This I wholeheartedly agree with.
What I can’t understand is the insistence to remain ‘royal’ by insisting on using the title and channelling all thing royal. Little crests and the like. It makes no sense.
I understand that she is entitled to her title and to use it. Same goes with her husband.
But if I was known as a humanitarian/philanthropist/successful businesswoman/actress, I would be damned before I linked my name to a family and institution I despised. If she is all that is noted above, she shouldn’t need the doors opened with the links to the Royals.
And yet…
I would have more respect for them if they went their own way and cut the links and got on with it.
So I can understand the fascination of DW and his ilk. H&M are a mass of contradictions and their actions oft come across as puzzling.
It certainly warrants a look, conversation and comment on occasion.
If there wasn’t the compelling need to hang on tightly to the coat tails of the RF and bemoaning their lot in life (galling when they are also telling us that they are all of the above again), they would have found their niche, likely been successful and would have been left alone - bar mentions of humanitarian and philanthropic doings.
But they didn’t.
