emmys in US, most searched interview on Google.

That maybe but in the long term look where it’s got them.”? That initial success didn’t last long term and most people view the interview as a liefest. It’s no surprise that Oprah doesn’t host the interview on her website.

panomara · Today 09:42

The only thing I'm interested in, is has Charles offered them a house, just like he sorted his despicable brother out. Surely he has, it's his son who did not mess around with underage girls and all the rest of it after all.

I hope there are no double standards here or I shall be VERY cross 😊
