A shiny new thread to continue the chat on the Sussexes summer shenanigans!

I always thought piers Morgan was talking out his arse but now I believe he was right. She was deliberately hunting for a wealthy bachelor. I don't think H sees the damage he has done. He's totally enamoured with his wife and quite frankly, too dim

H&M wont come back to the UK as Royals or anything else for that matter.
No one will be thrilled at M turning up hogging the limelight and smirking, whilst wanting freebies.

H is embrolied in embarressing court cases, clearly hates his entire family and the uk. The frredom flight vid was awful, given his age, status. He made it clear he thought we were all.mugs and was well rid of us. It was not a spontaneous action.

If they had even a whisper of public money, benefitted in any way, the public would be very angry indeed. At Charles, at H and his wife, the gov. They would have to leave again.

It very obvious they want / need some sort of Royal role. I don't get why they would do anything to rock the boat with W&C. I know they are dumb but this is nonsensical

Honestly, I don’t care how he felt, no other person on this earth gets to quit their job and continue to reap the rewards of a company car , wages and protection under the insurance of that company…why should Harry ? , he made his choice very clear …now as any adult, he must face the consequences.

It's so short sighted. If Harry really wants back in, and it may not be true, but if he does, the most sensible way forward is to eat humble pie with both the King and Queen and William and Catherine. The AMW debacle showed that the Heir and the monarch work together when it comes to anything about the institution. However fond a father Charles is, when it comes to Harry and Meghan requesting back in, the good of the monarchy will come first and at the moment they are simply too volatile and leaky to risk it.

If this isn't direct from them they need to reign in whoever is briefing off piste because it's causing them reputational harm when they attack Catherine and William.

I don’t for a minute believe the Wales’s would be there at the same time as them. They’ll be off doing their own thIngs over the summer and will attend Balmoral when and if it suits them. I don’t even believe for one minute the King and Queen would have both families under the same roof at the same time. Any visit by the gruesome twosome is likely to be private to the extent no one else from the family will be around and will only last a week at the most.

It's all very interesting. I still suspect Harry wants to return and Meghan is making the right noises to him, then the minute he turns on his X-box she's on the phone, briefing stuff to the press that will sabotage any chance of this happening.

I can well imagine her snooping around with her camera, making audio notes and gathering material for her next opportunity to exploit being a royal.
I hope they’re made to stay well away from Balmoral, in one of the estate cottages and v closely followed if they get anywhere near the main house.

I don't expect the royal press cuttings service runs to heatworld but I'd like to imagine a print out of this bonkers drivel sitting on the balmoral breakfast table.

However according to Tom Bower’s book Meghan had a broader ambition to meet a famous English man. Lizzie Cundy has repeatedly said Meghan specifically told her she was single and loved English men, and asked her to help find someone famous.

2014 - Rory McIlroy (huge NI golf pro) He nominated her to the do the ice bucket challenge (why???) so she arranged for Rory to come and pour the water over her at a friend’s apartment.

According to Tom Bower, they then went for drinks at the Fitzpatrick Hotel. Rory had a tournament the following morning and, after what Bower described as a “hectic night,” played poorly, dropping to around 101st. He was the No1 golfer at the time!!

In October 2014, Meghan was in Dublin for the One Young World summit, and she and Rory were photographed having dinner at Fade Street Social. Reports also said they were seen together at the Westbury Hotel.

Bower’s account goes further, saying that two months after the New York encounter, Meghan and Rory met for dinner in Ireland and that Meghan “gazed intently” at him.

2015 Ashley Cole - Bower says Meghan was particularly interested in him and repeatedly asked about him. Much more in the book! Sadly I think Charles has to be absolutely ruthless now and just not engage with them at all. Any contact they have with him with be spun to suit their purposes and they will try to denigrate W and C.

I think Charles should carry on with his current strategy. Occasional short, private meetings if H&M choose to visit and agree to his schedule and terms.

Ignore all the spin and PR, they have no credibility left, and are going to do.it whether he meets them or not. But a far better 'look' for Charles than if he refuses to meet. And very possibly he does want to maintain a degree of contact with his son, even if that contact has to have clear boundaries.

The phrasing of “The Wales can’t stop them” is so telling, isnt it? Bonkers, certainly - so perfectly illustrating HAM’s obsessive psychology - but I honestly doubt the Wales are sitting around plotting anything. Like us, they probably have a decent stock of popcorn ready for the next episode of crazy, but the real burn in Montecito must be that C&W are just not bovvered.

Beyond that, if you take away all the press briefings, there are children/grandchildren at the heart of this. Even if they are mostly being raised by Nannies, I think many Grandparents would be concerned about children experiencing Archie and Lilly’s upbringing. It’s a good reason to keep lines of communication open.

It’s also worth mentioning ( again) the Rose Hanbury story .
Harry had to attend a State Dinner and as Meghan was only a GF she was not invited . At the time several sources reported that M was furious .
H accompanied Rose as her DH was on official duty .
Shortly afterwards the Rose / William rumour was started by Gilles Coren (who later backtracked ).
Again several sources claim that H and M were spotted in conversation with GC at Soho House just before the rumour started.
I remember several Sussex Supporters on here insisting it was true yet once Rose issued a legal warning it stopped .

Even if only about 10% of the stuff we hear about Meghan is true, she still seems to be a really horrible individual. As previously observed, she might be a complete delight, however the public perception is that she isn’t, and perception is everything.

I also recall reading about how M was annoyed that Pippa didn’t invite her to the wedding ceremony only the evening so managed to get herself photographed leaving a beauty salon .

If true, I think this is truly despicable. Imagine being someone who thinks, ‘Oh, here’s larks. I shall spread a rumour about two married people, which will cause emotional upset and discord in public and private, potentially destabilising two marriages where there are young children, not to mention the damage done to reputations. None of it’s true, but let’s say it anyway for shits and giggles.’

I think this supposed briefing is very irregular. I don’t think for a moment H&M briefed this W&C nonsense. I noted that the the two brothers locking horns is not even a part of the media narrative anymore. It seems it’s accepted they are permanently estranged. To me it’s just sensationalist click bait with an extreme Sussex Supporter spin (that I dont even think MM would identify with) - it’s an attempt to say something outrageous for clicks and $$$. And the publisher has succeeded in that.

Giles Coren is a drunken gobshite and I’m glad his wine infused tweets have taken him off the telly.

So perhaps the Office of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex could issue a statement ( they like doing that) saying that they wish H’s brother and SIL nothing but happiness!

I hadn’t realised that Harry and Meghan are back with Sunshine Sachs, which explains the relentless PR push about getting back into the Royal Family. This must be costing a fortune. Hope they get paid before the ANL bill arrives

I didn't know the stuff about M not being at Pippa's wedding.... wouldn't you just love to hear Catherine and Pippa talking about Meghan?!

I thought she was at the wedding - wasn't there some issue about swapping place cards at the meal?
