I have a confession. I ordered flower sprinkles. Not from As Ever and they are out of them, anyway. But I did. They should arrive today.

Here's the culinary bods.

HAM at the Emmys and H off his face. What a nightmare

Hope you're going to add them to everything, @TheHatTrick 😄

You're missing my point. I wasn't saying The Lincoln Lawyer and As Ever are comparable in quality. I was using it as an example that Netflix doesn't automatically renew every show and the example just happens to be one I watch. That's all. There's no need to make it negative when that wasn't the point being discussed.

Apologies. I phrased my post badly. The Lincoln lawyer was excellent TV. I really don't know why Netflix didn't renew and it certainly wasn't due to viewing figures. As Ever was a complete flop

Enjoy, they are a great way to add vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants without using supplements and its all natural. I buy butterfly pea flowers and use it to make tea, it's full of antioxidants and great for reducing inflammation, plus its a gorgeous blue colour and if you add an acid like lemon it changes it to purple which I use in cocktails so always a bit of showstopper when I have people over.

The show may not win but an Emmy nomination is still a prestigious achievement. It's also not just about Meghan it's recognition for the entire production team. For them, an Emmy nomination is a really big deal and a great achievement after all the work they've put into the series. Good for them.

I suspect the Emmy team thought - ‘who and/or what will draw attention to our awards and gain and sustain column inches for months in the run up to Oct’

inspired choice for that….well done that marketing / comms person….H&M always easy to generate click bait. I haven’t seen it but lots on here said the setting and production was immaculate so well deserved - even if MM was the usual cringe fest - everyone else delivered.

Also looks very contrived that each network / streamer gets a nomination.

Without wanting to derail, just quickly add that it is excellent apparently it was due to end anyway at season 5. It's a shame will just have to continue on with the books instead.

desperatehazzer · 14/07/2026 20:40

Other nominations.

This is the sort of thing I'd like to have seen in WLM! Would have been visually impressive as you say and a nice trick to share.

It's a shame she's fallen out with several of her guests since then . 😬

I’ve never been convinced that Catherine is actually allergic to horses, I suspect it’s
BP spin for has no interest in or maybe is even afraid of riding.

Why on earth would they need to spin such a non issue

Elton is 79 and has two teenage kids. He will want to make sure their futures are secure. He's apparently said he wants to take a Warren Buffet style approach and not leave them vast amounts, and that most of his fortune will go to charity, probably mostly to his AIDS foundation. I find it hard to see why he should have to divert money he has earned from his own work and talent away from his chosen worthy cause, to something else just because a man in his early 40s doesn't want to find a way to pay the bill he's run up through his own poor judgement. So much for all this 'becoming independent' stuff they spouted. Harry didn't mean a word of it. And I'm also annoyed that he thinks Elton should pay because he introduced Harry to David Sherborne! Once again, any mistakes Harry has ever made are someone else's fault.

I read somewhere (can't remember where) that the claimants are jointly and severally liable for any costs.

If this is true, ANL may end up pursuing Elton for most of the costs anyway,

@DaisyDooley! , while I remember, if you decide to start a thread here about jewellery ( make sure you have lots with rubies, or face the wrath of Jeff!) , please make sure the title and opening states very clearly that it’s for appreciating royal jewels only! , no discussion of ham , no discussion of other royals ( apart from jewels) and no mention of duchies!!! , otherwise you might get visits from a certain poster who will wang on about the jewels not paying taxes or funding themselves or covering up for certain other jewels! 😁

Some of those jewels are awfully lazy.

bluegreygreen · 14/07/2026 20:49

I had a quick read down the other Emmy daytime nominations (lighting, directing, makeup etc) but didn't see With Love, Meghan appear anywhere else.

Lunde · 14/07/2026 20:23

I thought the nomination would be in the comedy category 😂

Horror, surely.

For those praising the backgrounds and production values, I agree that the episode showing the ovens being used as storage for cardboard boxes was exemplary in these respects.

I've no idea why either.

It's not like there's a specific requirement for a Princess of Wales to be able to ride (and we don't even know that Catherine can't, or that they don't ride as a family, all we know is that she's allergic to horses).

3peassuit · 14/07/2026 21:05

@Every review I saw for that show was completely negative. If the Emmys are to have any credibility with the public they can’t give an award to a car crash program like WLM.

Ohpleeeease · 14/07/2026 21:13

Theunamedcat · 14/07/2026 20:45

Maybe spin is the wrong word, gloss over perhaps? The RF is exceedingly horsey, maybe they felt the need to justify C’s distinct lack of interest. I hope she isn’t allergic because she must find the obligatory horsey events a bit of an ordeal.

bluegreygreen · 14/07/2026 21:17

I can imagine if you are going to spend your day being photographed on engagements, and you're allergic to horses, you'll stay away from them because otherwise you'll be sneezing and have red eyes/runny nose etc.

That doesn't mean you don't like horses or can't ride - just that you avoid them at work.

Ohpleeeease · 14/07/2026 21:27

But there are occasions when she can’t avoid being around them, so hopefully she isn’t allergic because that would be pretty miserable. As a pp said, it’s a non issue, just a doubt I have.
