I don't get the Charles Spencer relationship? I never knew they were close and he hosted them at Althorp. Does he have grandchildren? Maybe he wants the hamlets to have a relationship with them ?

Thanks for replying properly rather than just dismissing what I said or assuming I'm a bot or using AI. It's just how I write. I know people on here like evidence, so it only took me a few minutes to find the thread and the quotes.

Whether Meghan "pushed her way" into photos is really a matter of opinion. None of us were there. We've all been in group photos where people get shuffled about and someone says, "No, stand there instead." We don't know what was actually happening. Personally, I'm not into dissecting every clip, photo or facial expression. So much of it is open to interpretation, and people often see what they expect to see.

My point to the previous poster wasn't about what Meghan does when she's there. It was about the claim that by not turning up she isn't supporting Harry.
When she goes, she's accused of making it all about herself. When she doesn't, she's criticised for not supporting him. Whatever she does seems to be the wrong choice.

You mentioned Meghan standing in the middle of the polo team photo as an example of her making it about herself. But how is that different from Catherine standing in the middle of a polo team photo at the polo chartiy event William's was at? I'm not saying either of them did anything wrong. I'm just questioning why one is criticised for it and the other generally isn't. That's why I do wonder if there are double standards.

Earl Spencer seems to have fallen out with his own daughters, famously being absent at their weddings. I doubt he's that concerned about his grandchildren's future relationships.

I have some suspicions that the whole visit may have been about the rumoured 'Diana documentary' on NF. Perhaps the Earl is going to be a part of it and that explains the Althorp stay? As far as I'm aware Harry has never been close to him and his family, so having them stay does seem a bit odd.

I think CS is smart enough to know it's a busted flush. How many documentaries / films have there been ?? Only thing that might generate interest is if PW was also involved and it was focusing on what kind of parent she was etc but PW wouldn't touch it.

No William wouldn't go anywhere near this proposed 'documentary' and would likely be quite angry about it. Didn't he (and Harry) say back in 2017 that they wouldn't be speaking publicly about Diana again? Not sure Earl Spencer would want to antagonise the future King for the sake of a crap NF 'documentary', but hard to know really.

I do think the marler interview is a risk with very little reward, especially as it's of British interest. These yearly weeks of exposure are not going to have the impact Harry wants. Invictus next year could have a better chance but once he's back in the US these events in hindsight rarely move the needle.

We do know though, @LifeIsTooShort247 because Sophie Chandauka later described what had happened and it was entirely consistent with how onlookers had viewed the Markle manoeuvre. Nobody else on that podium (apart from H because he’s scared shitless of her) has endorsed MM’s version of events.

On the subject of double standards, you ignore the fact that MM and the PoW do not have equal status. They aren’t judged by the same standards, why would they be?

But for the sake of accuracy, the PoW was presenting the winning trophy at the polo so of course she would be in a central position, she had an actual role. MM wasn’t on the stage for any other reason than to get herself seen.

I did say I was holding my nose when I posted about the Marler podcast. I’m increasingly frustrated with the slack that people cut H which allows him to think he can get away with stuff. I’m less interested in the podcast silliness and more concerned with how he throws his weight around when he doesn’t get his way.

The media fawning over Invictus Harry does not address the Harry who reduced Angela Kelly to tears or who demanded the name of whoever made the original decision about his security.

Alison Hammond’s behaviour was bizarre btw, I think she may need her HRT adjusting.

I used to have my own version of the elbow move when I commuted by tube and men used to try and press themselves too close.

But why was Meghan even there at the Sentebale polo? She had RSVP:d that she was not attending. She wasn't presenting the trophy - Sophie C was ... so why would she refuse to step sideways?

This is what people mean - Harry's polo trophy - Harry's charity but she takes it upon herself to decide where people stand and bosses around the Chair of the Sentebale Board, while gripping onto Harry to put herself at the centre of the photo.

This constant overstepping as Harry's wife (rather than any official capacity in the charity) is what aggravates people and turns these events into the HAM show and overshadows the actual charity. IMHO - if Meghan had just decided to join the team and Sophie C onstage and just stood respectfully on the end - I doubt it would have been controversial. But literally ordering the charity's chair about so she can stand in the centre is very odd behaviour.

I know, I found that anecdote genuinely chilling. I don’t know why the DM hasn’t made much more of it, unless CG just wants the episode quietly buried because it’s part of her wild past and digging that up might result in more embarrassment for her.

There’s no doubt H has been lucky though.
