Was I the only one that felt a little badly for the MN team member who tried to get our input in order to help build a guide for this forum recently? That didn’t go as planned!

Am in the only one who laughed about Justine’s “The Royal family forum
is deranged” comment and can take it in stride? That thread was definitely an example!

I am proposing we try again and help crowd source a guide. I just ask that we don’t be so RFF, and have a sense of humor while we do so. I’ll paste my draft attempt below. Everyone is welcome to contribute however they like.

OK I can see I am being referred to as a flouncer so I will respond to that.

To clarify I do think there has been bullying on this board when people were driven off.

What else do you call it when people have felt too intimidated to post?

Posters who shall remain nameless have pm’d me out of the blue because they felt genuine distress about it.

Mumsnet HQ can go through my pms if they want proof, I have also contacted them about it on two or three occasions in the last couple of months.

That’s it. I think it’s unfair Mumsnet HQ that I am being targeted here. It’s not just me complaining about it, the unpleasantness on the RF board has been noted and commented upon outside of this site if you care to look.

I am a genuine poster and I am not here to jeer at others and cause mischief like some.

I was asking the posters who do post on PR disasters if its okay because as this thrrad has shown those same posters have said its okay is conversations meander so therefore if that is allowed then mentioning Andrew shouldn't be an issue and there would be the chorus of you are derailing a thread after all food, movies, animals can all be mentioned. At least get the context of why I said it before using it incorrectly

I did not write that at all. Mrs Leon did not write that in their answer to me. And the only person I have seen personally named for whatever behaviour has been Goldblum not you.

I thought this thread was about being lighthearted...noone was persoanlly attacked, was anyone personally named in the posts? What was the phrase used...if it doesnt apply to you why are you commenting? So if what I wrote doesn't apply to you then why are you feeling 'attacked'?

Only because it was reported not because they saw it and decided on their own. What peeople find funny is subjective after all.

They don’t read through every post on mumsnet 😂 😂😂 they rely on posters reporting when it was reported they read your post and agreed you broke talk guidelines so you were deleted and rightly so.

I don’t think anyone is too intimidated to post either.

If I don’t like what someone says, I’ll either answer it or walk away.

I would leave because sometimes there is no getting through to people who won’t listen to why you think a particular thing.

It doesn’t mean it is weak. Just that it sometimes feels futile.

Why don’t you take it up with MNHQ, they can answer your questions on why your post broke talk guidelines.
