Do you think they would be annoyed if I just did a jewellry one?
Not even current new pieces, but older pieces.
Im a bit obsessed and my poor DD is sick of playing ‘let’s look at jewellry’.
It would just be nice to show and share pictures and learn some new stuff.
What do you think @bluegreygreen and @Ohpleeeease ?

I'm a fairly recent (and infrequent) poster there, so it's probably better to check with more frequent posters.

Would you want to start your thread in Style, or here on the Royal board?

I would prefer to just have it here on the Royal board.

I would prefer to just have it here on the Royal board.

There have been threads about fashion and jewelry here in the past.

Cocaine? MDMA? Lots of stimulant recreational drugs cause digestive issues, diarrhea and urgency !

Heavy drinking does that but really shouldn't happen to a man of 41

bluegreygreen · 14/07/2026 18:03

But even if you have a reason for it to happen, most people don't go on a podcast and talk about it.

Listened to a YouTube chat about Harry's admission that he's basically unemployed AKA full time Dad. The person doing it mentioned his previous Heart of Invictus Netflix special (I didn't even know it had happened until sometime after and obviously didn't bother to seek out and watch). Apparently her commentary on it garnered 400,000 views whilst the documentary itself had just 100,000 views according to Netflix figures. Which is hilarious.
Anyway anyone remember when he was filmed juggling outside the window whilst Meghan was sat at her big table/desk, computer sat on a pile of her Bench books? Wonder if she did that on purpose to portray herself as the busy career woman with a useless clown of a husband who had nothing better to occupy himself with than juggling on the terrace. Or maybe it accidentally portrayed the truth of the situation. 🤷‍♀️

Anyway here's the link. I don't really know who she is, it just popped up as I was watching stuff whilst catching up with my massive ironing pile (it's been to hot to tackle for the last 2 or 3 weeks). A bit long winded at times, but the bit about the viewing figures is about 6 minutes in.

That’s the Brittany of the Royal News Network. Can be a bit long winded but is an avid follower of all things royal and covers the European royals too. She doesn’t just sit and pontificate, she puts in the air miles. She has some interesting insights into Meghan Markle’s business model. Like Rachel the Curious Pilot she does her homework.

I'm intrigued by his claim that he's a "full time Dad".
Surely all Dads are?
Does he mean a SAHP? Hardly applicable when they have nannies.

He may have Meant a SAHP but makes no sense with 2 Nannies and Meg there too

Starryfifty · 14/07/2026 18:10

Full time hustler 😂😂

Indeed. He really has no shame.

Exactly! , I think we can all see why hams rich and famous friends disappear or distance themselves!
nobody wants to be treated like a bank and be pestered for money constantly!

He probably thinks they should feel honoured to fund his princely being, jeff Confused

I think this is it - he was welcomed to the club when he was new but his popularity/novelty factor has dive bombed and people get sick of people looking for freebies. Plus there's no more Sentabale polo matches and funding.

As regards William, I'm not sure. Back in the day when Prince Phillip played I think he/the Queen bred quite a lot of his polo ponies. Princess Anne's first eventer, Doublet, was bred by the Queen as a polo pony and gifted to PA, perhaps the horse grew too big to be suited to polo, he was a thoroughbred cross I believe. When Charles started being keen on polo I imagine the tradition if not of breeding their own horses, at least owning his own string continued.
Then I think he probably kept a few for William and Harry, I can recall an interview with Harry sat in the stable yard, horses in the background. (And let's not forget a certain girl groom...🤨).

Now I wonder if William just gets lent horses or uses club horses for the odd match, but I think there's a military tradition of playing and there are probably a few kicking about at Windsor for him to use. I'm pretty sure I recognise the white faced horse in the photo above, which must be a favourite of his, though of course you need several for a match. I've never seen pictures of him riding in Windsor Great park, like a certain AMW used to, and Edward and his family sometimes do. But he has to ride and practice, perhaps in a more private area or indoor school. You can't just hop on a horse and do Trooping the Colour or play in a polo match if you haven't ridden at all for several months. So he may keep a horse or two.
We don't even know if the children are learning to ride, Catherine is famously allergic to horses, but I can't imagine a royal child not learning to ride and how will George do Trooping the Colour when his time comes if he hasn't learnt?

As an aside I also noticed William doesn't wear spurs for polo. No pictures of him on a horse with bleeding sides from the spurs like there is with Harry. He seems to genuinely like his horses and always gives them a pat and checks them over before mounting I've noticed.

I'm sure they had ponies growing up as Highgrove is virtually next door to the Beaufort Polo club.

You are right about William. I'm sure he keeps some horses at the Windsor stables and probably has some at Anmer/Sandringham as well. He also seems to have a genuine affection for his horses and I have seen videos several times him giving his horse a carrot - including after Trooping the Colour.

DaisyDooley · 14/07/2026 18:19

I wonder if Sir Elton telling him NO is why Harry then changed his mind about staying at BP and getting Meghan -who as we suspect was never planning on coming- talked into gettimg the children here to see ‘Grandpapa’.

He needs the money.
He is spiralling.
Runny fruity spread anyone?? Three jars for the price of two??

I suspect you are right!! , this is a man who thinks his jobs are ….( in no particular order!) ….prince of England! 🙄……retired army veteran!!!!……full time dad! ……and dates his life of service to when he was born!
obviously puzzled , he’s under the impression people should just give him money because of who he is! 🙄
honestly he is such a useless wanker!!

Costs haven't been decided yet but ballpark 50m. That's divided by 7 ? If that's the case, it's pittance for Elton J ?

I’m pretty sure I read that William had sold his polo ponies a few years ago - it may concide with Catherine getting ill.
Im also sure they do have horses which they will move between Windsor & Amner. Plenty of stables at Sandringham.
All of the children will ride -funny how we have had two consecutive Princess of Wales who don’t ride though!
I hope one of them is horsey. Didn’t do Anne &Zara any harm.

Well yes -but it’s fair enough paying your own £7 million but quite another thing to be expected to pay Harry’s cut and who knows if Harry expects his to pay DLs too -as well as contributing to Invictus. Then it’s looking like £30 million and I’m absolutely sure Elton would prefer £30million to go into his own philanthropic trust.

I’ve never been convinced that Catherine is actually allergic to horses, I suspect it’s
BP spin for has no interest in or maybe is even afraid of riding.

jeffgoldblum · 14/07/2026 18:31

@DaisyDooley! , while I remember, if you decide to start a thread here about jewellery ( make sure you have lots with rubies, or face the wrath of Jeff!) , please make sure the title and opening states very clearly that it’s for appreciating royal jewels only! , no discussion of ham , no discussion of other royals ( apart from jewels) and no mention of duchies!!! , otherwise you might get visits from a certain poster who will wang on about the jewels not paying taxes or funding themselves or covering up for certain other jewels! 😁

Cos they are mates and Harry is used to expecting other people to pick up the tab.
