Was I the only one that felt a little badly for the MN team member who tried to get our input in order to help build a guide for this forum recently? That didn’t go as planned!

Am in the only one who laughed about Justine’s “The Royal family forum
is deranged” comment and can take it in stride? That thread was definitely an example!

I am proposing we try again and help crowd source a guide. I just ask that we don’t be so RFF, and have a sense of humor while we do so. I’ll paste my draft attempt below. Everyone is welcome to contribute however they like.

My irony meter has just gone up to eleven.

One thing I find strange about MN is how some posters cannot get their head round the fact that someone might send them a PM/DM or whatever you call it. Or you might send one. Why not?
It's not always some nefarious collusion!

I have helped people out in the past and given something to a poster I didn't need which was a huge help to them. Without the PM facility, it would have been impossible.

You can't tell me that all the posters on here have never sent or received a PM! I just don't believe it.

You and I may be allies in the RF wars, but I hold that the David Hedison version of The Fly was far superior to your namesakes's. This might be an insurmountable obstacle to cabillung.

@jeffgoldblum I didn't see those 2 posts until after they got deleted, but you are consistently unreasonably singled out.

I was staggered about a year ago to find out that someone was complaining about my RF comments on reddit. They also criticised some other very reasonable posters. Cie la vie.

I just made a point that not all PMs are bad. How awful of me. I have to say I agree with the poster who said that posters get driven off. This is totally what is happening. This thread leaves a horrible taste in the mouth.
