Why is Dan Wootton so obsessed and full of hatred for Harry & Meghan?

i recently listened to Spare on audible - purely because it was free and I was interested to see what he had to say. ( most of it was boring self indulgent crap imo)
predictably the algorithms have filled my YouTube with H &M stuff!

it seems there is a daily barrage of videos from DW about them, such vitriol from this man. It’s unhinged!
I mean don’t get me wrong, I’m no fan of theirs at all but Jesus he acts like they murdered his granny.
He’ll post a picture of one of them literally smiling and turn it into a massive conspiracy theory about smirking at the Queen on her deathbed or some utter nonsense

I find gifs whoever does them, annoying, they take-up space, and as I said originally it is just. my. opinion

I thought the reason that MN wanted to create an FAQ for this forum was to explain some of the long running jokes here. Did I misunderstand? I felt badly for the mumsnet team member who started that thread!

I think if we all start chiming in about what we find annoying this thread will need 25 sequel threads.

Well the problem with talking in general is it can apply to anyone or everyone you see! 🤷‍♀️
I personally do not like longwinded essays on mn , just walls of text! , so I scroll past and ignore them, it’s easier that way.

H and M could cure cancer but because they've left England and the Royal family theyre the worst in the world. H went to Afghanistan and started the Invictus games yet he gets the worst word from everyone. He has had a disagreement with his family, wanted a different life, stuck up for himself, said things he should not have said publicly ...but that is not much different to any other family...just read mumsnet. I dont read/listening to all the rubbish spawned about them but still i see the headlines and who by...DW is like the vicious village gossip and for all his tripe about h+m he is making money off them. How many would tune in otherwise?

H+M arent perfect but my god the other royal who has done much much .much worse is still in a royal lodge of sorts, riding his horses with servant(s) who still have to call him sir. He has a lifetimes worth of odious behaviour to everyone in his orbit yet its h+m who are peddled as being the worst.

What is also interesting is the go to narrative of its always the woman's fault..'Megan led him astray.'🤔

Wasnt so long ago 'Kate made William marry her' , laid the trap and snared him. 🙄

Global hatred is an unhelpful exaggeration. Hand M are disliked by many because of their behaviour. The lies and bullying , causing great distress to the late Queen and PP- people that H supposedly admired and loved .
M’s completely wrong assertion that Archie wasn’t getting a title because of his skin colour , that she couldn’t get help for her alleged MH problems, that she had her passport taken away yet managed several trips overseas.
I agree that if M wasn’t happy she could leave but why cling on to the Royal title ? Why insist on being called ma’am ? Etc etc .
All this has been said many times yet some people still think she was treated badly ! Unbelievable.

i think H has always been a problem and I suspect there is a lot we don’t know about his antics. The Nazi uniform and fisticuffs are only the tip of the iceberg.

I do think that M did not lead H astray.

I do however think that they have served to encourage the inner feelings they have of inequality, bitterness, inadequacy in one another and in doing that, they have both failed to grab the many fabulous opportunities that were open to them.

I am always surprised when they say they are happy because happy people do not create misery around them. They usually radiate joy and spread goodwill.

They would have my pity if they had not hurt or disparaged so many along the way.

They absolutely had it all (even when they left the RF) and it is genuinely baffling as to why they chose to go down the route they have.

Is it misogyny or misandry? I think many see Harry as not being intellectually or emotionally likely to have conceived of or executed so many of the actions that are criticized.

Who had the idea of posting a “service is universal” riposte to HMQE on a public website, for example? Whose idea was the website in the first place? It’s not a stretch to think it was likely Meghan, the woman who had her own site prior.

Speaking of what one does and does not like; hyperbole like “they could cure cancer” and it’s reverse kinfolk grate on my nerves.

They have, in fact, not cured cancer though some treat them as if they have done.

I personally have been complimentary in the past of Harry’s charitable endeavors but more recently he seems to be getting in his own way. The drama around “will they or won’t they”
over shadowed the UK Invictus. One example of several.

Wish people here, DW and that dreadful Campbell woman, would just leave them alone. They clearly love one another, have kids who will one day be old enough to read this crap spouted about them. Live and let live!

I wholly understand the sentiment but since they are still directly feeding the media regularly it must not be what they want. Leaking the date/time/location of the peace summit to Daily Mail is more than a clue that they want to remain a topic.

They had the opportunity and the resources to be left alone or live a less public life.

While maybe not being able to cure cancer, they had such an opportunity to do good and raise awareness for many causes.

Of course it doesn't stop people trying to police threads and wamt people to stop reporting when guidelines are broken then making unfounded accusations of posters using AI with zero proof. And making comments syaing stop feeding the pigeons in an in joke referring to posters who have different opinions and is a aay to degrade and dehumaize them. No there does not need to be some faq for people just don't be nasty to other people, its pretty simple.

Now the derail continues instead of talking about the topic being Dan W and why he shrunk ojt content about them as ever its become another opportunity for those to have another pop at H&M and there are threads already in which people can do that.

They don't need Dan W they aren't making money off of what he does. Dan needs it because lost his job and needs a way to make money and this is the most lucrative way to do it.

My god there's something wrong with Wootton. I just looked at his youtube channel, not to listen to but to look, I feel rather grubby now even just looking, he is beyond obsessed with harry and meghan. The headlines of each one were bad enough, goodness knows what the content 30 minutes each is like.

He is just spouting off for $$$$$$$.

There is a difference between mass reporting (which I mentioned) and reporting guidelines being broken.

If someone chooses to laud or criticise H&M on this thread I do think it is valid. The original post was about DW making his money off H&M and living off his hatred.

I don’t think it is a derail to discuss why he may have that hatred and to discuss why he may be mistaken.

As I’ve said before, there isn’t much difference between DW earning his money discussing H&M and his ‘hatred’ of them and H discussing his family and the hatred of the establishment of the press in his book and elsewhere. He is making a few bob out of that too.

Perhaps we are in the wrong job but I don’t think I’d care to earn my money in such a way.

I do care about not being able to express what I feel is a fair opinion because someone else thinks I should not though.

Yep, both making money of their grievances, I’ve read many a time the phrase “good for them” in relation to Harry making money off of his grievances, so good for Dan too I guess 🤷‍♀️
