I was hypothesising. I’m just saying what it would be like for Charles in the event that he pushed for them all to put on a display of unity. I’d hope he has the sense not to.

He did the same at QE2 funeral - when the ‘fab4’ were told to go look at the flowers together in Windsor. Not one of them wanted to be there. This was post OW interview and although pre Spare and NFs - probs one of the most intense times with the racial slur hanging over everyone. C looked to be furious - MM tried the ickle girl cowering from the bully shtick but no one was fooled.

There is a lot of security around the church at Christmas with roped off areas. But there is nothing to stop them filming themselves in November and then later on photoshopping themselves into the Christmas Day walkabout. We would think they were mad. But technically they could do it.

Nothing to stop them camping out overnight on the otherside of the rope if they feel excluded….

Meghan was caught snapping at an aide , realised she was being filmed and switched to nice girl .
It was said that KC ordered the walk around as H and M were planning their own , complete with photographers.

Justdancevance · 08/08/2026 15:42

That was a good article, I remember her snapping at the aide until she remembered she was being filmed.

I’s say she had her hand holding flowers , single tear left eye ready for the camera and the aide ruined all her work 🤣

BasiliskStare · 08/08/2026 14:33

@BigWillyLittleTodger Do you know what I could imagine about that interview ( not saying it is true but if it is ) .
Either M is just very very rude
or
She's skim read some crap book , a downmarket version of Interviewing for Dummies , and thought , if this woman doesn't speak within a minute , she's not the sort of person I want. That same (non existent ) book would probably have the David Brent method of putting half the applications in the bin and then saying "I only want to employ lucky people". Or the apocryphal story of the Oxford interviewee who set fire to the interviewer's newspaper to get his attention.
If she couldn't be bothered to even speak to a woman who was clearly nervous , well , shame on her. But what M knows about being a good manager I reckon could go on the back of a postage stamp , given all the rubbish business word salad we have heard from her re being a female founder etc. how she treats staff and so on. No doubt she would defend it as being upfront and female ambition. I'd call it managerial incompetence.

That’s more than being rude, that’s purposely bullying and intimidating a young woman half her age who was expecting to be interviewed for a vacancy, instead Meghan decided to humiliate her and send her on a her way with not even a thank you, let alone being actually interviewed. Meghan wasn’t playing a part, that’s exactly who she is, a nasty bully who enjoys punching down.

Apologies, I have completely missed the Istanbul stories (is it in the Sarah Vine piece as I can't open that on my phone-VPN, I have a computer I will use later)
If it is somewhere else can you please point me in the direction.

Justdancevance · 08/08/2026 15:50

All her staff are probably spitting in the jam when she’s not looking if she treats people like that 🤣

If it is true that Charles ordered them to do a walkabout I think it was sensible bit of people management. It's good practice to corral the unpredictable with the reliable.

I heard it was William who invited them on the 'walkabout'. If true, it was a smart power move from the newly minted Prince of Wales.

And royal security would not have let unauthorised photographers cameras anywhere near Windsor Castle, so I think a freelance Sussex 'walkabout' was a non starter.

I tend to believe the Istanbul and staff interview stories. I absolutely think she sees herself as special and that anyone would be beyond fortunate to even be in her presence. I'm wary of labelling but she displays the behaviour of a narcissist over and over again.
The fact is that she also has no-one, not one single friend or family member, who seems to be able tell her to stop being a massive diva and start behaving with some humility. Even Doria seems to be around less, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's actually her choice.
I sometimes wonder if the shedding of anyone no longer of use to her also includes people who may have tried to reign her in. No wonder she couldn't wait to leave the royal institution with it's old fashioned expectations of decent manners and how to behave, particularly as evidenced by Catherine in particular.

Edited due to stupid autocorrect 🙄

Edited

Where is her mother Doris in all this? Does she live with them? We rarely see pictures of her.

As I understand it, she wasn’t around for all of Meghan’s childhood or have I got that wrong? Is she not able to take her daughter to task about her, Meghan’s behaviour or is she frightened of being cut off?

I have so many questions! Does anyone know anything???

BasiliskStare · 08/08/2026 16:25

I don't agree with everything Richard Eden says but on this I agree with him
https://www.dailymail.com/news/royals/article-16036515/prince-harry-step-invictus-games-king-charles-richard-eden.html

I don't think it's behind a paywall .

In addition , I think if H&M had anything about them , they would say to People , by all accounts their voice of choice , do not publish anything from "insiders" "sources" or anyone who purports to speak from us , unless we publish under our own names. But they won't. I do think the number of articles they let go because it upholds their we are practically back in the RF fold narrative is tantamount to unfair pressure on KC. Let's hope the MIGS are on the case.

Prince Harry should 'step down' from Invictus, declares RICHARD EDEN

Richard Eden argued the controversy already surrounding an event still eleven months away was reason enough for Harry to consider stepping away from the Games altogether.

Are royals personally involved in staff interviews? That would seem strange to me.

@SheinSussex didn't think about them photoshopping themselves in on the Christmas walk, they couldn't be that mad, could they? Answers on a postcard!
I was thinking more on the lines of "we're showing the children my family church, we aren't allowed there at Christmas, boo hoo, whine whine whine", that sort of thing. Now THAT I could see happening.

I don't know @IcedPurple . I can imagine if it someone the principle has to work with day to day , there may be an interview after the initial rounds , just to see if it is someone they can get along with . However , I don't actually know.

Justdancevance · 08/08/2026 16:52

I’m sure if the article is is incorrect her overworked assistant will add a clap back to his long to do list 🤣

Yeah, I don't know how it works either. I could see the royal maybe being present at interviews if candidates had already been whittled down to a short list. Even then I can't imagine the royal being the main interviewer, perhaps just observing and asking the occasional question. But I'd be surprised if they're present at initial interviews. The Private Secretary or other relevant staff members would likely take care of that. But this is just guess work on my part!

The best thing William did was marry Catherine . Not just because she is smart, cheerful , respectful etc etc but because William experienced a close knit family and he has clearly learned from that and wants similar for his children and it looks like it is working .

To be fair, only Charles seems not to have produced a close knit family. Divorces notwithstanding, Anne, Andrew and Edward all seem to have positive relationships with their children and wider family. And whilst there's no sense of, for example, any relationship between Louise and Eugenie, there isn't a public beef either.

If M was waiting for the young woman to speak, it also displays an ignorance of royal protocol, which is that you, the peasant, should wait for the RF member to speak first.

The more I hear about MM the more I think she’s pig ignorant, common and far from being suited to be a member of the royal family.
She came over with lawyers etc already set up, an agenda to get as much as possible from her position and to exploit it for as much money as possible.
She disgusts me, no class, manners or respect for anyone.

JSMill · 08/08/2026 17:55

It would have been pretty hard for Charles to nurture a close knit family when he and his dw could hardly bear to be in the same room as each other. Apart from being immensely privileged, W and H don’t seem to have had the greatest childhoods. It feels like they spent a great deal of time away from their dps.

Harry is looking portly in those pictures.

Where's an expert Saville Row tailor when you need one?

Another drab black dress for Meghan.

Well , I would not call the young woman a peasant 😂 - but I get your tongue in cheek point. If this were an interview for job , whether it be the first or the last , and if it is true M does not come across well in in understanding royal protocol , as you say , or management technique or just basic fucking good manners.

I think the problem with H&M is they have spouted so much nonsense & indeed untruths which they have never properly reined back on , there are lots of stories about bullying high handedness which do come across as too many to ignore and yet they just plough on regardless. H thinks he can call High Court Judges' decisions an "establishment stitch up " or " a whitewash" . I think they've got themselves , unfortunately , into a position where quite a lot of people are prepared to believe the worst not the best of them. & that is a really hard PR problem. I'm not sure they've found the answers to that.
